The only difference is MHW:IB has the content to sustain a fashion-based endgame. Warframe still has an unfinished story and thinks Tennogen is “content”.
Played Warframe for over 500 hours because I fell in love with the aesthetic, left because DE will never “finish” the game.
@@goldenaries0860 I know what you mean, I played 1.6k hours and I just wanted to see where the goddamn story will go, but they keep adding stuff that, albeit cool, doesn't advance the story a single bit, i.e. Railjack most recently.

Yeah, the only permanent "investment" is research points, and I'm currently swimming in more than I know what to do with.

I actually emptied my Research Point because of this lol. Well, actually, I've been swapping HP Regen augments, and the Layered Weapon system only makes it worse. Worth it though.

Already using it on my Rajang HBG. The Guild Palace HBG looks straight up like a Prime weapon from Warframe.

Also worth noting, if you decide to change the layer of a weapon already layered. You get ALL the materials spent on the previous layer back.

You can also use parts farmed from KT at the elder melder to try your hand at getting Sublimated and Incandescent weapons. Just a lil add on for those who didnt know as yet.
What's the difference between the two? I've been making Kjaar but don't know the difference between sublimated

alot of players abusing zinogre for decoration by simply using KS ice CB. welp, it´s zinogre´s fault for not giving the decos that we want.
I got my Taroth Sword Fire back on my first roll at the melder. I’ve maxed it out and gave it all the custom damage upgrades and, while it probably isn’t meta, it’s probably now my most comfortable elementless weapon and I’ve layered the Brute Tigrex’s longsword on top of it.
@@cartoonvideos5 It doesn't surpass the Raging Brachy or Safi longswords, but with elementless it surpasses the Ruiner Nergi and Gold Rathian long sword. And it's a very comfortable weapon, I've gone whole hunts without having to sharpen with it once.

@@cartoonvideos5 Without MT (although I might've had razor sharp). It doesn't come with purple which is it's only detriment, but it's got loads and loads of white, it's an excellent weapon if you're looking to break free of MT.
And now we just need the same system for master rank layered armor

Currently on MR69 cap, and the choice (for both layered weapons and armor) are very limited.
(currently seeing safi jiva, guild palace, and 1 other at unique layered weapons, but i was aiming for velkhana or dante layered weapon for my deep schnegel)

It’s usually a combination of MR and what monster parts you have obtained. Searching the specific layered weapon/armor you’re looking for via what parts it requires - and thereafter collecting said parts usually unlocks the recipe in game. That’s what I personally had to go through to unlock some layered sets/weapons I happened to be missing: i.e finding tempered Rathalos parts for his layered weapon.
Just keep running through different monsters in the guiding lands for now, that should up the options available.
A point you missed, you can "craft your oen weapon look" by using variations of base and parts. So far my favourite is kulve+ base and namielle parts sword and shield. Amazing looking weapon
When you're late to Iceborne so you're not even halfway through the iceborne story but you want all of these cool crossover weapons and weapon skins.
Not all Great Swords are equal, but all Great Swords can look like the Wyvern Ignition!!!

Charge blade got the most serious buff from Kulve, as Kjarr Ice gets free crit ele and over 1000 ice damage, but elemental HBG is looking good and bows+duals got a slight increase. Raw weapons are gonna be sticking with safi though. Also I’ve been rocking that Stygian horn while maintaining over 100 damage per spin and DAMN does it feel good
ohhhh right I forgot they did this, I was using costume armor mod and was kinda sad I couldn't match the weapon to my set ... totally forgot about this feature, I probably already have the ones I wanna use too from farming it back then

The upgrade system for KT weapons seems similar to weapon upgrade system in MHGU

If you change the layered version of the same weapon you get you materials back too
These weapons can be good because they are rarity twelve with full augments as well as custom augments, giving you free rein to customise as you want, as well as being able to add layered. Kjarr still has crit elemental/status and taroth weapons have the kulve set bonus.

so happy to finally being able to use the guild palace weapons without the need to farm for those damn arenas, but not all options showed to me, I wonder if it needs certain materials I have not obtained yet since I'm still leveling up the Giuding lands, (still working on the volcano and frost areas for instance)
Yep, can confirm. Every Layered Weapon needs specific materials in order to view and craft, whether it be from their Tempered and non-Tempered Guiding Lands materials, the Event Quest's special tickets, etc.
This is the update I was waiting for
One very important part of layered weapons system is fact that you get materials refund when you reset the look. Full refund. So if you farm just few Red Orbs or Fest Tickets they can last you forever. Even if new, better weapon comes out just reset look of your old one. That means that you can change your look anytime you feel like it without losing much (1000 research points needed to change look don't get refunded).

I thought they would have certain unique weapons layered but it turns out ALL of them are in there i was so happy, the only thing thats left is MR layered armour which AT Namielle will be dropping some for beating her

I keep switching my hammer layered weapon skin between the space lord, meat hammer, stygian zinogre, and furious rajang as I can't make up my mind on which one I want to use more

I guess what people are doing with the new KT weapons is getting a good crit element dual blade or bow and pairing it with 5 piece safijiva for maximum deeps.

