    Good for her......if you do something well, don't do for free. And runners only have so many good races in them.

    • @namesake7139
      @namesake7139 6 лет назад +4

      I think runners lose motivation. Not necessarily their prime but motivation

    • @joshcrayons
      @joshcrayons 6 лет назад +3

      E C3 You don't "lose prime". It's just nature to lose strength and speed as you get older, even if you work extremely hard. Gatlin is a great example.

    • @namesake7139
      @namesake7139 6 лет назад

      Crayons I agree, it is nature. Time Corrupts all eventually. In terms of track though, I think a lot of athletes never reach their prime.

    • @namesake7139
      @namesake7139 6 лет назад

      Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this I agree to a certain point.... But it's more about remaining competitive. Kim Collins, Justin Gatlin, Mike Rodgers, Allyson Felix. It takes a lot of motivation to keep working out like that. You can't cover any weaknesses up in track

      Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this I agree

    Sydney was trending on Twitter as usual. Sis already has a big fanbase and isn't even a pro yet. Sydney is going to be track and fields next superstar.

      Dwight Love true, if you type in track and field stars she's one of the 1st athletes to pop up along with well accomplished big stars like Usain, Allyson, and Tyson. It's crazy how big she is already before turning pro.

    • @dwightlove3704
      @dwightlove3704 6 лет назад +3

      Mier Garz The hype began for her while in high school.I knew of her father Willie McLaughlin he was a high school legend in NJ he was a sprinter in the early '80s he was the USAIN BOLT in my era of the aforementioned '80s.He attended EAST ORANGE HS.

      But still thats a great achievement to even go to the olympics still in high school plus her mastering the 400mH in the time that she did proves she'll be a pro.

    She is going to be a marketing dynamo. She's talented, beautiful, speaks well, provides well thought out answers to questions, thinks before she speaks, even when caught off guard, is poised and gives a great interview. She is going to make some company and herself a lot of money. Cant wait to cheer for her and the other upcoming young track superstars the U.S. has produced, in the next Olympics.

  • @lcb-
    @lcb- 6 лет назад +11

    She made the right decision because to become the best, you need to compete against the best time and time again - she will become demotivated competing against high 55, 56, 57 collegiate girls whilst she is running 52 high to 53 mid meaning her progress could stagnate

    • @lcb-
      @lcb- 6 лет назад

      James Spirit - with Shamier Little, Ashley Spencer, Dalilah Muhammed, Georgianne Moline it's going to be tough to even make the team - but she still is young enough to make the next 3 or 4 Olympic teams (2020, 2024, 2028 or even 2032)

      ur expecting an 18yr old to resist a multi million doller contract with nike or someone?? The pros can actually make her work for a victory, college athletes, as good as they are, arent even on the same planet as her... u cant have someone breaking world records in the college system... (michael norman ur next)

  • @JamisonMichael
    @JamisonMichael 6 лет назад +2

    I think we all knew she was going pro after 1 season. She went to a great university, did everything she was predicted to do (and then some). She raised her value to sponsors..plus theres nothing left track wise to do at the collegiate level thats worth staying for. She might next face of USATF if she keeps this up.

    Im not from USA but once you go pro you basically leave college?
    Or you just don't compete in the NCAA's?
    I still have doubts on her going pro because in her recent interview with Ato Boldon she said she wanted to wait a little bit longer and enjoy a couple more years without attaching to a brand.

Each year a younger athlete will be out there. It's only a matter of time before all these nice comments turn into comments such as " she's getting old or is old and should retire now.
