@1049berkely: Thanks for the comment. As a senior, I hope our band really becomes a Colorado powerhouse also. :). Our band directors have actually really looked up to Whaley as a "mentor", to use their words.
I watched one of Pomona's old shows. They were so good! They sounded like Phantom Regiment. We got selected to do a guest apperence at the Western International Band Clinic in Seatle, our mayor declared Nov. 17 as LHS Crimson Regiment Band Day, and Senetor Mark Udall sent us a letter congratulating us on our win. I think we'll be CO's power house band real soon. Also, qazpizza you WILL play tuba for us next year RIGHT??
Hope you guys can build on this- a few more members....Colorado has no power house marching band since Whaley left Pomona. Hope you can get some more people interested in guard....Love your program design
To end this Air Academy/Loveland talk I just wanted to say that I go to Air Academy and you guys defenitely deserved it. As much as I hate to admit seeing you guys beat us, I believe it was a fair fight, and I will go out with this saying - thanks for giving us a fun and competitive season.
Thank you so much, Itachi. (btw, awesome character, lol.). We were pretty happy about beating Air Acdemy also. :) I'm the clarinetist from the solo in the second movement. :)
The challenge for us freshmen is going to have to be... We set the record our freshman year. We're going to have to break it the other 3 years now too. Lol
@tylerammon Hahahaha. Actually, for the first few times, we just marched our dots, and the directors had to yell at us to just get on the stinking/stupid tarps and ignore the tarps. xD
@tylerammon And it's called "I graduated." :) Though know that the LHS band kids wish we would STOP USING TARPS because they feel like they're doing the same show as last year.
