Finally someone posting a video about a lift for a Tiguan. I have a 2020 SEL and I wanted to do this and did some research and I couldn’t found any videos about this anywhere. I went from a 235/50R19 to a 235/60R18 rims with mud tires, I gained about and 1” and with this lift kit its about +2.5 inches from stock. I’m so happy with the way it handles and how it looks. Great video.
Just finished my install and this video was invaluable! Only (minor) thing that tripped me up was that you mentioned the axle bolt was 22mm (instead of 24mm). Otherwise it was super helpful, including the part about turning the rotor to get the axle to settle into the hub. I seriously doubt I could've done this without your video, thanks again!
Sorry about the mistype/speak about the axle bolt. So glad this helped you out. That’s why we put them together. Send us pics of your upgrades ride on IG - @godadwagon
Great video, I’m looking forward to install a h&r lift kit for the tiguan, but this really shows the approx height and stance. Would love to see the tire/wheel combo you’ll use!
I just got a 2019 Tiguan. I started following your Instagram when I had a 2017 Alltrack. I may do this to the Tiguan eventually. Great, clear explanations here.
@DadWagon with camber correction, will a wheel alignment be needed? I also read somewhere that the MQB platform doesnt not have camber adjustability. Having an alignment done would mean using cam bolts and ither hardware. Which, to me, is not ideal. Please advise. Thank you for this detailed video. Looking forward to more contents from your channel.
Hi Thank you for your amazing video. I have Tiguan 2016 TSI 2.0 and plan to buy the parts you used to do the same to my car and a little more to be 100% an off-road Car. ( I liked the red car at the end of this video). So please advise how I can buy the parts, & what about the suspension System should be replaced? if I need to change the tire to BF Goodrich All Terrien The maximum 17" size. I need to contact you Please. Regards
hello, i have a kodiaq, they share the same structre with tiguan mostly, i take to a shop and did a 30 mm lift already, but how about 50mm lift? do you think is this possible? if not is it possible with some more modification?
If you lift it 1inch you lose 1 inch of flex on back because shock absorber is extended in neutral position 1 inch more... high speed bumps can break shock while topping it up...
Greetings from Argentina! I'm wondering what about brake lines and wheel sensors? are those long enough to work 1 or 1.5 inches higher than factory? BTW, great video!!! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching Lio - we didn't have any issues with brake lines or sensors during this install - nothing seemed to be stretched or pulled beyond their capacity.
You got 1.0" more clearance in the front and 1.5" in the rear, is that normal! Wouldn't that be a problem with the vehicle not being level and your headlights shining towards the ground?
Why such clearance? This car is designed and made not for off-road. The center of gravity is higher - there will be poor handling. I think the cv joints will soon come to an end, and the suspension too. Here everything is constantly in a state of tension. Buy yourself an all-terrain vehicle, it will be better.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Scott, thanks for the comment and glad you found success with this kit as well.
Awesome! Can you share photos?

Is there a liftkit maybe for B7 Passat Alltrack?
How much faster would your cv joints wear out with the lift?
About 25% faster, that's what it does on the touareg
Hello! What size sockets were needed for the job?
hi, whats better for the lift, some lift springs or the spacers lift? i cant find and answer to this!!!
It's awesome, but what's the max tire size now?
did you get an alignment after?

What does VW manufacturer say about lifting?

What would be the meaty tire you recommend that’s not off road with the same wheel? Thanks.
That's a cool looking car jack there! May I ask what type/model you're using to jack up the car? Thanks!
Its shown in 7:45
Quick Jack SLX5000

Does feel rough while driving?
Not at all
Is this the dude from Pete & Pete?
what size wheel spacers did y'all use ?
15mm in the front, 20mm in the rear
Is it compatible with the VW Passat b7 alltrack?
Im not sure. Maybe @b2bfab would know - email them.
Would it fit on a 2021?!??
??
Does the owner of the Tig have a channel?
Not at this time - all that content is here.
@@DadWagon well, I want some overlanding videos!! Subscribed

Not really. The back of the Tiguan Normally sits up a bit higher than the front

go ahead - and stop saying go ahead
Will this work for a 2022?
I'm not sure.
