There is just something about Craig Taborn for me that since I first heard him in the 90s with James Carter he has always grabbed my attention and taken me on a musical trip. Thank you so much for posting a solo gig of his. Amazing. I hope i get to see him in person someday!
This completely improvised and composed-on-the-spot music is truly unlistenable. In that case, if this is considered music, then we're in trouble. For years, we've been trying to play like this, but the results are disastrous and predictable. Please, stop these fake music. When there's too much improvisation, the intimacy of creation is lost. Everything becomes flat and superficial. The music disappears, making room only for the ego of the show-off musician. Music is about emotion, not messing around.
@@vladimirmihajlovic2485 Honestly, I was just kidding in my previous comment. I genuinely love this type of spontaneously composed music, even though the result may seem a bit quirky. Let's not take it too seriously, much like those whimsical improvisers who don't follow any set rules! Previous comment was all in good fun, admittedly, I was just pulling a prank, playfully acting as someone who can't stand this kind of sound (joining the ranks of millions worldwide). It's all in good fun, though. Impro can come off a bit eccentric, but that's part of its charm
Haha, you certainly got me there :) Improvised music like this can often be a bit of a challenge because it may take time for the musicians to hit a beautiful section or patch but that's where all the fun is. It's like being allowed to enter the inner workings of their brain and perhaps soul @@schorodinger86
Craig is a real Master! love those free form pieces where he gets into a trance-like state!

So I reckon you don't like Keith Jarrett either

@@vladimirmihajlovic2485 I'm not a fan of Keith Jarrett, and I don't know much about him, but certainly, I don't despise him.

Different strokes for different folks. This is just as heartfelt and intimate a performance as any other
