I read The Naturals series last year and just absolutely loved it. I wish more people talked about in on Booktube because it's so so great but so underrated! Great review. :)
@@thejordanjournals I completely agree!! I get so excited to meet anyone who had read them because they are just so good and I can’t stop talking about them!!❤️
My friends have banned me from talking about the Naturals if I say it they act as if I swore. I wish more ppl would read it because they just judge by the cover
I love how her relationship with Dean in the series is so low key, like you know it's there, but it's not what the story is all about! I'm not gonna lie though, I always say I don't want too much romance in all of my books, but I wanted it so bad with Cassie and Dean!!!! I felt their passion for each other, and I wish the author had given us a little more just in the last book!!! I 100% agree with your whole review though. Definately one of the best plot twists. I never expected the ending!
I did want more from Cassie and Dean too. I’m a huge fan of romance in my books, so ya know it wasn’t enough for me haha. THAT ENDING SLAYED. My soul. Never would have expected that.
I am a huge fan of The Naturals series and Criminal Minds. My favorite book is the first book, but i love the whole series. My least favorite (which i still loved) was the second book. This series has some of my all time favorite characters.
+Theresa Doumit I think the last was my favorite because I love how everything ties together. Even things you didn’t know were planted back in the first book came back around. I wish the series would get more love and attention.
She’s coming out with a new YA novel later this year. I have no idea if it’s a thriller or crime novel, but I’m super excited about it. I also really enjoyed The Fixer by her, as well.
I literally JUST finished reading bad blood like 5 minutes ago and I don’t think I’ve ever cried that hard reading a book before😂😂😂 I NEVER EVER read books cause it’s SOOOOOO hard for me to find ones I like and if I find a book and I read it OUTSIDE of school... you know it’s a damn good book.😂 I literally started and finished this book today😂 it’s like midnight rn, I haven’t book the book down once! Not even to go to the bathroom!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loved the part in the last part when Cassie says she won't do something and Sloane says "There's a high probability that Lia is going to tell you you're lying."
I love how, even when finishing the series, I still have questions. I really want to know more about The Natural's childhood, apart from Cassie. One thing about the series that shocked me, is how the love triangle wasn't completely predictable, and every single character in the series had a history that hooked you. Also, if anyone think there are only four books in the series, there is another small edition to the series called: Twelve.
I think I've only heard one other person mention the series, and they were the reason I picked them up. It is most definitely an underrated series, which is a shame because they are deserving of so much more love.
Wow, this is a phenomenal review. You stated all of my opinions so eloquently. The only points I disagree on are the books' ratings. I think the first three are 5 star, each better than the next, and I'd give book four 4.5 stars because the ending felt...I don't know, rushed? Or something. Anyway, JLB is my favorite author because she's a fricken genius and I really enjoyed hearing your review. This video is 3 years old, so probably no ones going to see this, but ya. :)
I've read the first two books and I'm really excited about picking up the last two. I actually liked the second book more than the first book because I liked the case that they were working on. This was such a great review!
Thank you so much!! That's one of the great things about this series. She writes four very distinct and unique crimes, so there is something that can appeal to everyone. My favorite overall was definitely the conclusion. That crime was insane!! I hope you enjoy the second two as much as you did the first two :)
They aren't a super popular series on booktube unfortunately :(. But I am trying to change that because they are amazing. If you like Criminal Minds, I HIGHLY recommend giving these a try :)
I finished this series a couple days ago and for school, I have to do a presentation on the books I've read this year as prep for GCSEs and this review is extremely helpful for that so thank you so much.
wow, so glad to see so many people who love these books! Just finished my fifth read of the series, and i’m still blown away by that ending, favourite series of all time. Planning on reading the e-book of the characters when they’re older, have you heard of it?
+Phantom RandomHD I thought that was such a good twist though. I totally didn't see it coming at all. I actually remember staying up until like 2 or 3 am reading that book because it was so suspenseful.
+Phantom RandomHD Oh okay. Gotcha gotcha. I really liked it too and it completely shocked me. The whole end of that book shocked me. It was one of my favorite plot twists that I've read. Oh the whole series I was always so worried we were going to lose one of the core 5 kids.
[M] ScaryHD please put a spoiler warning before you spoil, some people came to a 'non-spoiler' review as not to know what happens in the book before they read it.
I added these to my TBR the first time I heard you talk about them. The premise just sounds great! Also, the whole series is on the Hoopla app for anyone who uses it.
That's awesome!! It also makes them more accessible, so anyone can read them haha. The premise is absolutely fantastic. I haven't read anything like it before :)
I'd not heard of this series until you mentioned it and I'm so glad you have it sounds amazing I'll definitely be adding the series to my list of books to get :)
it's the exact opposite for me! books 2 and 3 are my favorites - specifically book 3, while I didn't enjoy book 1 and 4 as much. For me I most enjoy being able to follow along and think think the crime through myself!!! I need a lot of connections and to be able to unravel the crime at the end of the book myself after the reveal based on previous clues which was just missing in book 1. This made me find book 1 a lot less believable and I didn't enjoy the plot twist so much. Also feel like in both book 1 and 4 there was not enough time given after identifying the killer to actuallly talk to them see the consequences unfold and the full effect this reveal has on the characters and story. I probably still preferred book 4 over book 1 because I found book 1 to be a bit boring but book 4 was just way too rushed for me. I found that the super genius case set up in book 3 would have needed at least 2 books to fully uncover and have more leads and connection to the masters. book 4 was very rushed, way too many new characters (some entirely unnecessary in my opinion) and some of the plot twists just not believable enough. also too many plot twists too quickly, not enough time to process and definitely not enough pages in that book. With the way the crime was set up, the leads we were given and the investigative process the series peaked at book 2 and 3 with me, which I was super impressed with! Overall enjoyed reading them tho
I love this book thank you for doing a video on it im glad i checked it out! currently reading (well listening) to the first one! And hating lia with a passion
+luv.ayiii Isn't it just amazing?! I absolutely love this series and really wish it got more love on BookTube. Haha Lia will definitely grow on you as the series goes on :)
I read the series as it was coming out and I loved all the books but I thought the fourth book was kind of a disservice to Lia and Michael. Each book up to the third focused one of the characters in the naturals program (First book for Cassie, Killer Instinct for Dean, All In for Sloane) so I thought the fourth would focus on either Michael or Lia specifically and that there would be a fifth book coming, but it ended up kind of splitting its attention and I felt like that made it a little weak. Based on the title being Bad Blood and the story focusing mainly on Michael at the beginning I think Jennifer went in expecting to follow the one character focus format for it but may have decided to drop the idea last minute for some reason. Sort of disappointed but I still like the series.
Tbh...I loved the first book nd the 2nd...until(spoiler)..... . Cassie ended up with Dean Nd I noticed that after that Jennifer didn't highlight Micheal anymore....that killed the sarcastic....humorous vibe which was in the first book. I lost interest...the story became boring....nd I didn't really like cassie nd dean as a couple...they could hv been good frnds.
I read The Naturals series last year and just absolutely loved it. I wish more people talked about in on Booktube because it's so so great but so underrated! Great review. :)
Thank you!! Right?! I wish more people talked about these books. They are so well done and definitely deserve more love :)

