Me and my kids saw this performance at Download in 2009. Sadly my husband was killed in a motorbike accident in August this year and my kids asked that this was played at his funeral - there wasn't a dry eye in the church - awesome tune - thank you Black Stone Cherry x
ya,i know exactly what u mean,i saw them live at the tennesse theatre in august 29.i got lucky and met ben and chris,and later got a signed poster signed by all the band members.black stone cherry rocks!
i was 13 years old when my farther passed away. this hit me hard because not only was he my farther, he was like my big brother. i never really got over the fact that he passed away until i heard this song as it does make you think and it also shows that even though at the time you feel as if your the only one that has experienced it, that actually alot more people have and its songs like this that bring us all together.
that must have been hard for you as it was christmas and as i know too well it isnt the same with any type of loss even the loss of my uncle and grandad effected my christmas even though i was not too close to my grandad. its amazing that even with the greif and all how people pull through hard times. and yes no matter what the ones you have lost are always with you.
This song came on last night when I was out at a local rock night. I lost my dad in July last year to brain cancer. I don't think I've ever walked out on a song before. But this makes me so sad every time I hear it :( miss you everyday dad 01.10.1963 -- 29.07.2012
This song is just another rock ballad to some. But to many people including myself, it brings tears. My father died in July aged 57. I'm a musician aged 24. And to this day, no song has touched me so much. Black stone cherry has given me something which will stay with me for the rest of my life. It's amazing how just one little song can mean so much.
The leeds gig was awsome, thanks to BSC for comming back to sign and say hello to the fans, very special touch. thanks again Cherry for another awsome night baz & bran
Just pure, raw talent, saw them in Manchester supporting Alter Bridge and they were amazing, listen to the lyrics, this song touches base on so many levels.
I know the feeling only it was my grandfather who was more of a father figure to me. Same age and it was five days before Christmas. But I know he's looking down on me like the song says.
That's kind of their most famous song, isn't it. The things our fathers said made us all to what we are, doesn't matter if you're a bad or a good person.
This song reminds me of my best friend who was killed when he was 9. There isn't a day that goes by wh I don't think about you Timmy. Give saint peter some hell for me!
for me this song would be more fitting for things between me and my stepfather then my biological father who's not been around since I was 3 months old.
@janevolturi100 i think so yeh theyre all the same age as they all grew up at the same time in two towns just next to each other, theyre all about 23/24 i reckon definitely one of the best band of the past 20 years though!
@Alhambrattp i dont know what brings u here. read the title, click on music that u like what ever genre it is and enjoy listening to it. its ridiculous when people hate legitimate rock n roll.
@Alhambrattp vedder is an amazing singer but this is southern rock . powerful southern singing (BSC) not some wanna be pearl jam or creed for that matter. u would know this if u listened to lynyrd skynrd.
I'm sorry to say but that was a pretouch. Normally they do this on the Piano, but a bad Note can only be played if it's integrated into the melody, and he had enough space to do this pretouch.

А я из 2018)
Only if the backing guitar was tuned correctly and the effects weren't so heavy, This would have been perfect.
my children had this played at their daddys funeral x
@Alhambrattp vedder is an amazing singer but this is southern rock . powerful southern singing (BSC) not some wanna be pearl jam or creed for that matter. u would know this if u listened to lynyrd skynrd.
Let's get a close up of the guy tuning his guitar...
free festival = rheinkultur xD
@AlexOnSeLine LOL
the other guitar was out of tune but still great song!
I'm sorry to say but that was a pretouch. Normally they do this on the Piano, but a bad Note can only be played if it's integrated into the melody, and he had enough space to do this pretouch.

@XxLarsiixX : Why not? Jesus rocks !
@gclskateboarding No I'm alright thanks, toodles.
2:08 is he returning his guitar =S or is he bending the strings at the top or summit amazing song =]
@themaster0fclimax no shit. its recorded
ben wells should've used clean or a different pick up
@Alhambrattp You must hate all southern rock then! ZZ Top frowns upon you!
Is he christian? I saw his necklace
1 bad note in this 3:15
everything was okay except guitarists
to bad his guitar went out of tune
1 bad note in this
Sounds like a rip off of "Fields of Gold" by Sting. Especially that riff. Vocals are Pearl Jam-lite. B.S.C. owe Sting and Pearl Jam some royalties.
