You should squeeze 2 seconds at the top, never touch your weights, your taking all tension of the muscle when you do!! Rember muscle responds from tension and torque
Not recommended....if you miss the weight, spotter can't prevent them from crashing on our chest or making your shoulders hyperextend as the momentum of weights heads towards the floor.

Hell no. If someone spotting me I want their hand placement on my elbows

Couldn't agree more..elbows is the only way imo.
should not touch the weightS Together at the top, and should not lock out your arms at the top
And shouldn't grab the wrists when spotting, since that might make the lifter drop the weights
