I’m just past halfway through the first book and I already can’t put it down and love it, considering this is supposed to be the least favourite Im v excited as to where this is going
Thanks for the spoiler free review. I was not interested in reading the series because everything on social media only talks about the spicy parts and I just am not looking for all spice if the stories not great but now I’m thinking of getting it at the library! Excited to dive into a new to me series
I am only reading the first book and my husband already bought me the next two because I told him I like it like I love Harry Potter. It has made me fall in love with reading again.
I was looking for this exact comment!! I love Harry Potter so much, so I was hoping to find out if this book genre would be up for someone who loved Harry Potter. Have you read all the books in the series?
Just started reading this series a couple of weeks ago and IM OBSESSED!! Book two was so amazing. I might now be in love with a certain black haired high lord 🥰 I’m on book #4 right now and I’ve heard good things about 5. I’m so excited!!
I just recently discovered this book and very excited to read it. I just got it for my birthday this month, hard copy of course, I want to have this book so I can read it over and over again. I have a feeling I'm going to love this book.

Nothing compares to the aching and sadness when you finish acotar every single time I read the series (which is often) I get the urge to read fanfiction which rarely ever happens
Just finished the series today. 5/5. I loved the first book. I sparked me back into reading. For that alone I give it a 5/5 and I feel like 3/5 might be biased after reading book 2. Because you see more perspective in book 2 which not gonna lie made me cry 😅 and I loved them all. Book 2 and 5 are definitely the best in terms of romance. Book 1 and 3 are more action packed for sure. And book 4 felt like a transition book.
I ordered a book set of the books online from Indigo (I'm in Canada, they are likely the equivalent-ish to Barnes & Noble lol) and waiting for them to arrive. They were having an awesome sale this week on best sellers, so that was the extra push I needed! Also, I noticed the whole "daybed" in the background was totally an optical illusion... I totally thought the wooden "footboard" was the actual flooring in the room, and the bed started at the bottom of the brown blanket. So it looked super slim and cute like a daybed further away in the background on the other end of the room, and a very unique looking one LOL!!! Wow, my eyes definitely played some tricks on me!!! 😂
I decided to start reading this series because at the end of book 2(HoSaB in crescent city series) it mentions Rhysand and I went on a google frenzy and figured out the universes collide into some big mega verse so I need to start reading her other series 😂
I'm reading book 1 now and I'm still in the boring part, and I'm watching this video to give me motivation to keep going 😂 since I've heard SO MANY good reviews about it but I've heard that I just HAVE TO power through the 1st book 😅

Ahh... I have recently read all of these, however, the books feel like a kid's story plot, with the depth of kids' story characters.... except with sex. Book 5 is just straight smut... I find it really difficult to ignore the consistent repetition of metaphors and sayings, "she could have sworn...", "Indeed!" "He unleashed himself..." Despite this, I can't put them down- I need to know what happens next. lol

No, to mention, I don't read fantasy, really. But, I like your review, so I think I will start it today because I have all the paperbacks!
If you are familiar with American Gods or the most recent God of War games it’s a similar approach to mythological forms. The work delves into the familiar tropes, schemes, and structures of some myth, folklore, tale, etc and by touching the archetypal form essentially the same way an old oral poet would’ve, they embellish those vehicles of meaning or ideology in relation to the audience and society and situation that they are finding themselves communicating within. This is the way they continue to make those figures and ideas eternal and timeless but also breathe new and exciting life into characters and stories and situations that maybe have never yet existed. So yeah, there’s a beauty and the beast thing going on, but there’s also arguably a Jason and Medea thing going on, or a Helen and Paris and Menelaus thing going on. And maybe something totally new and different too
