    With all the new available features on the free plan, I just can’t justify paying for things I don’t use.
    My system is really quite simple:
    -I have one project call “general work flow”. No need for more. Everything goes to inbox first while moving around, then to general work flow when ready to categorize and daily clearing of my inbox.
    -I have 20 or so labels for things like career, writing, family, etc
    -I have one filter using the Eisenhower matrix to establish must do’s vs. should do’s and could do’s, and delegate/eliminate.
    I also link to my applicable notes app, if long range planning is needed.

    I’m in high school and I get overwhelmed with my to do list mainly because it’s just a list. Do you recommended I buy the pro version and make folders for each class period to time block what I’m gonna do in that period and then sort it by folder so it’s like time blocking? Would that be helpful?

    • @Carl_Pullein
      @Carl_Pullein  6 месяцев назад

      You don't need the pro version. You can create sections within a project for your class periods. If you prefer to have everything as projects, then the pro version will help.

    Great video as always! Do you have a video for someone who don't uses to-do lists and wants to start? Or some tips & tricks on how/where to start organizing your time when you never successfully did it before? I would appreciate it :) Thank you for your work!

    Another good one 😊 I was wondering how you would treat ‘family’ related tasks. For example, I have 3 kids I need to do stuff with/for all the time (and I don’t talk about things I have on my calendar). At the moment I treat them as regular/normal tasks because I believe they are important. Do you recommend keeping them in the same system/view every day? I do have a setup very similar to ‘Today’s Communications’, but I have a tag for each family member. Only so I can see very fast if I have any tasks related to my kids. But I hardly use it anymore…

      If you don't need a reminder because it's something you automatically do, remove the reminder. It's a good practice to regularly review your recurring areas of focus and routines folders for tasks like this. If you do them without the necessity of a reminder remove the reminder. You've turned a task into a habit and that needs celebrating.

    Carl, can you please advise me something when I'm trying to gather all my task on one big Dashboard filter...? I mean, I omitting some less important Projects like Routines or Shopping. Generaly my filter looks for now something like this (after translate to english):
    Overdue, #Inbox, Today & !Inbox, Tomorrow & !Inbox, !p4 & !(#Inbox | Today | Tomorrow), @action & !(#Routines | #Shopping | #Ideas)
    And I suppose that is a bad way...

    • @Carl_Pullein

      It might be easier if you use "!" for the things you don't want to see.
