Aisha pops off on all the songs she does for strive
I find a lot of the songs from the previous guilty gear games fascinating, despite the vast majority of them being instrumental they were able to convey the characters very well.
regarded as one of the best themes in the game, & understandably so. Also yeah that short guitar solo hurt me the first time i heard it too lmaoo. shouldve went on for a lil bit longer
I love this song almost as much as I love the subhuman self.
Took me long enough, it's a duet between Milia and Zato! Because they've have a relationship in the past! Zato is the male vocalist! Can't believe that took me 4 years to realize!
Pleeeeaaaase check out "Jack a dandy"!!! Its Slayers old theme from a older guilty gear game and its a BANGER
keep it up
I def understand what you mean with this one, it's awesome overall, but doesn't really have that wow moment in the second third
And you're correct, Millia is from Russia ^^
Like most of the OG cast, she was orphaned during the 100 year war just prior to the series, and was then taken in by the Assassin's Guild founded by Slayer.
There she was trained by and fell in love with its current leader, Zato-1. It wasn't a healthy relationship though, he was a bit older, manipulative/abusive and all.
In order to meet the demands of the guild, Millia cast the Forbidden Curse Angra, which is what allows her to control her hair like that, but for a heavy price. We've yet to been told what it was though, nor if she cast the curse wilingly or was forced to.
The Guild became more corrupt with time, and Millia struggled with depression over it, eventually betraying Zato during a mission and fleeing.
Since then she's been hunted down by asssassins eager to get revenge, and she eventually decides she'll have to kill Zato to have peace.
Coming back around to this song, I feel it's pretty much about what ends up being her story from then on- even as she's free, Millia is haunted by having been part of that guild, and doesn't feel comfortable as a civillian. But she comes to piece together that she doesn't have to reject that part of herself, as long as she follows her own ideals rather than be controlled; her feelings for Zato don't need to define her being 🤔
