This is the right answer, I've got the combat trigger, the competition trigger and 2 performance triggers with the Johnny Glock shoe, and the more expensive trigger's live in my toolbox! Johnny Glock sells the performance trigger with his shoe attached but makes it harder to find on his site, probably because it's half the price and twice as good as his more expensive triggers! Another advantage of the upgraded performance trigger is how it springs back after breaking the shot, it's a great enhancement for dry firing without racking the slide each time!
Gotta do another with the precocked striker options, Timeny and Glock Performance Trigger. The GPT hasn't gotten much play on RUclips, probably since Stoeger crapped on it a bit. But I've had a good run with mine, probably 5k rounds in with no issues.
Ghost Unit 3.0 Connector im my Gen 3 G30S. All else is stock. 3.5lbs, short pull, no over travel. Super smootj after a polish to the OEM. Yea, its a Glock trigger, it is pefectly safe and having the initial moosh is necessary because it is a partiallly cocked system. To have that eliminated takes away from being a Glock, the safest most reliable.
An isolated trigger testing would probably be ideal. Draw and timer shooting doesn't do anything to tell us how it feels. Like you said no stress situation so slow is completely fine. Also, glocks are dry guns, doesn't need much oil. ✌🏼
Here's what I learned about the Glock. Glock is a fully effective tool that doesn't lend itself to anything other than being a perfect tool unless you make it a hobby. I got my first Glock 17 in 1994 as a college graduation present to myself. I've had every generation of Glock 17 ever since.including my Gen 5 MOS and will likely get every other iteration of that pistol for life. Until 2015 when I bought a VP9 I never really thought about pistols much. In 2021 I stopped in at the gun shop I like and bought in the following order: Walther PDP, Canike Mete SFx, H&K VP9 Match, Canik TP9 Sfx, CZ 75 SP01, Sig P365XL, Springfield Hellcat RDP, CZ Shadow 2 Compact, Staccato Compact, Atlas Gun Works 2011, Walther PDP 5" which I have upgraded everything. I love that pistol on the range but real life it's just a Gucci luxury. The Walther performance or whatever trigger is so badass that it's sheer job and eliminates the tiny incremental upside of getting a $3000+ 2011. I've got 7 Stealth Arms 2011s designed in colors and structure I want, a few months I'll get one of those as well. I'd say I got the pistol world covered, so why do I continue to shoot my Glock 17 more than the rest of those combined? Simple, when I have the chance to get into Idaho's back country I carry the Glock 17 and my Ruger 19122 PCC because they are perfectly compatible. I have definitely become more interested in the M&P 2.0 world. I think my perfect pistol is the M&P 2.0 Metal. I like how it feels, I like how it looks, the trigger doesn't totally suck and there's nothing worse than reviewers that are partial to a certain company that say the "trigger isn't too bad." If I got a total do-over today, I'd go M&P 2.0 high end, S&W PCC, keep the ARs and the Ak I have and spend all my money on ammo. While I like Walther better than the M&P, S&W gives the entire pistol caliber experience and guns end to end compatibility. The trigger is the shooting experience, after that are reliability, ergos, appearance, prestige and last of all perfect accuracy. No regular dude like me can outshoot a modern pistol, every miss is because of me, not the pistol.

I like the Frankenstein Glock as well. Apex shoe and bar with either ghost edge 3.5 or Johnny glock -3.5 reangled plus I have the Johnny Glock striker and a zev 4 pound striker spring and full polish done myself. It's like butter and crispy glass rod break.!
The ceiling for a glock trigger is low in my experience. Nothing you do will be much better than a polish job, minus connector, and change of springs (which is like 40 dollars total at most). Now i want to try an m&p with the apex setup...
@dn1715 Ghost Unit 3.0 Connector. It's unlike any other connector. It's revolutionary. Does everything as advertised. No over travel, shorter reset, no mush, just a consistent pull and a click. I compare it to an Xbox controller trigger. 3 pound trigger pull on the gauge, all else factory. I have gotten under 2 lbs with a 4lbs springs which actually ran reliably on my 45auto despite using ammo known to have hard primers as well as my own reloads using CCI prim23rd new striker spring more often, but I use the factory spring weight only now because it runs more reliable.
I think they say that about heavy trigger for police officers to prevent accidentals shots. Like a cop is pointing his gun to a person and somebody screams or jump scare the officer and boom, a old lady is killed 😂
I have the JohnnyGlock combat trigger in my gen 5 G22 MOS (strictly a self defense gun) and the competition trigger in my gen 5 G34 MOS (strictly a range gun) that is comp tricked. The way both of mine are built, the combat is 3.5# and the competition is 3#. What I love about the JG triggers is that they let me feel like I’m shooting a 1911/2011. Neither of mine are straight stock either though. Mine are completely worked. Although they do NOT feel like the trigger in my custom Wilson Combat 4” 1911, but they do feel very similar to the trigger in my Sig TactOps 5” 1911 that is completely stock. The tct on it gets rid of all the weird overtravel you get with the gpt and the angle gives a very solid wall. If you want to get really spicy, add a 4.5# striker spring. Best combo under $100.

I'm a Glock fanboy and I'll be the first to say that none of the aftermarket triggers impress me. Seems like there should be something you could attach to the rails of your gun to make your guns fit more holsters. The first thing that comes to mind would be a cheap 3d printed thing that snaps on the rails and then holsters would be made to fit that device. Something the shape of a frame weight? Anyways, don’t listen to me. Fun vid!

Interesting. How close does the best performing glock trigger get to your apex'd m&p triggers? As in, would you say your m&p hit factors are 10% higher? 15%? Equal?
