Mowing tall grass with Gravely ZT/HD

This is a small pasture a friend needed mowed. They were worried about snakes and wanted to get the pasture ready for horses. I volunteered and made it look good for them. It took 4 hours, mostly trying to get the cuttings to the side of the pasture away from the house.

I do. Its a 2021 model. Very nice sturdy frame. I do plan on getting a role bar for it so I can mount tools and weed eater on it.

Have you ever seen a mower that cuts tall grass clean on the first pass? If so I would like to know what mower that is.

@@retiredlife848 100% agree. It’s very hard to knock down grass that tall on the first pass. It doesn’t matter what kind of mower you’re using. Unless you are cutting at a snails pace you’re going to have to do a 2nd pass.

@@Saveyourbseven with a push mower you have to go over then pull it back and go forward again and they can sit closer to the ground.
