- The cold war between Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff is finally over.
The two stars, who had a conflict dating back to 2002 when they simultaneously dated Aaron Carter, have been spotted hanging out lately. And their onetime feud, which Duff once called "silly," is all in the past.
"We are both adults and whatever happened, happened when we were young," Duff tells PEOPLE. "It's over."
In fact, the pair have been acting like bona fide BFFs recently. Last week, they were together at Hollywood club Teddy's, where they chatted, danced and, at one point, even kissed each other's hands. Later they dashed to the bathroom for a gossip session when Duff's ex Joel Madden arrived with Nicole Richie.
Lohan also showed up at the release party on Monday for Duff's new album, Dignity.
"She's really fun," says Duff of Lohan. "We were hanging out the other night and she's a nice girl."
This is like Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus feud.

My girls Lindsay and Hilary straight up made diss tracks about each other like Lindsay’s First (who’s that girl and what’s her story doesn’t she know that it’s to late that the party is over and the car’s for me) and Hilary’s haters (you say your boyfriend’s sweet and kind but you still got your eyes on mine). I hated it because I loved both I grew up with all the girls the media pitted against each other Christina and Britney, Hilary and Lindsay, Miley and Selena grew up with all 6 ironically I grew up with the 3 early 00’s 3 late 00’s Disney Queens which makes up 4 from that list only leaving out Raven who was friends with Lindsay and was roommates (don’t know any known beef there) and Demi. Miley was more frenemies with Demi and Selena and the enemy part was due to the love triangle over Nick Jonas. Also Britney and Christina were friends and weren’t fighting over a boy they were just 2 blonde girl pop stars a year apart December 1980 and 1981 respectively.
Back then, i don't know why they dated Aaron Carter...look at him now .
I think Hilary is waaaaay sweeter than Lindsay.. but Lindsay was always the more talented.
They are BOTH really BEAUTIFUL girls, ALTHOUGH I have to say that Lindsay really needs to get her act together and start choosing what's right for her!
Thankfully she did now married a baby boy and BACK in movies so happy of the process she’s made always broke my heart because I loved her since I was 3 when Parent Trap came out. I loved both growing up and were so mad they were fighting and over a boy no less like girls y’all are gorgeous and could get any boy(s) you want. So god they finally ended the feud in 2007

I don't understand why they wont work together. It would be great for music to see the two of them do some projects together in both music and movies. There's too much beef in the entertainment world that never ends.

Ugh I used to think she was so cool... I mean we even have the same name, Lindsay, and its spelled the same way too.. I looked up to her but after Herbie Fully loaded is when she started going down hill fast I think and I just kind of stopped likeing her. I do Like her old stuff but shes a screw up. I wish girls would notice that about Miley Cyrus insted of defending her..

I never said Miley went to jail, I was just implying shes heading down a bad road and her fans need to reconize this and maybe if they all stuck together Miley would notice the thing's shes doing arn't that cool. That's all I was saying. I mean I used to love Lindsay Lohan but theres no way ill stick up for her when shes being stupid. So freaking fake! Lindsay is talented, but she got lost! At one point I was like "Ok, she is growing up, she will learn on her mistakes, have cool new movies..." None of that happened! Hilary on the other hand is a real star. She has a great carrier AND family life. She know how to balance that. I think lots of that has to do with your family and ppl around you. Lindsay's mother is just NOT ok. Sorry, but it's true! Look at her younger sister! So SAD! Being crazy can't bring you success!
