hey, I am using a vectran 2.2mm x 8mm but as the material is too stiff to make an eye splice. Can you guide me on this like what should i do for a stiff material like vectran
As much as I like the D-splicer and I am trying to get some (in Italy, please help!), I am sorry to say that the showed technique is wrong. Once you put the loop into the second hole, the fibers of the second passage are goning to be twisted.
Hi, You are right. after pulling the complete eye through the rope. There will be a twist in the rope. Most of the time we remove the twist, see movie ruclips.net/video/Eph_3mqPe_A/видео.html. For very thin loosely braided ropes you can leave the twist in the rope. Not for thicker ropes! For getting the d-splicer in Italy you can simply order online: www.premiumropes.com/d-splicer-fixed (shipping only 3 euro)
