The gameplay in this game that is similar to Contra and Vendetta (Crime Fighters 2). It uses the same engine as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons arcade games.
When this game was new, and I was at the mall arcade, and wasn't playing Mortal Kombat, this game, and Lethal Enforcers, as well as Street Fighter II got my quarters. This one was colorful, and fun, though I always thought it was based off a Saturday morning cartoon (it wasn't, my memory can be fuzzy sometimes :P).
Yeah Moo Mesa was the one with the cartoon, could never find any info on a Sunset Riders cartoon, so I write it off as something that I thought was, but wasn't.
I remember a level with a game with a train coming along the screen with Indians throwing tomahawks at you and stuff don't know if it was this game a train level ?
I just finished this game as Cormano. I love his costume and the Wild West-style appearance in game's setting. I would like to play this game again.
23:11 Awesome finish Alex, you both killed each other at the same time.
HAMSTER is planning to release the arcade version of Sunset Riders at the Switch eShop!
I always liked how if Cormano is in play for the El Greco fight, he'll wear El Greco's hat for the rest of the game.

+Bloodreign1 You sure you aren't confusing it with Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa? It was really similar to Sunset Riders and was based on a cartoon

Quite the gunslinger, amigo. Great job! 🔫🐴
This game is now part of Arcade Archives on PS4 and Switch.
I loved the part when both Bob and Richard Rose died at the same time. Obviously you had a bunch of lives remaining. lol
I don't think I ever made it past Chief Scalpem back in the arcades..
"Bury me with my money!" hell no it's all mine!

Sounds like Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo together.
Arcade had a YM2151 and a very high quality 4-channel sampler
Can you play as Steve?
Yeah, you can pick him at the character select screen.
You gonna pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?!🔫💇🎩
