Don’t be a keyboard warrior. I have the guts to express my views on my channel. If you feel the urge to oppose then make a counter video and tag me. Hiding behind your computer using a pseudonym is very weak!
All due respect, if you are expressing your opinion on your channel and if you have enabled comments, it is only normal that you shall get some feedback. Unless they are uncivil, it is very unfair to blame others for being keyboard warriors.
I am talking about the rude comments and besides it’s like saying someone was raped because they dressed inappropriately!! Just because I post my views doesn’t give people the right to be nasty.

How much do you know about Lauren Southern? I can not see that she is "cancelled"? To me she seems to make some content that is plausible journalism but mostly she seems to be a grifter that cares more about attracting very conservative people to make money out of them. Have you watched her videos where she spews hate over trans people or those that advocates every man owning a automatic handgun? Also she sells worthless "golden plated silver" to old people that does not understand what they buy. Do you know who Mat Walsh and Tim Pool is? They are far right grifters that has no morals and she likes to show up on their channels.

I don’t know much as I haven’t seen her videos for a few years now but the point is that everyone should be allowed to speak their mind no matter what. That’s why we have a speaker’s corner in Hyde Park.
@@EthanFromLondon That Hyde Park thing is I think one of the fallacies of free speech in England. I wonder if any Sinn Fein politician were allowed to talk there during the Troubles? How long would it take before a cap took him/her down? Even today? I have seen Hyde Park thing with my eyes there. Only some loser demagogs speak there.
This is a very ludicrous characterization of Lauren Southern. ex. criticizing extreme gender ideology being forced on everyone is not 'spewing hate about trans people'. She may not be 'cancelled' but she has been banned from the UK, and has been given a hard time from US and AUS governments and is constantly lied about. Why? Because she pokes her nose in what they don't want exposed and talked about.

I fully agree that everyone should be allowed to speak their minds, but also if you do you should be prepared for criticism.

@@puertola7186 If you are talking about me, indeed it is the case. They are not deleted per se, but only visible by me. I think channel owners' views have been embraced by some right-wingers and being what they are, probably they spammed me.
Licenses don't always mean much. How many people are bad at driving yet still have a drivers license?
Clinical psychologists are awful in my experience, same with social workers and psychologists. Some of these people are totally insensitive, lacking in common sense and abuse systems.
Just because you are educated does not mean you are smart.

At the time I watched your video it had 1.7k views and 177 likes. What turns people off is hyperbole and I think that is why your video hasn’t been receptive. I agree that cancel culture is wrong. To me CC reminds me more of blacklisting. Comparing everything to Nazi’s dilutes the tragedies carried out by Hitler and his followers. Bill Maher has an excellent comparison to cancel culture. It’s a video on RUclips titled New Rule: A Woke Revolution. It was posted on February 4, 23. Give it a watch and am curious to hear your opinion of the video.

As a German I completly disagree with you unfortunately. Cancel culture can be criticised but comparing it with atrocious crimes the nazis did to minorities is just vain. You can still say anything. You just have to deal with the consequences of your actions. You dont get shot if you hate on immigrants for example. And btw: the nazi party was hardcore right wing from the beginning.

What is the issue? Being "woke" means that you don't discriminate against minorities and care about others feelings. The women Ethan mentioned actively sabotaged an NGO that helps refugees which are drowning in the Mediterranean sea. I can understand why GB didn't let her enter the country. @@samsabruskongen

Magnificent way of explaining today's society. I loved it, and I agree with everything.
Our current method of requiring zero prerequisites, with regards to qualifications to run or be appointed to office, is akin to having someone walk into a large multinational corporation, with qualifications to work in the stock room, but demanding to be made CEO. Defense Ministers should be generals, Health Ministers should be doctors, and Finance Ministers should be accountants, with experience in handling billions dollar accounts. So simple, and proven most effective for successful outcomes; that it's the formula we apply to pretty much everything else.
Policymakers, defining the education and qualifications for the next generation of policymakers. As a "qualified" engineer I must inform you that this is consists a feedback loop, amplifying errors in the process. It may start out OK, but it will gradually degenerate to much worse than we have today. Democracy might not be perfect, but it is hard to come up with something better. Interesting to hear different takes, but are you sure you are not taking some of the positives we have for granted? Not that I too don't feel angry and helpless with wrong decisions, people not even recognising their own best interest and being swayed by obviously (to me) slimy individuals.

@@EthanFromLondon A scenario: Lets assume academic achievments as prerequisites. These slimy people will corrode universities so they can get the "paper they need". Now lets assume you require professional experience. Do you think the paper holder surgeons will hesitate to operate on a few poor saps to get along with their ambition etc.? Now corruption is leaking everywhere. It might sound cynical, but I prefer to keep it contained in politics. Maybe a degree of corruption is inevitable? Do you have a comprehensive plan to implement meritocracy?