AT-Namielle Tickets can be used for 5 Set's of Layered Armors, including Artian, Black Belt, Guardian, Acrobat and Showman Earring, also used for the 5th upgrade of the Evade Window Charm. Armor will be nieche, still the same set Bonus. You can already get the tickets using certain mods and can see the set's. But the saves gonna get corrupted

Gotta admit despite not have IB I totally love the look of the Guild Palace weapons especially the CB, LS and HBG now all that's needed is MR KT layered armor to get a love Greek god look

Stygian zinogre weapons all have amazing visual effects, yet they weren’t the best weapons out there. Now I can finally layer my safi weapons with stygian zinogre’s red lightning effect!

Wyvern ignition for greatsword is the ONLY obvious choice for weapon skins ;D
I immediately changed my Safi HH to a Stygian Zinogre HH. That was literally all I needed from the layered weapon system to be happy with it. Now, to find a team that wants to do afew AT Kulve runs so I can get a few Emperor Nuggets and get Kulve's Gamma layered armour, give my Raging Brachy gunlance one of the Kulve looks and have a Golden Gunblade Knight!
The kulve layered set looks so bad ass with the guild weapons. To bad its such a tedious pain in the ass to get a research commission ticket +
Sad thing is you cant get the Ammo belt and Laser Sight on your Heavy Bowgun at the same time. I tried different combos but haven't found the Look.

Do you have to be a certain MR or HR? I'm not seeing the option for layered weapons in augmentations
I noticed on SnS perfect rush attack, you roll after the 2nd charge attack. Have you tried rolling after the first perfect rush charge? So basically skipping the shield bash and go into another backhop for perfect rush again. I think this is the highest dps combo for SnS
Why does my cb layered doesnt have dante layered option? I have red orbs...
I really wish you could permanently keep the layered weapons after you buy them once. If you decide to change your mind and go back to a previous look (which you will because this is Fashion Hunter: World now), you're gonna need the previous materials again which kinda sucks. They should also have a "Layered Weapons settings" in your item box menu so that so you can manage everything.
So when do you need to spend resources to craft a layered weapon? Every single time you want to apply it and if you switch it'll cost more to switch back? Once per weapon? Once period and then it's unlocked permanently for every weapon whenever for free like the layered armor?
This has nothing to do with the video but I would love to see a crossbow kinda weapon in the next Monster Hunter game, a crossbow that shoots arrow but the weapon has bowgun like type ammo, like for example spread shot arrows or explosive arrows that explode on inpact or maybe with delayed explosions or idk you can take an arrow from your quiver and stick it to the ground and depending on the arrow type it has different properties like mine arrows or maybe an arrow that shoots a bunch of spikes in every direction like the cactuar but less op. Oh! Maybe having cartridges instead of quivers would be cool.
Was definitly suprised that they went ham on the layered weapons. Now we just need layerd master rank armors. I love my safi jiva armor, but i really dig the banbaro armor sets two

Is this not out on PC yet? The only layered weapon options I have are Girros, Great Jagras, etc.
Problem is I sold all my old Kulve weapns lol. But then I did the siege and got some weapons I was disappointed that when I upgrade it to 12 it is still blue sharpness. I haven't get all of them so I am hoping there will be some IGs than can make it to purple.
Upgrading kulves weapons are alright but if you're going for an elemental build once you get through all 7 custom upgrade levels and augments you can get max elements without a single gem.

I want to get the new rarity 12 Ice charge blade but I never did the original siege. I thought me being master rank it would be nothing but I sorta don’t know what I’m doing. Apparently there’s damage checks and it runs away every time

Just look around YT. There are already guides for DB and elemntal HBG. CB Kjarr Ice returns. I don't know if I can plug in the names, so just search them on YT. Still no verdict on bow i think but I believe favors kjarr bows.
Do I have to unlock the Dante charge blade and make it for the layer or can I just hold my stuff without making the blade to make the layer?

How do you get more choices for the unique weapons, like rajang and zinogre sns for example. I only have like fulgar anja, workshop, and guild palace, otherwise I'm still stuck using the bland bone and steel custom layers

Kinda neat the rarity for the Kulve weapons to go straight to 12 from the stock level.
Emmanuel Alejandro not all though my rarity 6 only caps at rarity 10 and rarity 7 caps at rarity 11 only rarity 8 can be upgraded to 12

Is there like some kinda progress requirement to make some layered weapons? I use hammer and there wasn't a lot listed for me to make when I was looking. Very specifically I wanted the Shara hammer as the layered weapon, but it didn't appear when I was in the layered weapon menu.
You need to have the monster's guiding lands material, mostly the tempered version, for shara weapons to unlock i think you need to get the Elder Spiritvein bones (Tempered elder dragon bones from guiding lands)
Wanted this the whole time, that's why I rushed through MHW story to Iceborn, I love it
Any tips on beating Kulve? I can't get past the final DPS check. Does breaking parts help in keeping Kulve in the area or is it just straight DPS? Thanks!
for me she seemed to move to the final area after her horns broke. if you mean the final area i have no clue, only done it in MP and she died like a minute after she went in.
@@recklessprinny276 I've only tried in MP as well. We've sometimes gotten to the final area with her horns still attached, but moving to the second area seems predicated on breaking her shell. Just having trouble with the last part where you need to slay her.
@@JenkinsOtherEar Ive been blessed with getting match with raw HBG tryhards so that last phase ends casual speed run levels of quick. it seems its just kill her at that part. try to save your mounts for that part if your having trouble and if any of your friends can switch to sticky bowgun or hammer to stun it that will help too

@@JenkinsOtherEar No problem! I don't use optimal builds really ever honestly so trying to beat kulve taroth solo will require me to probably never not be attacking with my build but ill do it at some point
