Cowboy Kent, I have watched you since chopped and didn't know it. When I subscribed to your channel it took me back to the day's with Cast Iron and all the recipes my Grandmother showed me. Wonderful to see a Shannon video! Cowboy, do the same soup, but cook a few cloves of garlic with your onions, then add some gorganzola in the soup. You'll love it!

My friend Randle, a Missouri cowboy, introduced me to cast iron cooking, and left me a set when he moved back to USA from Mexico. I would love to just hang out with Mr. Rollins one afternoon. Love his laid back personality and dry sense of humor. Especially this day-in-age when so many people are so high strung and/or focused on so much superficial nonsense that in the end won’t amount to a hill of beans. He just seems so spiritually at ease…it’s great!

I’ve made this recipe with some additions; I add some diced celery to the onions and bring everything to temperature and use the stick blender to smooth it out.

I have started watching all of your videos, from 12 years ago.I'm down to about 6 years now.
I have been slow smoking baby back ribs for a number of years now. I did a slab this past Saturday, using your rib rub for the first time. I will have to say this is the BEST rub that I have ever used. Really out did my self on these ribs according to my wife. Will have to order some more. Keep up the good videos.

It's a first... Shannon's Tomato Soup Shuffle...! Loved it!
Your easy creamy tomato soup looks yummy, Shan and Kent did a super job cooking and being silly, as usual. A tip .... If you get ahold of some cans of maters that are very acidic, stir in about a tablespoon of sugar into the pot and it and it will smooth it right out.
When I was a youngster, our family ate tomato soup every week or two. Us kids loved it because we would pop a huge pot of popcorn and serve it with the soup instead of crackers. This is the only soup we served with popcorn. Important Instructions .... Right before every bite, drop about ten kernels into the soup, then scoop it up and eat right away before the kernels get too soggy. Keeps kids busy, whether little or big. Try this and you'll understand why it makes for good memories. God Bless You and All. ( :

Thank you so much for this. I am lucky that my parents grow tomatoes every summer. Every time they call me over for a hand with something, I always end up taking home a bag of a few tomatoes as thanks. My freezer gets lined with mason jars of tomato sauce every year - and I think I'll be making a few jars of tomato soup now, too! Even with the canned crushed tomatoes (which I use, too) - this is a new recipe to me.
