Seems to me we are looking at a man who's hands are tied by the man standing behind him.
Everything he said was factual. It’s why society needs social services and more policing more educated police and people need to prepare for self defence. The police could never predict and appear for a murderer or threat without prior evidence and even then they need probable cause to even question the person. This is a societal problem caused mainly in democratic states due to their racist and bigotry and lies where they create laws to further harm and separate and mistreat black people. They disillusion them to hate society rather than create a welcoming society that provides for their social and recreational needs. I really hope that wasn’t a democrat asking that question… I hope DNC doesn’t mean democratic national committee lol. Look at democratic cities versus republican ones then look at violence. It’s CLEAR, as crime and death in the republican cities that are left are at all time lows. Yet gun rights and ownership are very high… The police can NEVER protect anyone from the average crime. You must be set up to prevent and defend an attack against you. You must provide your own safety. Aside from that, society is the only other place that violence can be stopped in its tracks. Because the death of the violent and non violent both fall on the shitty society that lead them there. Whether the violent person deserves accountability does not matter, society lead them down that path and so they are responsible overall. If you do not prepare to defend yourself then you are still never at fault. No victim is ever at fault. HOWEVER, if you currently choose to not prepare for self defence or watch your own surroundings in areas where things are not managed, then if you could have afforded to protect yourself then you are responsible for the risk you are taking. You still can be the victim but before the crime happens, or before the next crime happens (if it has happened before), if you don’t prepare yourself to defend you and your loved ones then you are being an idiot. You are giving up your own protection and your loved ones protection over laziness or fear. If you vote democrat despite understanding the clear stats, or vote for less police funding, or allow corrupt cops to run free and not funding specific education and oversight for them, then you are part of the problem. Defunding the police is an IDIOTIC idea that makes zero sense. Same people who complain the police never arrived and want to take guns. Well I fully agree police should be held to the highest standard and be overseen and educated and vetted. However, “defunding” the police is the exact reason this shit happens with police not saving people or police being corrupt and violating rights. When you make the police hunt down legally owned guns by law abiding citizens that resource leaves protecting and serving the innocent. Then the crime is high and you complain. Police corruption costs cities way more, because they’ll pay in court and with their lives/freedom. I’m not sure I understood what you fully meant to say, and I’m not arguing with you here (to my knowledge). However I haven’t seen anyone state the straight facts and statistically backed evidence yet. It’s a whole lot of Mumbo Jumbo blaming the police, when Chicago police is one of the best police departments I’ve seen so far. I could be wrong right, I’ll take evidence. But they now have tons of training and oversight. They would need to violate rights to go further, which they used to do. But they can’t stop disillusioned men from having mental health problems due to a shitty unnatural society that treats them like shit. We are slaves to society and minimum wage is down to like 25% of what it was back in the day relative to housing and other costs. Let’s just think about that for a second. And they’re trapped in a society that gives them zero pride and affiliation. The black men are taught all white people are evil and that the system is against them. Why wouldn’t they join a gang with that attitude? The same shit that puts them out as victims is the same shit that is the most systemically racist bullshit ever. Literally making them feel left out of a supportive society with no jobs or education or career to work with. They are taught and told to be disillusioned, just as LGBTQ people are.
Also seems like he wouldn't have the job unless he looked a certain way and cow towed to the administration.

Police are almost always reactive. People of chicago need to rise up and demand the constitutional right to carry and defend themselves.
Being retired I can recall when the dispatcher ran the beat car all over creation and yes we managed to get to everyones back yard although not as quick as the callers wanted. We all did out best and that is all anyone can do. Wanted to make a gun pinch and get off the street for a while and into the station!

Exactly what I was taught when training to become a state police officer in 1979. The police cannot provide every citizen a bodyguard. The school solution was for citizens to get a gun and be prepared to protect themselves.
This came about in report writing class because when you call police a crime has likely already been committed. That means an officer arrives after the fact, writes a report that goes to detectives, who will investigate the crime. That means dead or alive, you are already a victim.
Your choice.

It seems to me that there isn’t the same amount of outrage with black on black crime as there is if a police officer gets involved with the shooting of a perpetrator, who is either resisting arrest or shooting at police it seems like for some reason his life matters more than the 19 that were killed over the Fourth of July weekend and 100 who were shot.
