    Each country has the right to inspect everyone who enters their country. USA excludes many people who try to enter their country but no one complains about this. Without full facts, hard to say the Korean immigration acted unjustifiably.

    Visa free 90 day stay from South Korea to Thailand was a bad idea. Who knew 80% of Thai tourists became illegal immigrants.
    80% of them never left Korea after 3months. At one point, there were more illegal Thai immigrants than actual tourists. And it is nearly impossible to predict who will become illegals at the immigration. Visa free 90 days stay should be abolished.

    I'm sorry to the Thai who had a bad incident first. However, there is a huge number of Thai illegal immigrants in Korea, and most of them come for tourism and stay in Korea illegally. Before you speak ill of Korea, you should feel ashamed of your own citizens who commit illegal acts against other countries. And you refer to the system of Japan and Korea, Korea and Japan have different agreements with Thailand, and Korea has given you visa-free conditions as a condition of faith and credit. However, Korea made such a move to protect its own country because there were illegal Thai people who defaulted on their credit first. On the contrary, did you think that if there are hundreds of thousands of Koreans living illegally in your country and committing crimes, your country will take strict measures to protect your country?I hope all the situations will be resolved well and each other will get back to good terms.

      It's clearly discrimination, and to believe it's about anything else is just dumb. It's long been known that the ill treatment the Koreans display towards SE Asians comes from prejudice. We have always been thought of as inferriors. If you want to stop illegals from coming in or overstaying, then go after the people who hire them for cheap labor and skip the racial profiling.
      We helped you fight the war and fed your country for years after that. All that when we ourselves also had very little. Over the past 70 years, Korea has certainly become a developed country, technologically. But the hearts and minds of people in Korea still have a long way to go catch up.
      With that said, I must say that Koreans born and raised outside of Korea for the most part are very nice and have very different mindsets than what I have experienced during my visit to Korea.

      @@mrsb6611 This incident is not discrimination, but it can be seen as a mistake by the immigration officers. However, not everyone in the incident was the victim, and immigration officials also found illegal workers disguised as tourists.I want you to know that other good people were harmed because the immigration officers found illegal aliens. But I don't think they can be forgiven for their mistakes. However, I feel sorry for the loud tourists who were affected and I am also sorry for the discrimination you received from many Koreans. But I also want you to know that there are many Korean people who like Southeast Asian people.

    As of 2024, August, the minimum wage in South Korea is the highest amomg Asian countries, including Japan or any other Asian countries. This explains why so many Thai people want to work in South Korea, legally or illegally.
    More importantly, the Korea labor law and the ""Basic Human Rights Law"" of Korea protect and garantee the "illegal" foreign worker's salary and wage. Illegal foreign workers still get paid the full minimum wage and more even as illegal foreign employee. Thai people are taking advantage of the laws.

    This guy is causing drama for his traffic. There are 100,000 illegal Thai workers in S Korea which is 80% of Thai traveling to S Korea for higher pay so most will be sent back if custom feels that they are illegal. These illegal won't enjoy higher pay in Japan and paid less than minimum wage as foreigners and treatment won't be any better thus most of these illegal Thai workers want to come to S Korea with less discrimination in wages and treatment. I like Thai people but blaming S Korea for discrimination is wrong. S Koreans are much more direct when it talk to others compare to Japanese from Tokyo who hide their feels and talk in the back compared to Japanese from Osaka who tend to be more direct like S Korean.

    i am korean, i also have a residential place in Thailand, i love Thailand and Thai people more than any others or anywhere else in South east Asia. our passport control should be very tough on arrivals from Thailand as 78 out of every 100 thai TOURISTS(?) in average disappear, work illegally somewhere as masseurs or farm workers or factory workers. now, in korea we have 400k illegal immigrants, 150k are Thai. think if Burmese or Cambodians arrive in Thailand, almost 80% of them disappear, work illegally, can you still accept them as tourists? Thailand is one of the most important allies, Thai soliders also fought for us during the korean war so this issue is a very complicated, difficult to find the solution as we cannot terminate the visa free agreement that has been there for many decades. we terminated it with Egypt, which had the pretty much the same kind of issue a few years ago. but Thailand is more important to South Korea than Egypt. we would have made that terimination a lot earlier if Thailand didn't have a firm and strong tie with us. so you guys need to understand the situation.

      Hmm… I guess you don’t know how Americans stereotype Mexicans. As a Korean, I can say that Koreans usually don’t have negative feelings toward Thailand. Most Koreans think Thailand is a somewhat poor country in Southeast Asia, but a relatively wealthy country compared to its neighboring countries. Thai cuisine is also quite popular here, such as Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup. I actually had Pad Thai a few days ago.

      yes, because you cannot enter Europe or Australia or USA or New Zealand without visas. entry to these countries can be very very difficult, so at your visa application period, illegal immigrants are mostly filtered, but the visa waiver agreement between korea and thailand was stamped long time ago, now the economies are way different, but cannot terminate it. if Thailand was not important to korea like Egypt, we would have terminate it a lot earlier. think 78 out of 100 from your country disappear, work illegally in korea. you don't feel any shame???

    Kr In the past was a penurious country that was often overlooked by the lack of historical importance. Once invaded by Japan and that led them to be a confrontation ground of the powers in cold war. They yielded to the America, being their subservient. Being patronaged by their master, they were developed to today's status. They decorated their unimportant history to the colossal extent and put into the TV series and movies then propagated the exaggerated history all over the world. I wonder how people easily believed fictions about history in movies so easily as the facts. Once they even claim the origin of Muay Thai. Serving under the white and be rewarded with wealth for long time, guess they now presumed themselves white so became the only Asians in the universe who openly disdained other Asians.

      In the first half of this year, 800,000 Koreans traveled to Thailand, while 50,000 people traveled to Korea from Thailand. Among them, about 30% of them come on tourist visas and stay illegally. There is nothing we can do about it can't be helped. Don't blame South Korea, blame Thai illegal immigrants, they all provided the cause for this.

      Seriously? Do you think korean normal people hire illegal immigrants from Thai? Funny... you even don't know the fact. People who hire illegal immigrants from Thai are not koreans. You know what i mean? Thai illegal immigrants hire thai illegal immigrants again and again and their working area is based on illegal things like drug and prostitution.

    • @niatan100
      @niatan100 9 месяцев назад +5

      @@arcticman1986 the fact: Huge penalties are imposed on employers or companies that hire illegal immigrants. As a result, illegal immigrants are offered jobs by illegal immigrants of the same nationality. Of course, since they can't do business legally in the open, they make money through illegal activities in the dark corners of society. As I mentioned in the comment above, they all have to do with crime. Your argument ignores all of these aspects and defends the illegal acts committed by citizens of countries like yours.
