Man as a ARMY veteran I won't lie, I want to do a combat veteran mc club. Maybe it could help prevent future suicides amongst us, also be a cool way to give us purpose again by helping our communities and public speaking at kids schools etc. I truly miss being around my battles on a daily. Most members of outlaw clubs are Marine Veterans, Army , Navy, Air force you name it. Probably about half of my brothers are vets. And they say that the 1% is the only thing that compares. Some say there is even more brotherhood than the service. Because they can’t call their Ver brothers at anytime of day, and all times of night and have 20-200 Brothers there in 20 minutes.( depending on the situation). But no matter what the situation a brother will be at my house regardless. The 1%er stuff is REAL we eat sleep and breath motorcycles and Brotherhood.

As Someone who has started Several Clubs (i moved a lot because of my job with Harley-Davidson) 1st one was a group of Dealership Employee's, and we started with a 5 inch patch on the front of the vest, then earned 1 piece on back, then 3 piece with a city rocker, the finally a state rocker, i had resigned and moved buy heard they were patched over by local dominant. 2nd was supposed to be a Family RC but we got to close to the local 1% club and they kept peeling off our membership, and this is a warning i will give on the Bar you spoke of, make sure the bar owner doesn't have connections or friendships with local 1%ers, We attempted what you did to make a local bar a sort of meeting place for us, but the owner was a wannabe with a local club and we had this local club mud checking us every time we went near the place. We had the Same Problem some in fighting with people wanting to step up to to the various 1% clubs and in my eyes No loyalty to our club. I'm with you on the Protocol Bullshit, i wear what i want when i want, and I'm Willing to Defend it !! Same here as to why i never joined a local 1% Club, 1 didn't want their baggage, 2 none of them were my friends, i wanted a club with my friends, and 3rd i would never be allowed to prospect for a 1% club because i was a Navy Cop, then worked for a federal Security firm, then with a small town police dept for a couple years and then a decade or more with Wells Fargo/Burns international Security all LE. In the End when it comes to starting a club if it's not in your heart don't put it on your back !!!

    Hey Fingers,
from my point of view, you ask the most important question at 1:24: "Why"?
As you say yourself: there are many motorcycle clubs. And many of them welcome people who are interested in becoming part of their club.
I understand your reasons for starting your own club back then. But the result was: quickly established and even faster gone. You had experience in the scene and it happened to you. If someone have no experience and just because he likes to ride a motorcycle, have a few friends who do this with him and find the scene exciting or feel called to let the "bad guy" hang out, he will be away faster than he came.
I think, anyone who wants to become a MC member should first go the usual way as a prospect and member in an old-established club before doing something of his own - 'cause only then does he know whether he is right in the scene and whether he can persist in it.
Keep it up, Fingers. Good job!

I recall an "MC" back in 1968 in Vancouver BC called The Mancheros....they had a half dozen "patched" members who wore 1%er patches and cuts....they also had one chopped Honda they took turns riding. What was so amusing is that I had friends in a couple of actual 1% clubs...they would ride over the the Mancheros clubhouse...walk through the front door as the Mancheros ran out the back one....then take all their booze and go party.

Mom got us into street riding while dad liked off rd, then we got friends an their parents into Goldwings. That's when we started going cross country too GW rallies (Oregon City too NY). But we always just rode as family groups, not making club patches, etc! I kept my parents on they toes, cause I'd always brought bikers from east coast home for the nite. I still do that, invite bikers home! I was teaching an a pair of athlete came too demonstrate trampoline in school, one was U.S. Champion, an other was World Champion, so I brought them home instead of hotel room. Had great dinner, then my wife sewed up requirements on their outfits. They invited me too two more demonstrations, an asked me where I thought they could improve! People don't invite people into their homes or set up club houses! But that would be fun to have a club house. Hope John Travolta doesn't destroy it! I had a US & World Champion in my house an all they were mostly interested in my motorcycles, sat on bikes for hours while we got too know each other an where I ride! That's a real part of biking too me! Connecting with others from across country, fixing problems, maintenance, clean clothes, great dinner an safe place too sleep in peace! That's fun! I brought a biker home from California, then we went too his house in San Jose too watch Harley dirt flat track! Great fun! (Cal Crothers, Gary Nixon, etc...) We should have "club houses" all across America an just hang out an support motorcycling.

    • @FingersFew

As you say this blessing stuff is all shit. Wtf do they think they are. We held big rallies and they'd turn up: we let them in for free. Wasn't worth a fight and hassle for a few dollars .
I was origanally against forming a club: just wanted to ride with friends and party. But it happened: I ended up being the chairman. We didn't have president.
I walked away when I looked around and thought most of these blokes aren't really my mates and the parties weren't the same.

    • @FingersFew
      @FingersFew  3 года назад

Put in the work and make sure you don’t have any local clubs that will take offense. If there’s a local club, let them know your intentions. I wouldn’t ask for permission but merely inform them of your goals and purposes.
Generally, there are biker bars, bike nights, motorcycle shows, swap meets and things like that which draw all types of bikers, including club guys. Hang out at those events.
ALWAYS, show a unified front of brotherhood. Never trash talk (brother fuck as it’s often called) anyone within your crew.
Once you’re ready for the next step, start off with t-shirts and move to a patch from there if you like the direction it’s going.
Just FYI, the average club life span is 3 years. So when you see clubs that have been around awhile, you have to understand that their doing something right.
      Hope this helps man.
Thanks for watching and being a supporter of the channel.

By the way, you're dead on about starting a new club. When I was a teenager, I was a hang around for a local fledgling club that was starting. I'd just become a prospect, when some shit went down and our club was forced to fold. I'm not gonna get into club names and this and that here.. for obvious reasons, but a larger club that's probably the biggest club in our state, had approached our officers about being a sister club, ( a puppet club), Problem is, that club already had a lot of trouble of their own... with law enforcement, etc. That clubs problems stuck to our club, and local law enforcement was NOT happy. I don't know the ins and outs of what happened exactly, because like I said, I was just a prospect... I only heard what they thought I needed to hear. But, I know that connection with that larger club... ended up ending our club.

@@FingersFew Yeah, it was easy for ME anyway... becuase as a prospect, particularly a new one, you don't really know shit anyway lol. You just kinda go with the flow, and do what you're supposed to do. Not gonna lie though, I'd definitely be interested in prospecting for the right club. I'd do it all over again.

Totally unexpected but I feel an exciting new adventure in my life coming up ahead hoping what you said helps in my favor

Mando- great question. As long you are not directly involved with the criminal activity you’re probably fine. Not here’s the stuff people don’t like to hear. If you are present and knowingly do anything to further the crime (think acting as a long out) you’re at risk. I hate to say it but, how far will you trust the guy that is involved. Will he flip the script and say you were involved if he gets arrested? If the criminal activity is big enough and the feds get involved is there a possibility of a RICO Act? A lot of things to think over. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Never understood the MC deal. It’s a group of guys, each one of them has 2 balls, like everyone else. we all have the rights to bear arms. Why would you be intimidated by a MC ou for a thug in the hood, who want to rob you? they the same. You’re in USA and are free, Ain’t no one should be telling you what to do. I don’t get it the fear that ppl call “respect”. My hobby is shooting, it’s like me saying “oh you gotta go pick up brass for my reloads, so we can allow you to shoot with us” that’s the total opposite of freedom. Actually dumb, if you ask me.
