Jason is top notch. I began playing backgammon four months ago when I accompanied my sister and son to the Minnesota tournament. It was there that somebody recommended playing in online USBGF tournaments. Jason was one of the first I was paired against and in our email correspondence, I mentioned how new and nervous I was. Not only was he kind, he offered to analyze our match together once we had played. We met via zoom the following week and he spent over two hours going through the match with me, helping me understand simple things like midpoint, crossovers and pip counts. It was clear he had also spent considerable time beforehand prepping for our meetup, analyzing my blunders and ready to help me understand them too. All for free, all for a stranger. I look forward to meeting him in person at the Chicago tournament later this year. Thanks for the great interview!
