We have both a pitbull and a baby in the house and our pit would never hurt that kid. He licks him and wags his tail all the time. When the baby makes loud noises, our dog jumps around and tries to play. Not all pitbulls are weapons. They can be trained, and not all of them have an identical personality

Pit are good not bullies
@@luvsiix_I used to think this way too. I hope and pray you do not ever have the kind of tragic experience that changed my mind, change yours, but I hope you take this as a serious warning from one animal lover to another. These breeds of dogs are dangerous. You can be experienced, raise them with love and boundaries etc… and still one day they can just snap completely unprovoked and kill. Please be cautious. Never ever completely trust these dogs. I used to be an advocate and I believed the myth that “it’s not the breed it’s the human.” That is not true. These dogs do not belong around people. I love tigers but they don’t belong around people, same for these dogs.
@@countchocula5379That would be the same for every other "aggressive" breed of dog. Pitbulls rank as one of the absolute most patient dog breeds surprisingly enough. Dogs like German Shepherds are actually more likely to randomly harm someone unprovoked unlike how people commonly view pitbulls. I'm extremely sorry for the tragic event that you experienced, but there are a lot of different variables that go into this. With this logic, humans should be avoiding larger dogs altogether. Even little dogs such as Chihuahuas have a constant urge to ruin someone's day.
But besides all of that, I really do appreciate your genuine concern and I will keep in mind that dogs can in fact randomly turn on people. Our family already has several safety precautions when it comes to having children anywhere near the dogs. I don't care what breed you own, you should never not be supervising an interaction between a kid and a dog. No animal should be trusted by a person, especially with their own child at stake.

"Great around children." Yeah, your children. But that neighbor kid who's come to get their ball will be missing their face pretty soon.
How is he coming to your yard to collect a ball?
So we should stop breeding dogs bigger than a chihuahua? That can happen with so many breeds. It's all about the owner.
@@ddorkk4777that’s exactly right, a 93 year old was recently killed by the neighbors two dogs, it took 80 seconds. How is that a pet? That’s unacceptable to breed and acquire them and call them pets. A bunny is a pet. Dogs are weapons with a mind of their own and shouldn’t be living among ppl.
@@notyourtypicalcomment2399 You CAN'T be serious, this is some level of delusion.
dogs have been around humanity since the dawn of human culture , we've used them for so many tasks it's beyond count, they helped civilization grow in multiple ways.
Weapons? some are bred to be weapons, most not, but all are controllable in the right hands. No dog is just a "weapon" they're living creatures with wants and desires far outside of mere violence.
A random non socialized poorly trained dog is not representative of the whole species. Everytime iv'e looked into these cases it's at BEST ambiguous how the dog was raised and typically, it's really obvious it was poorly socialized and trained.
And fyi as an owner of both a dog AND rabbits i can confidently say rabbits are WAY worse pets, very destructive and messy by nature, far grumpier as well.

Our mailman (sweetest older lady ever) got mauled down by one and killed recently and she was precious and I know she never hurt the dog or have reason. It’s all on videotape to prove this point.

I’ve had 3 bullies for almost ten years. The training you put in will be the reward out of it
Get a bully because they are one of the best type of dogs out there. They sleep, cuddle, beg, they are grateful and loyal. Plus the shelter is full of them. But just with every dog you own train them, take care of them.
Oh I'm sure they love children. The flavor in particular they love very much!
I think that MOST Pitts will PROTECT the kids in a family vs harming them.
@@juliegogola4647just need one 1 pit bull raised badly out of 100 and it will be a recipe for disaster, you know what? You need license.
@@CantStandIt21 MOST Pitts are NOT going to harm people. But, SOME have and will. My own pitt mix will bite strangers. She nips, not mauls, BUT, that is bad enough.
Many other breeds get nasty too. My vet says that Rotties can be worse than Pitts when it comes to biting down and not letting go. Most Pitts that I personally have ever known have been nice dogs with people. But, some (not all) can be a bit dog aggressive. German Shepherds can be aggressive with people and other dogs.
And, I would imagine that the Pitt that attacked the poor 1 year old kid had been previously abused or teased.
When I think about adopting a Pitty mix or a Bully dog, I feel a bit scared of getting that ticking time bomb,
And, we all can't afford to spend thousands of $$$$$$ to buy a puppy of some breeds. Right now, I couldn't get another dog if I wanted, our Pitty mix girl will not get along with anybody else but our current Husky mix boy. BTW, so I should type that all in here on RUclips? I definitely believe you,, I've seen vids of Pitty dogs attacking people. One was a poor female cop trying to serve a warrant to a house, and the woman inside had her 2 Pitts attack the cop. They really messed her hands up, both Pitts bit into the Lady cops hands, and just made their heads go side to side like they had a chew toy. That poor Lady cops is sure to have some REALLY bad arthritis when she gets older. She SURELY needed a hand specialist to try and undo the damage those dogs did. But, in that case, the dogs were doing as trained by a nasty owner.
@@CantStandIt21 tell that to the hundreds if not thousands of pit owners where nothing like that ever happened...i think i remember the story your talking about.