Lauren Southern praising Meloni for stopping African refugees seems to forget that it was the Italians together with the French and the Brits who started the war in Libya, making the refugee problem of Africa worse after even today ongoing colonialism ("french franc"?).

You can keep blaming for the last several centuries of what happened to people. What is here and now that matters! This is where we can make the change. Middle East is the richest place on the planet but doesn’t do anything to help its own people. You can’t blame colonialism forever! Some countries don’t change and improve and will never do.

Actually, even those Italian populists blamed France for immigration to Europe causing a diplo row. Italy was heavily against the latest Libya war; Berlusconi, the Italian Prime Minister at the time, said multiple times that they didn't want to join the war against Libya. Italy was "forced" to join the war, and then Berlusconi was ousted from power with a "coup" led by the UK, Germany and France. Oh yes, this is not a fable and has also been confirmed by Obama officials, someone who was literally on the opposite side of Berlusconi.
What is better than Democracy then? From what you are saying it seems like you would prefer a society with a all ruling King/Despot/Dictator that selects his state officials based on their merits? Is this conclusion completely wrong? If so please tell me. If not i would enjoy a future video where you go deeper on the subject.
I have made several videos on this subject. Politicians should be chosen after they have been issued a licence to practice just like driving a car or performing a surgery.

@@EthanFromLondon You are right about that. There is no conclusion at all in this video besides you saying you don't like democracy. You talk about "cancel culture" and compare canceled netflix shows with nazism. You have any personal experience of being "canceled"?
I can partially agree and partially disagree. There is still quite a big difference now compared to the 30s. I will take this step by step. You can absolutely lose your job if you say something the boss doesn't agree with, but the boss doesn't have to be politically correct. Everything is not allowed to say despite freedom of expression, freedom under responsibility. Socialists in Germany were infiltrated by Hitler. Hitler had the answers. He said that the Jews had deceived Germany and caused them the crisis they were in. To completely dismiss Woke is to allow extreme right-wing views, which makes it perfectly legitimate to sort out all Woke culture in the form of books etc. The problem with this reasoning is just as if you meet one person, everyone else is the same. There can certainly be a frustration in not being accepted by society. I am an unemployed academic, have a disability and our Prime Minister thinks I deserve to live disproportionately poor in comparison, even though I am well educated and have worked. But Ulf Kristersson is not a socialist and woke, he dislikes socialists even if he approves of their ideas. He likes to problematize society but rarely comes up with solutions that work. There is no "party", the problem in society is people with too much power and that's where the importance of traditional unions comes in. Trade unions defend people in need and nothing else. It is not possible to lump all socialists and feminists together and then compare these individuals to Hitler. Of course we must be observant. But it can easily be wrong if you compare apples with pears. Can easily become as stupid as believing every single conspiracy theory. You happen to be in democratic socialist Sweden. Home of the biggest socialists in modern history. I hope you like it. Parties are driven by ideas and lose confidence if they change their policies too often. How will the world be a better place if we ban movements and views that don't match yours? There is a lot of contempt for politicians and not only towards socialists. There are many workers who have become politicians. There are also academics who have become politicians. If you have political views that solve all problems, you can start a party yourself. There are many unsuitable politicians eg Ebba. Many hire craftsmen recommended by others and so is politics. They might have a diploma. Politicians can be wrong like anyone else. Some are ignorant but elected by the people. There is not much to altetnativ. Will not get better if workers are not allowed to study higher education and some elite will take over. I hear you keep seeing everything through a lens. I would not have our king to rule Sweden. He is better at the job he has now, to be seen. I can agree that there are unsuitable politicians in the government, but they are chosen by Ulf Kristersson. 😂

Spot on Ethan. Cancel is 100% all over here in Sweden, even with price of life if you follow the news last years. At the same time WOKE and being political correct rules here. The corridor is extremly narrow tight here. It is quite odd this could happen in "innocent Sweden"....but here we are. Great content as always Ethan. Ther test is normalized so that the average is 100. By design, a small minority would have above 125. Thankfully you weren't cynical because that would have backfired.

I completely agree with you. It's a huge problem when they deploy such tools without the slightest idea of where it will eventually lead our society. It's even scarier to realize this when rockets and drones fly overhead, and you're not allowed to leave the country just because you're a man. Greetings from Ukraine. You've raised an important issue. Reality shows that there are neither right nor wrong sides. Everyone has 10 masks in their drawer saved for all life's occasions. If you think about it, this chaos happens only because people have stopped taking responsibility; they simply change masks while riding the waves of this chaos.
Ukrainian here too. Spot on "you're not allowed to leave the country just because you're a man"- we are slowly becoming North Korea. I don't think "Greeners" party from the Verchovna Rada, or even Zelensky himself have any chance to be in power after next elections(thats why they avoid elections like a fire).

That’s because in general, “intellectuals” have no skin in the game. When their ideas lose out in the real world, no one presents them a bill for their lunacy. Instead, they get promoted, advanced and otherwise advocated for… 😅
