Two years ago, I went to Xi'an for a week and visited Mount Huashan. After returning to Chengdu, I recommended all my relatives to visit Xi'an.Transportation in China is very convenient and it is easy to get anywhere.
The Terracotta Warriors are truly something special and a big shout out to the people who are working to restore each and every one of them. We loved our time in Xian . The Musilim Quarter was great area to eat in. And Gao's Courtyard give you a window to what it was like in China back in the day. All in all we have wonderful experience there. Sounds like you had a great time there. Harriet and I wish you the Happiest of the New Year 2025. 🍷🍷 Looking forward to lots of great content. Be Safe ! Stay Healthy ! 🙏❤🙏 Luv Ya! Harriet, Jim and Yuki
You guys have no idea how powerful and prosperous China was even if date back to 2000 more years ago. Terracotta warriors are just one of the glimpses.
I see.. but exactly who built it. The manchu the han etc. China consists of many different countries. When they lost they became a colony of the more powerful country. Then finally united all to become as 1 country. For example a 100 year from now all Europe country united as one you don't say Europe built the eiffel tower you would say the French built it.
@@butcherv3332I have seen Chinese historical sites clearly, so there is no need to doubt it.If you are interested, you can read about China's Zheng He Fleet, which was the most powerful fleet of 600 year ago
@@HoangNguyen-rd3wrnope, that’s the interesting part of China. Should what you said happened in China, 100 years later people would say it’s built by Chinese.
In addition to cities, natural scenic spots in China are strongly recommended: Zhangjiajie, Huangshan, Jiuzhaigou and Guilin. ...... In addition, Yunnan Province in China is recommended, where the seasons are like spring, and each season has different scenery, such as Shilin, Dianchi, Cangshan, Erhai, Moon Valley and Yulong Snow Mountain. ......
i'm so glad you got invited to a local family and got to experience it's like to live in xi'an. don't forget to check the the tang paradise at night, the night view and vibe are out of this world.
Awesome episode. The culture is amazing. And to actually go to someone's house and experience hime cooked food, thats something special. Will see you in next weeks episode.
LOL! You joined the square dance, and you nailed it! You and the aunties made such a great team! 🌟 Experiencing local life is truly one of the best parts of traveling-it opens our eyes to the world's amazing diversity. That’s why our tour guides love encouraging travelers to dive into these unique experiences. Whether it’s dancing in the square or visiting local families, it’s all about touching the real China!
We keep going back and forth on whether to visit Xi'an now or when it's warmer, but you're tempting us not to wait! Those dumplings and noodles look so good! 🤗
This year is a warm winter, and Xi'an is not very cold this winter. It is about to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year). As an ancient capital of 13 dynasties, Xi'an is very suitable for celebrating the Lunar New Year
Welcome to Xi'an girl, Xi'an is my hometown. If you have enough time, I recommend you to go to Huashan (scenery), Qianling Mausoleum (the only female emperor's mausoleum in China, including some princes and princesses' tombs), Famen Temple (Buddhist relics and very precious porcelain unearthed, etc.)
and Shuiluan in Lantian (about 30-40 minutes drive southeast of Xian). what a beautiful temple filled with ancient wood carvings, that very few people know about.
Great! Phoebe, you are experiencing the life of ordinary people in Xi 'an. I suggest to my honetome Suzhou which is next to Shanghai. In ancient China, there is a saying that heaven is above and Suzhou and Hangzhou are below. It would be another traditional Chinese cultural experience.
Hi Phoebe. I loved seeing the Terracotta Warriors. It must have been amazing to see them up close. The traditional costumes looked so beautiful too. I hope you had a nice Christmas break. Happy new year.😊
Welcome to China!🇨🇳 In China Mainland, color additives are not allowed in cook-and-serve food, no matter in restaurants or on streetsides. Only processed/ packed food are allowed to use approved color additives (E). Unfortunately 😂, HK SAR still allows color additives in cook-and-serve food 😅😅
Very much appreciate the fact that despite of the language barrier, Phoebe still chose to experience all the cultural / artistic performances that Xi'an offers.
I love your vibe and the energy that you show to us all, you're becoming one of my favorite RUclipsrs, absolute LOVE. I can't highly recommend Dali, Lijiang, kunming and Shangri-La to you. 欢迎来中国各个地方旅游!
Phoebe, Happy New Year!! Great to see you back! Loved how the "Terracotta Warriors" caption came out of your mouth. Was hilarious! 😂😂😂 Enjoy your trip in 🇨🇳 ❤👍
Hi all, I love the beautifulest Phoebe and I just liked, and saved this log for my family and friends to enjoy. Then most importantly, I subscribed!!!❤…
I saw your new video today. Your video 1 day ago.. About Xian. It's very nice. Place. Everywhere in Xian. Even food everywhere.. I like your video... You take care at Xian china.. 👍👍
Thanks for sharing. I was planning going back to Japan this year, but cuz of your videos, I'm now considering China and Philippines (since I'm part-Filipino and Chinese, and have never been).
Happy new year, phoebe.Looking forward to your travelogues in more cities in China. By the way, among the many comments, there is a sentence that is very funny: "Not a single word about India, yet every sentence is about India."🤣
I think my favorite story about the Terracotta Warriors is that an archaeologist discovered a fingerprint on one of the warriors. This fingerprint was left by the craftsman who made the warrior over 2,000 years ago. In this way, two Chinese people, separated by two millennia, formed a unique connection.
Hello and welcome in 2025! I knew nothing about Xi’An, so this episode is full of new things, which I’m excited about. It seems that you did a lot of food tastings, yummy! Again a very luxurious en spacious hotel room, that seat in the corner is fantastic. And that buffet food is great! Feeling secure at new places is very important, because I’ve felt unsafe a few times when traveling alone. Happy you felt safe! The dogs are lovely, I always get happy when the dogs are around. When I’m traveling to Svalbard this summer, for sure I’m going to visit the Husky cafe. That sports lesson outdoors is great, it reminds me of the one time I was planning to visit a temple in Seoul on Hangul day and then when we heard music, we went to where the sound came from and there was a full afternoon of Hangul Day festival experience for each and everyone. Those surprises are the best. Cooking with the locals is the best way to meet culture and food. And what tastes better than home-made food? Thanks for sharing and off to much more travels in 2025. Have an amazing year ahead 🤙

Hopefully you can get used to the loud music from the shop in China, it is indeed annoying, enjoy your trip in China, and try more food that you’ve never seen before. China is the food paradise.
Can I ask how recently you visited? We visited chengdu last year and loved it. We're due to visit Shanghai and Beijing soon. In the UK I keep seeing articles of a v1rus outbreak. I'm hoping it's just scare mongering. Did you see anything about it whilst you were there?

西安,让人难忘的美食,尤其是面食和肉夹馍
As a Cantonese living in Hong Kong, I tried 肉夹馍 ; it tastes very good; cost me 35 rmb.
香港物价还是有点贵。在内陆城市,比如你去兰州,一个满满都是肉馅的肉夹馍就十块钱
@@dai-nv3wk I know, plus 肉夹馍 is not local Hong Kong Chinese food, so it is abit expensive.

Foreign networks are all nonsense, so are there viruses? Just the most common flu every year. You'll know when you get here.
