In my town, the girls and boys schools were separated. So for the nativity, for the girls schools, they had more roles than just Mary and Angels. They would also be playing Joseph, the wise men, the little drummer boy, the narrators, the various inn keepers. Etc. Which was a weird way in which separated gendered schools actually reduced sexism 😂
You forgot the made-up-at-last-minute parts like innkeepers wife and neighbour, the three wise men’s camels, Joseph’s dentist and the paediatric nurse who delivers Jesus
I remember getting cast as a narrator so many times that for my last few nativities the teachers announced me as one before they even said who Mary and Joseph were, weird times lol
I was never Mary, even though I was the only child who looked like I came from the Middle East. The blonde pretty girl was always chosen. Awww the 70’s and 80’s.
me being the only 5 year old girl not cast as an angel or mary and instead being a flipping WISE MAN ???? they put a tea towel on my head

Fun fact: women who were cast as Mary in the nativity at primary school earn more than women who were cast as anything else
As mother to a six-year-old Bethany I feel like I have won a competition that I didn't even know I was in! 😂😂😂😂

If primary school teachers were honest 😂
“What u all angels r going to do is stand at the back with ur arms in the air” got me!!! 😂😂😅
