Honestly I’m gonna call mine a Suchomimus apparently there are individuals with a slight dip in the sail like this model. It’s based on a generic body plan anyway so might as well
It reminds me of how Deinocheirus was often reconstructed as a generic (but gigantic) ornithomimosaur (and of course they had a lot more to go on) before it was learned how weird it really was. So who knows, maybe Siamosaurus actually looked like Mattel's croclike monster! Or maybe PNSO is right. Phylogenetic bracketing can only tell us so much. Bullyland outdid PNSO in speculation by making Protocheirotherium from footprints alone.
They could've just made an ichtyovenator, wich is from asia, and is bassed of mores than just teeth. Honestly, you could call this a ichthyovenator figure with how much it resembles one.
I don’t care what people say about this “bastard” of a figure, in my opinion holds up as one of the best spinosaur models on the market. I will be using mine as a siamosaurus and just to clarify siamosaurus is not just known from teeth, it is also known from partial remains of the neck, spine and parts of the ribs i believe. Hope to get him with the jurassic west book by john foster!
@@MahmWithThePlan They are likely referring to indeterminate spinosaurid material found in the same deposit. Not that it actually matters though since the holotype / Siamosaurus teeth are unlikely to be diagnostic and there's almost certainly more than 1 spinosaurid in that formation.
i will get this figure only for the beauty to be honest....its so fragmentary animal that it can work as any fragmentary spinosaurid, and they are many at least some proportions and shapes are based from spinosaurids like baryonyx and suchomimus and other species combined but it still is bugging my brain but yea at least the figure is beautiful i will personally call it siamosaurus
Well, this is indeed suchomimus. Don't bother waiting for another one. And i do think it's a quite good representation. Well, the tail is a bit off, the dip in the spine also, but still it's the best one available in this range by now. Suchomimus. Not Siamo whatever.
I saw this one it is still a pass on my part because i’am not a fan of the aquatic tail it does like similar body wise to dan’s dinosaurs suchomimus exact for the tail
Another good screwup from PNSO. Honestly they're not one of my favorite companies. Sometimes, they absolutely nail a species (like their dunkleosteus), but usually they make a figure that's the best by default and then overprice it (yutyrannus, Wilson, etc.). Whenever EoFauna or GR Toys tries the same species, it's usually a loss for PNSO, despite their pretty harsh prices.
Definitely a weird figure I’m just calling a siamosaurus I mean there icthyoventor a Asian spinosaur that more well know they could use like we need a good icthyoventor
PNSO really upping their marine reptile game.
I don't care about the name too much, I love this thing. It's a perfect Siamosaurus (aka spinosaurid specimen SM-KK 14.)

Hope you enjoy ur Denver vacations, its cool since there are dinosaur related activities.
Ahhh so exciting! I’ve been waiting for this review from you since I heard about the figure’s release!
Come on when I saw this announced I thought it had to be a prank, we heard a Suchomimus was coming ❌❌
Still a very nice looking figure on its own
what a cool Plesiosaur model
Giving it arms and legs was a bold move over flippers
Excellent review of this pretty epic figure and I love it despite the naming lol
I'd just call it some unnamed hypothetical Spinosaur.. It looks really nice. Might buy.
It's beautiful.. love it .
The paddle tail bothers me a little bit, but overall it’s okay I guess. We all wanted Suchomimus though.
i like it its like speculative biology

Dino scream will you be reviewing the new mattel dreadnoughtus toy ?
Absolutely!! Soon as it ships/ find one in stores
@@DinoScreamReviews great 👍 looking forward to it
What Scale would it be if you use the Siamosaurus estimates which is about
17 to 30 feet
It would be 1:17-1:30 scale
So the (kinda) First PNSO Figure thats in the 1:18 Scale

Siamosaurus is literally only known from a few teeth. No other material.

The dip in the spine and tail are likely based on Ichthyovenator.