It really is amazing. It 100% deserves more love than it gets.
I also judged it by the cover but thats why i ended up reading the first book and later bought all the rest of the series

I loved the part in the last part when Cassie says she won't do something and Sloane says "There's a high probability that Lia is going to tell you you're lying."
+Safia Haha I loved Sloane. She was so smart and resourceful in such a different way from Lia. There interactions were always so compelling.
thejordanjournals Another part that really stands out was the poker scene in the first book!
I love how, even when finishing the series, I still have questions. I really want to know more about The Natural's childhood, apart from Cassie. I just ordered the first 3 bc of this video .....thanks
Can't wait

Its really weird how Locke died in the first book, i was a bit rusty.
+Phantom RandomHD I thought that was such a good twist though. I totally didn't see it coming at all. I actually remember staying up until like 2 or 3 am reading that book because it was so suspenseful.
I meant I liked it but it was so unexpected, I thought Michael died as soon as he was shot, that was really touching.
+Phantom RandomHD Oh okay. Gotcha gotcha. I really liked it too and it completely shocked me. The whole end of that book shocked me. It was one of my favorite plot twists that I've read. Oh the whole series I was always so worried we were going to lose one of the core 5 kids.

I'M OBSESSED
Great review....I will be picking up this series. Never heard of until today. awesome thx 🤓
+Mrs. D Stridiron Thank you!! It's such an amazing and unique series for YA. I really hope you enjoy it :)

I really want to read it, but there isn't one in Brazil yet... is there a forecast?
Crimnalminds is my all time favorite show!!
+Lilly Burkart If you like criminal minds and like to read YA, I would highly recommend giving this series a shot. I think you’ll enjoy it.
U should do an audiobook (audiobook on All In and Bad Blood)
Little fun fact one of the characters in this book series is related to a character in one of my other favorite book series, Gallagher Girls
Really? I haven't read that series. Is that the one written by Ally Carter? I know people who are huge fans of that one.
2 years late, but what do you mean related???
Omg yes I love criminal minds so much best show ever!!!!!!!!!!
+Korey Daniels Then I would highly recommend this series!! It's like criminal minds meets Graceland with teenagers. So good.
I read it and I’m in elementary school soooo
