At the age of 22, Babette Beatty became the first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl after posing for photographer J. Frederick Smith in Cozumel, Mexico and now, sixty years after landing the first cover in 1964, Babette is still receiving regular fan mail from her many admirers.

SI is being unscrupulous here by not explaining that this video is 10 YEARS OLD. The big reunion was the 50th Anniversary 'Legends' photoshoot. 2014. She'll be turning 83 this year.

I was too young to appreciate Babette's appearance when it came out, but I do fondly remember the 1973 swimsuit issue with Dayle Haddon on the cover.
