Lurching is the MOST important tech in game, lurch strafes manipulate hitboxes and make you much, much harder to hit. Lurches are also used in most "tap-strafe" mechanics
this video would have been so much better if you actually included footage of the movement tech with each one. half of these clips don't even represent the tech you're talking about
for peoeple asking how to superjump on controller its only three steps ok 1-interact (tap) 2-jump (tap) 3-jump (hold) do them really fast and u get superjump // try it dont judge me before u try it and for superglides all u need to do is when u mantle press jump then crouch but really fast and u get more consitnant rather than pressing them together
bruhhhhh a list of links to guides for everything and maybe an order of process? like what to learn first for everything to make the most sense, would be INSANE! love the content OTTR always great!
For me tap-strafing, supergliding + Tapstrafes (and varians) has won me mand 1v1 and 1v2. Since i can zig-zag around enemie, Ras-strafr and fatigue jumps. Also people have fairly slow Sensitivity, so you got some advantages when your enemy needs to turn 180 one or maybe 2 times. 😮 Also Superjumps to get high-ground in a few occations so its a bit niece
I agree with the super gliding. It has saved my life so many times. So many different scenarios where it’s useful. Unfortunately for me I play on roller so I kinda fucks up my rolla and leads to stick drift. Besides that one of my favs
I just knew the final technique was going to be switching to controller lmao. The build up was there but still a solid ending lol. Another ottr banger.
I'm pretty new to learning apex movements, I just randomly had a super glide video in my recommended, so I practised it, and now I hit it at aprox 70% of the time and even do side to side tap strafe's with it. I learned super gliding even before I knew super jumping and tap strafing existed, after my friend pointed these out I learned them too. Now I'm learning wall jumps, I'm struggling on this one for some reason more maybe because I just don't understand the concept, looking forward to learning the fatigue jumps after I can do wall jumps better.
Don’t know if this helps but I’ve been practicing wall jumps recently! The tips I found that help is face the wall fully 90 perpendicular when wall jumping and also make sure you let go of w,a,s,d when you hit the wall! This has helped me figure it out!
it kinda sucks how many of these listings have the wrong footage (eg. ras-strafe, skip-jump), have inaccurate metaphors/explanations or are straight up not in the game anymore (magnitism on world's edge)
I would just worry about the easiest and most usable techniques like wall bouncing or Zipline jumping but not the crazy stuff like fatigue wall jumps and mantle jumps cus most people won't use those
I’m kinda confused with the grapple hop part of this vid. To me a grapple hop has always been just grappling straight down and jumping to get a double height jump. You described it kinda like that but the video was different? Not sure. Same goes for the mag bounce. And the momentum shift. Probably more that I didn’t notice lol I know the full wiki will probably have example videos which would obviously make this vid easier lol
I’m ngl I’d probably put the fundamentals into S tier because they’re easy to learn but they’re all you really need, you don’t need to even know how to walljump or tap strafe to win games
Also for No-Fill pubs players, Skip-Jumping, Pito-Yuki-Ras Strafing, Infinite Zip Dancing(By using Mantle Cancelling), Fatigue Wall Bouncing and Mantle Jumping are very useful.
Great idea, but i didnt like the format of the video. You should've expalined fundamental tech and build from that, regardless of the tier. It would have been easier to understand.
@Shays_22 yeah I think you can still do things like super glides on console at least I have seen some pros do it on console but it's a lot harder, but yeah I don't know how I feel some PC players use Configs to do the movement tech, but I guess it's allowed so can't be stopped
Where is mantle crouch? Im aware that zip crouch was shown but the mantle version resets your zip interact limit, also Are the clips supposed to show the technique? Because for tap jumping you showed a mag-leap clip, and for mag-leap you didn’t…
I thought The zipline high speed exit (zips dash) was fully patched, and you forgot to mention that neo strafing is stupidly hard to pull off without cfgs (practically cheating) so is not worth learning it
Must learn skip jumps? A velocity dependent movement technique with not noticeable benefit? Besides those specific points that I wanted to clarify everything else was pretty good 🎉🎉 Props for sharing movement tech to broaden audience
Advice from video editor. Don't do those subtitles like that again... Wasting to much time on them. Instead, try to look or record more footage for specific topic of video. Like in ur intro, there was too much of same footage over and over again without a specific reason
About 18m in and so far the only thing I disagree with is the placement of the Neo Strafe. Not because it's not an insane lurch strafe, but because it's nigh on impossible to do what is commonly called the neo strafe manually. Most people need to use configs to do it because of how quickly and precisely the inputs have to be done. And at that point you may as well just be outright cheating imo.
