So far this build is a lot of fun. I'm in the 80s with it and I agree with EE that lightning strike isn't the best for bosses, but having blade flurry available on a weapon swap make it very efficient. If anything, lightning strike feels like KB in terms of clearing, which is great in my book.
Why do we take +30 str over Master of the Arena? I know Vaal Pact cancel out life regen, but theres other goodies there too. (New player, this is my first build\char - Great guide!)
@Engineering Eternity would switching out the crit damage on the Oni Goroshi for Ignite Chance Support be viable in the long run? I've been testing it out and so far it would seem that having the extra 49% chance to ignite might be the stronger option as my Ranger frequently has the "Her Embrace" buff up. I was also wondering how you mitigate the mana loss when spamming Lighting Strike without using a mana flask? Thanks for yet another excellent build.

I found that if you're not using the tombfirst gloves, curse on hit with warlords mark and orbs of storms helps you with defenses a lot and some more regen.

I have made an Ascendant version with Slayer and Raider and "Life Leech effects are not removed at Full Life" really helps to deal with the fire degen from her embrace.
Any thoughts on Berek's Respite unique two stone ring for this build ? I have no idea how good/bad its effects are, but reading its description, it seems like a not so bad item, especially for a lightning/burning build

Regarding the ascendancy choice, I would use the onslaught and frenzy nodes since her blessing makes avatar of the veil not as useful since they both grant immunity to elemental status ailments, and the her blessing is specifically not onslaught so they stack together =D
What's the reason for the CWDT gem on Immortal Call being level 8 without leveling the Immortal Call gem? Level 8 CWDT allows for a level gem requiring 52 which would allow for a level 10 immortal call right?
how do you use kaom's heart in your build? it requires nearly 200 strength and i dont see how you get enough of that with rings and amulet... or at least is it just me? please answer D: it looks really cool on clip
In the leveling tips section You mentioned that we need a mana flask if we dont have Elreon -# Mana Cost jewellery or Thief's torment, but you didn't show any of these in the gear. I guess i might have missed something. How does the build sustain mana without any of the items mentioned earlier? Great guide btw

Hi there, im fairly new to the PoE and i'm a bit confused about Immortal Call!?! We dont have an Endurance Charge Generator in this build, or do i miss something?
Can only farm Oni-Goroshi on the Twilight Strand; if you enter town after killing Hillock, you can never farm it with that toon again. Need to level up to 7 on Twilight Strand, which takes a lot of run throughs (just kill every critter every time), but worth it... I got my Oni on the 12th farming run after hitting level 7! (I rotated 3 characters so that the instance reset was never a problem)
Realize that the sword will drop after you reach level 7 however it could take many runs before it Does! Also I noticed that Hillock changes color a bit and he also is much harder to Kill! I have found 2 swords & my pal has found 5! It just takes a lot of runs
Only thing with Onslaught on raider ascendancy is on Quartz Infusion. It is written clearly "You have Phasing while you have Onslaught". It is not "You have Onslaught while you have Phasing ". Getting Phasing is easy as it has "Gain Phasing for 3 seconds on Kill" on Quartz Infusion. EE didn't choose Rapid Assault ascendancy node as it is the only thing on raider ascendancy with "Gain Onslaught for 3 seconds on Kill". So now my question is, How can you even gain Onslaught effect with the same tree and with the same items EE has shown us ?
But according to the POB link of EE , he is not even using any abyss jewel with that mod. That's why I was confused so much in the first place. There is literally no chance to gain onslaught according to the tree. But I can go Graceful assault to gain 10% chance to gain Onslaught for 3 seconds on Kill below the Thick Skin cluster. It will take extra 4 points though.Nice build BTW. Will try soon. Thank you EE for a nice build :)
Belly for more defense, Inpulsa for better clear (some more dps with shock up) & yriel for flat better damage. It depends on what you are lacking, and since they do not need to be linked, you can get most for a reasonable price.

I'm new and I am lvl 82 with this build, but I don't understand the CWDT/ice golem/ancestral protector/herald. Can you elaborate why this is done before I invest in the links?
The CwDT just summons the Ice Golem since I am lazy. Ancestral Protector doesn't really require links, since we just use it for the attack speed. Herald is just Herald and there due to remaining socket use.

Not Dave i'd think so. I'm playing as oni frostblades and molten strike slayer, swapping between the two and I'm pathed through ranger and kinda into trickster. This playstyle seems really similar to mine.
try using the jeweler method. craft 2 sockets and make them blue with 25chrome. then craft 3 socket and if it hits blue, craft 4th socket. if not go back to 2socket and so on
Quick note: 25 chrom is for 2x of the same color. 4x chrom will make it easier, but you might have to roll a few times to get red instead of green on the second socket.
Google: "Vorici calculator" Out of the blue you are facing a tough proposition because Stakonkja is a deep green gear (requires dex only), so to get no green slot is gonna be expensive (you are looking at at least 1000 chromatics if you have the mythical statistical "average luck", whatever that means), my advice is to see if you have red (str based) gear and roll that into 3R1B which is gonna be super easy probably within 5 chromatics and use stakonkja as a more green heavy setup if you have such need, otherwise sell all your chaos and get 1000 chromatics and make GGG proud.

Using Elemental Focus in your Blade Flurry will prevent you from getting Ignites for "Her Embrace".
But you will lose a ton of damage in doing so, since Her Embrace gives 123% of weapon physical damage as fire.

Yes, oni goroshi is a one hander that just uses two slots! so it counts for one hander nodes
late reply but oni goroshi is a one handed sword that takes up two melee slots and can have 6 sockets

You can use Wildstrike for sure! I was using it for awhile, but found Lightning Strike smoother.

AutoTauri also can use a jewel to gain the phasing tbh
I use an Abyss Jewel for onslaught. Veil provides more benefits in terms of gearing/extended fights.

The one node in hybrid leach feels enough for my character following this build. Note that u need some damage before it works by itself
You get mana leech after level 50. I mention those options specifically for leveling.

so the oni farm technique is not nerfed? and all you have to do is level up kill everything log off wait 1 minute and relog kill everything again ?

Take a look at the Raider ascendancy nodes that the build takes. Maybe you will figure out why.

Why would you take Ancestral call on an AoE attack? It won't proc, right?
Lightning Strike is not AoE
Do that mean that if you hit a pack from very close, they will disappear because they take almost twice the damage?

try using the jeweler method. craft 2 sockets and make them blue with 25chrome. then craft 3 socket and if it hits blue, craft 4th socket. if not go back to 2socket and so on
Quick note: 25 chrom is for 2x of the same color. 4x chrom will make it easier, but you might have to roll a few times to get red instead of green on the second socket.

Out of the blue you are facing a tough proposition because Stakonkja is a deep green gear (requires dex only), so to get no green slot is gonna be expensive (you are looking at at least 1000 chromatics if you have the mythical statistical "average luck", whatever that means), my advice is to see if you have red (str based) gear and roll that into 3R1B which is gonna be super easy probably within 5 chromatics and use stakonkja as a more green heavy setup if you have such need, otherwise sell all your chaos and get 1000 chromatics and make GGG proud.
