Actually she has used songs earlier though but now she's using bts's songs so frequently since her korea tour was announced. And nowadays you can see that many indian celebrities started following bts on social media. Sometimes I feel that are they only using bts for their own fame ☹️😔
There were many Indians who were fans of kdramas and kpop since a very long time but yes, in pandemic the list of people kept increasing on a whole new level. BTW in 2015, kpop idols Suho and Minho from the groups EXO and Shinee along with few others came to India and travelled here. But from what i have seen in the episodes, only few fans recognized them even though they were still so huge in other parts of Asia. Hopefully, i wish for them and for many other kpop groups to come to India and see for themselves how much Indians have grown as fans and stans of many kpop groups and ofcourse K-dramas.
Not few only one. I bet even 45% india still don't know bout korean drama n pop. When I got into bts in 2018,we were only two people the friend who told me n me.. And that too we only knew bts until the pandemic hit. Like the other group I knew was txt ofc. But now I stan 4 groups bts, txt enhypen, seventeen. It feels awesome having others get into k-stuff.
Obviously, there are still plenty of ppl in India who aren't aware of kpop/kdrama bcz it's very subjective which comes down to their personal interests and choice. Also back then, people mostly were more of kdrama enthusiasts than they were into kpop i guess. I mean, i started watching kdramas in 2016 bcz of a drama clip that i found interesting but there was my friend who despite me talking abt kdramas with her never showed interest in checking them out. And for kpop, there weren't huge fandoms in India like how we have now but there still were fandoms even though they were very small in number scattered here and there( hence why we very rarely came across someone who were into kpop back then) bcz i do remember an indian exo-l saying that there were fans of EXO(3rd gen) in India supporting them from their debut era which was 2012-13 and it only shows that there were ppl in india who did listen to 2nd gen kpop as well. I am saying this to only tell that there were fans before pandemic and now it's like thousands of Indians know of kdramas and kpop bcz of Squid games and BTS.
Best part of kdrama is that every single character has thier own story not only main lead or second lead supporting actor has their own story which I love the most. It's very exciting to watch her in kdrama as indian as kdrama fan, lots of love from arunachal pradesh india 🇮🇳

Kpop, k-drama, had their first big massive wave around 2007-2010 in Manipur, India. Every family had dvds of Full house, autumn in my heart, Boys over flowers. The small shops we had in our locality had dvds playing k dramas and people wouldl swarm to see -all ages. I was a fan of old kpop bands like 2ne1 , big bang, tvxq, and of course shinee and girls generation . From class 6 to class 10. Then the korean wave slowly decreased and then now it's increasing gradually again. We used to have arirang and KBS world on our channels since time unknown so we got obsessed with the number of shows. A reason why I didn't do well in my studies during school years

This is when people from all age group and gender started enjoying Korean content, food, fashion, culture etc.

the thing is Indians don't realize their value if they see any foreigner talking about India they get so happy and excited because Indians have underestimated themselves so much and not only korea literally every country would like to have Indians do something for them because as soon as they put the title "India" or "Indian" in the title they no longer have to worry about views likes or comments and that's really sad.

Also back then, people mostly were more of kdrama enthusiasts than they were into kpop i guess. I mean, i started watching kdramas in 2016 bcz of a drama clip that i found interesting but there was my friend who despite me talking abt kdramas with her never showed interest in checking them out. And for kpop, there weren't huge fandoms in India like how we have now but there still were fandoms even though they were very small in number scattered here and there( hence why we very rarely came across someone who were into kpop back then) bcz i do remember an indian exo-l saying that there were fans of EXO(3rd gen) in India supporting them from their debut era which was 2012-13 and it only shows that there were ppl in india who did listen to 2nd gen kpop as well. I am saying this to only tell that there were fans before pandemic and now it's like thousands of Indians know of kdramas and kpop bcz of Squid games and BTS.
Best part of kdrama is that every single character has thier own story not only main lead or second lead supporting actor has their own story which I love the most. It's very exciting to watch her in kdrama as indian as kdrama fan, lots of love from arunachal pradesh india 🇮🇳

Kpop, k-drama, had their first big massive wave around 2007-2010 in Manipur, India. Every family had dvds of Full house, autumn in my heart, Boys over flowers. The small shops we had in our locality had dvds playing k dramas and people wouldl swarm to see -all ages. I was a fan of old kpop bands like 2ne1 , big bang, tvxq, and of course shinee and girls generation . From class 6 to class 10. Then the korean wave slowly decreased and then now it's increasing gradually again. We used to have arirang and KBS world on our channels since time unknown so we got obsessed with the number of shows. A reason why I didn't do well in my studies during school years

@@niagarafofo1243 cos maximum viewers of such shows are not people like u and me..its the older aged people and housewives ..its the mothers and aunts ..who watches such shows..and now that tv has reached somewhat to rural areas..people who are earning even lesser than $2-5 ..thats the people under poverty line..rectify me the margin if am wrong in this point..but the main thing is such people with lesser education would still enjoy such family dramas. So its not an issue k theres still such shows..the main problem is the content itself..writers themselves can make better family dramas jese 80s or 90s me bante they..Indian content hasnt progressed..rather it has gone to regressed content..what u give will be consumed more by these audience..so theres no point in complaining about the pesence of shows..rather the main issue is the script of these stories..

Actually people from northeastern region of India started watching hallyu content like k-drama and k-pop way back in 2000 thanks to pirated copies coming from Myanmar. The second wave was around 2005 with the entry of POSCO, when state run free-to-air channel Doordarshan did a nationwide broadcast of Dae Jang Geum (Jewel in the Palace) and Emperor of the Sea dubbed in Hindi language as part of cultural exchange between South Korea and India. KBS World also became available on cable network. The third wave pushed by paid cable and satellite channels from 2014 to 2016 onward with shows like Boys Over Flowers, Descendants of the Sun, Coffee Prince, The Heirs etc. dubbed in Tamil and Hindi language. Fourth wave or mainstreaming of Korean popular culture in India happened since Covid-19 lockdown from 2020 through streaming and OTT platforms such as RUclips, Netflix, Rakuten Viki, Amazon Prime Videos, Disney+Hotstar and MX Player. This is when people from all age group and gender started enjoying Korean content, food, fashion, culture etc.