In some points in this video, you talk about a certain technique but show clips of a completely different one. Kinda weird and probably confusing for people who don't already know the techniques
Is there a video like this that only focuses on techniques that console players can do. That's what I'm on, and i personally don't want to see techniques that i can't do on my platform.
Mokeysnipers complete list: www.reddit.com/r/Apexrollouts/comments/11atejw/i_finally_made_the_list_every_single_movement/
thx btw
Thanks
The best movement tech i've learned was slide jump + tap strafe 90 deegres to the door and going outside touching grass
Me watching this intently even taking notes knowing full well I'm not gonna use any of them
That makes two of us
That makes three of us
4*
Ong
5*
Slide jumping is crucial! You cover a lot pf ground very fast compared to a straight sprint
For sure and then you can even add a second slide at the end of the jump to go even further
Worth noting that window magnetism was sadly removed this season, making all magnetism techs impossible now :(
I had a feeling this was gonna happen with the fragment rework. Hopefully they fix it.
They only removed it on worlds edge. It still works on KC
This is honestly exactly what I needed. I keep trying to pick up MnK but it's challenging! Thanks for the vid, Ottr!
ottr has been killin it with videos lately
With the writers strike going on he better or else other creators will get all the people not watching tv....
What writers strike?
Tbh most videos have been mediocre at best. But I guess that's the RUclips hussle
Could’ve given some video examples for a lot of these techniques
Yeah team fucked up on that part
@@ottr hate the new edit. random pictures justing popping out in the middle of the screen

thanks, sometimes it's all you need to rate every movement action, when you want to see the whole picture
Just a reminder that if you don't want to make noise. Do not Slide Jump. It's one of the loudest audio queues in the game
i have found jump fatigue very useful when running up hill
Also you can wall bounce with out fatigue and a slide jump by quickly mantling the wall AFTER the apex of ur jump (u didn’t mention it)
My tutorial made it into a Ottr video... (5:33 - 5:51)
I've made it ❤
all the movement "demons" will say that all movement is viable for each situation
faide in the corner: 👁️🫦👁️
Y'all are definitely on roller

Wow movement tier list. You are getting so good at making all these great content bro. Kudos.
I'm pretty new to learning apex movements, I just randomly had a super glide video in my recommended, so I practised it, and now I hit it at aprox 70% of the time and even do side to side tap strafe's with it. 3:30 Fall stun Mantle. Clip was just sliding down objects. It is possible to mantle jump or superglide out of the mantle.
bro wtf are you talking about, thats called slide canceling and doesn't use a mantle
I would just worry about the easiest and most usable techniques like wall bouncing or Zipline jumping but not the crazy stuff like fatigue wall jumps and mantle jumps cus most people won't use those
you can use scroll wheel as jump for the zipline jump
Can you please make a video for what is possible to learn and use on a controller?
this video has helped a lot thank you
unfortunately window magnetism was removed this season, so mag leaps dont need to be here
I’m kinda confused with the grapple hop part of this vid. To me a grapple hop has always been just grappling straight down and jumping to get a double height jump. Ottr grinding content. Mach weiter so ♥️
i was not expecting to see one of my own reddit shit post in this video lmaoo
It’s the trimp at 9:39 btw, i was just messing around in pubs and randomly hit it
I’m ngl I’d probably put the fundamentals into S tier because they’re easy to learn but they’re all you really need, you don’t need to even know how to walljump or tap strafe to win games
do this again
“why would you give up your most vital resource to fight someone”… octane be like
Ive been doing that slide-jump Mechanic While playing BO4 MP 😅😅😅 makes miss Season 0 of Apex.
Ottr just a recommendation PLEASE PUT TIME STAMPS in your tutorials !! would help a bunch
I was pretty sure that last one was gonna be "Press W" but it was actually a valid point.
Can u show the finished tier list? With everything on it
Well researched 👍
I dont even bother learning tap strafe because i gotta have weapon cycle on scroll
A little icon indicating weather the tech is console achievable or it would be good.
