He gives the camera a cold stare at the part where he sings, "Oh, how I wish I never had caused you sorrow". You can bet he was directing that at Priscilla, especially considering the circumstances from before the concert.
The band is hidden in the dark behind Elvis. You can see them on the 2-Disc Special Edition Aloha shows where all the rehearsals of the after-recorded songs are available.
So interesting watchin this...it was after the aloha show. The TV crew needed him to do some extra songs after the audience had gone...it was around 3.00 in the morning and Elvis wanted to get home. Just thouht I'd throw some info on this for you...Thanks for posting.. 5 stars
Yes,his hair was dyed and he wore a corset to hide his weigh, he was unable to jump around the stage as he did when he was younger. He was brilliant but he was ill in this concert, one of his last.
This is one of the 5 or 6 more songs he recorded after the main show, this right here took place at 4am & if you watch the whole extra on the A.F.H 73 YOU CAN SEE ELVIS IS VERY TIRED AND GETS UPSET CUZ THEY MADE HIM REDO THE SONG LIKE 4 TIMES INCLUDING OTHER'S. They did this 2 add more songs to the Album from the show which i own, & people wonder how they ran him to the ground by doing this. The king goes out live for over an hour on stage & recorded both these shows twice, his hair is the same
very interesting, but where are the band ? did they go home aswel ? did you know there are 2 Aloha concerts ? one was recorded the day before incase anything went wrong, you can see elvis has a slightly different haircut on the pre-recorded show, when he saw it, he insisted on a haircut before recording the live show !
@liamthedream His hair was dyed since 1956, he did not use a corset at this concert, although there are rumours he used it later on when he got fat in 74-77, he had hundreds of concerts ahead of him at this point, if that is even enough, I doubt. The only thing you're right about is that he's somewhat ill; Elvis' problems had surely arisen at this time with the glaucoma/insomnia and all the other problems he had. Although they were not as serious as they would become he's still affected by them.
I guess he was tired. Did you know that he had financial problems at that time also. Hard to believe but if their managers don't do the job right...that's what happens.

@liamthedream One of his last concerts? This was about 4 1/2years before Elvis' death. He still had quite a few concerts ahead of him at this point.