Can I accomplish these movements on my console?🤔🤔🤔 Maybe I’m just not good enough😞😢
Slide jump and bunny hop + good track, aim and I'm ready to go
Can you make a controller movement tier list or at least a tier list angled toward controller players
is it possible to b hop as fast as a octane stim? idk how but my friend on console is able to do it
on top of that he can do it while holding a gun and shooting its really weird
16:38 A tier
18:51 S tier
Here I was thinking the consensus was don't use movement, just switch to controller for those inbuilt cheats. Or was that just the pros?
Me: oh nice video
Also Me: ohhhh this is for MnK
i like how sometimes (like at 9:49) the clip he shows isnt the technique...
Putting lurching in d tier is wild
all you need is wall jumping, tap strafing, supergliding, and superjumping and youre fine
Also for No-Fill pubs players, Skip-Jumping, Pito-Yuki-Ras Strafing, Infinite Zip Dancing(By using Mantle Cancelling), Fatigue Wall Bouncing and Mantle Jumping are very useful.
the fall stun corner cancel isn't that hard to do. I do it a lot on controller, its really good
my favorite movement technique is sprinting
The Mag Jump seems super broken. I watched it like 3-4 times and still didn’t understand.
Great idea, but i didnt like the format of the video. You should've expalined fundamental tech and build from that, regardless of the tier. It would have been easier to understand.
You quite literally described the bunny hop and slide hop as the exact same thing and said they're not to be confused. Try differentiating them?
10:26 that is crazy. i wish i could do all these tech movement but i suck lol
I hate it cuz it’s strictly pc. They can literally fly but say aim assist is broken
@Shays_22 yeah I think you can still do things like super glides on console at least I have seen some pros do it on console but it's a lot harder, but yeah I don't know how I feel some PC players use Configs to do the movement tech, but I guess it's allowed so can't be stopped
Yoo great video bro!! I've been trying to post apex content more recently keep it up 💯
22:42 my guess is slide jump….
Haha I was right. I had been waiting all video for it
Where is mantle crouch? Im aware that zip crouch was shown but the mantle version resets your zip interact limit, also Are the clips supposed to show the technique? Because for tap jumping you showed a mag-leap clip, and for mag-leap you didn’t…

Sorry Ottr but lurching is definitely b tier as a movement player it’s the best thing u can u use besides superglides 1 jump wall jumps etc
ottr you put lurching in d tier but then put ras, neo and pito strafe in a even tho they are "lurches"
Holsteting is S tier as most players are controller, which makes them most of them too lazy to holster which means you are faster if you DO soo.
Advice from video editor. Don't do those subtitles like that again... Wasting to much time on them. Instead, try to look or record more footage for specific topic of video. Like in ur intro, there was too much of same footage over and over again without a specific reason
Yeah we had already decided not to work with this editor again but thank you for the feedback
"jump fatique is completely useless" lol
I subscribed because my homie said i need to
Learn to move in impossible ways 😇 on Apex
About 18m in and so far the only thing I disagree with is the placement of the Neo Strafe. Strafing is def A+ tier
Goated vid
damn i guess im terrible at the game considering i only incorporate maybe a handful of these techs
where the mokeysniper link in comments
i forgor
Could have sworn the last tech he was gonna say was win your 1’s 😅
Shouldn’t the first 4 be s if we say they movement tech
In some points in this video, you talk about a certain technique but show clips of a completely different one. Kinda weird and probably confusing for people who don't already know the techniques
broooooooo how much captions do u want??
Hey Ottr, why do you do what you do?
Yeah you need to redit this or something
Watching, knowing full well I wouldn't use any of these 💀
Is there a video like this that only focuses on techniques that console players can do. That's what I'm on, and i personally don't want to see techniques that i can't do on my platform.
crying in controller bc my pc is in a different state rn
Me taking notes even though I play on console
F in chat for punch boosting… you will be missed
Beautiful
why is it called "pito strafe" 💀
i had to make sure to really emphasize the T ehre
I can't tap strafe on PS5 😢
i hyper jump with scroll wheel all the time
You sure? I tried I couple times and for the first jump I could only get it with a manual super jump, even when trying with Valkyrie
Pov: me knowing i can do all of this shit in Titanfall 2 easily
17:15 im sorry but this just straight up shouldn't be in game. Thats it.
F for punch boosting
I don't get it?? You said you were rating based off viability in game but you put literally just moving in bottom tier.
Ambutablow
I don't understand how to do any of these...
is that not an AI voice like 10 seconds into the vid?
People who can’t wall hop scare me
goast strafe
take a shot everytime he says technique (love the vid tho)
10:12 cool