That's because you have to TRAIN the instinct that is bred into them OUT of them. They are bred to latch on to the throat of their "prey" (which too often ends up being small children or elderly ladies walking their poodle) & not let go until they stop moving & breathing
@Mason-626 no... its the humans... the xl was bred to be a family companion, the xl was never bred to fight but bad breeders have ruined the breed🤦♂️ a pitbull would end a xl, they're not the same

Famous last words: Oooo a puppy!
Don't get an XL bully. I'm a dog trainer and I've seen thousands of XL bullies in my area and 99% of their owners don't know the difference in Pit Bull breeds and can't even control/handle their own dog.
That doesn't mean people shouldn't get them. That means people should actually care enough to look into the breed differences and the breeder background. You should also look at the parents before getting the pup as well. They need to prioritize dog socializing and people socializing. Along with how t keep the focus on the one who's walking itt
@S1q2w3e4r5t XXL bullies also have a ton of health problems from being selectively bred to grow to giant sizes in such a short time span, without much regard to their bone density and organ health. Their brains usually grow too large and crack through their skulls, and their hearts can fail due to growing too large for their body. Their lungs are also known to rupture from growing too large for the rib cage. The large muscle density is often a struggle for the dog to function properly and they can develop cancers more easily. They often have overactive thyroid disease from being poorly bred and selectively bred for size instead of health, as the thyroid contributes to the testostorone and physical development of the dog. Its usually left untreated because their owners are usually low income/criminals/bad breeders and don't care about much besides appearance and status. However if that's something you can absolutely care for and have the funds to back up the health problems and behavioral issues, by all means find a good breeder and get one.
God, that's exactly like doodles in my area 😂
(But also, imo, there's thousands and thousands of pit/bully mixes out there who need good homes, you don't need to pay for a designer bred one. All too often it's the people who'll pay through the nose for the "designer" part, without any regards to what kind of care the "dog" part is going to need.)
Ya this guy makes videos and I’ve realized he throw a whole lot of nonsense and claims them as facts. But if you watch a lot of his videos you will realize it’s all ego as he has very minimal experience with a vast variety of breeds. So he only has a few select breeds he speaks on. I’m actually surprised he did not try to say get an xl bullypoo 😅 he sells doodles off as if he’s had tons of experience he knows everything about all the breeds out there and apparently mixing two is better then just owning the one that fits your lifestyle better😂 I’m all for purpose bred mixes but the way he throws out all this “knowledge” as “facts” is ridiculous. Nah we don’t want that pussy sh*t. Let someone break into my house !!!
Oh yeah.
1. Get a fighting breed dog-aggressive dog
2. Socialize it with other dogs
3. Practice saying "He's never done this before!!!!"
American Bully's aren't "pitbulls"🤦 they're extremely easy to socialize with other dogs/animal's.. I've had American Pitbulls, American Staffordshire terriers and American Bully's.. Bully's and Staffys are just big goofballs for the most part lol. It's what they were bred for ! American Pitbulls on the other hand, were created and bred specifically for fighting and extreme dog aggression & allot of times, that will just naturally come out at some point. Regardless of "how it's raised" or anything else... My bully's would NEVER "start" a fight with another dog.. my male would even run away & come to me if another dog got aggressive with him. He didn't want to fight anything, just wanted to play & make friends. My female was the same basically but, she had no problems defending herself. Dogs also don't "have to be" socialized... They're part of YOUR family & other people & other dogs, aren't ! If you have a dog who's aggressive towards others, easy solution is keep it under control & don't let it get near other dogs ! Dumb humans are the problem, not the dogs !

You contradict yourself on this topic. You say it's a great family dog, but then you say it can kill your kids. So what's up???
Both things can be true since breeding, temperament, and training are huge parts in any attack.
It all depends on the owner. Whether or not they train them properly
@@Michaelgamingz1234 Wrong, genetics play a massive part.
Genetics AND training are important. I had a Pitbull exotic trained not to be aggressive and from such a nice peaceful pedigree. Most perfect 👌 🐶 dog 🐶 ever! Perfect in conformation AND very pleasant character.Too bad for Health issues all along but almost made it to 12 yrs old. Everywhere she was going she became a star 🌟 with her seducing Power!
@@VARY78 one of my relatives had adopted a bully puppy. The parents were horrible, trained for dog fighting. My relative raised it out of that puppy. That pup grew up to be the sweetest thing without a mean bone in her body. I believe that, yes, genetics do play a part but it all boils down to how much love, care, and socialization the dog gets.
Let me start of by saying I love your channel and watch your shorts often however, you are wrong here. A bully is nothing like a pitbull, the only similarity is the looks. A pitbull is not good with other dogs, they are not bred to be good with other dogs, they are bred to kill and fight other dogs. Fantastic with humans but not other dogs, a pitbull has a 100 times more energy and is a 100 times better fighter. A pitbull will absolutely demolish a bully despite its size. This is a huge misconception about bullys are just bigger pitbulls. Bully is a mean looking goofball (i love bullys) but a pitbull is a straight cold killer that loves humans but does not get along with other dogs. And please to people who are thinking, “well I own a pitbull and he is great with other dogs dadada” no you do not have a pure bred pitbull then. There are almost no pure bred pitbulls left.
Nice look on that one with its ears fully intact.

Its not a great choice for new dog owners who have kids. You have to really pay attention to them and get on the training asap because if not well things can go bad. Even i have issues at times had pits for years great dogs but also a big responsibility/ liability depending on the owner.
XL bully’s are just giant lapdogs. They have no pitbull temperament in them at all. That’s why they’re great pets, it’s literally what they were bred for
@@HkFinn83
And the people they have recently killed, do you think they will be nodding in agreement in their long departed place?
I'm sorry to say this, but your claim is the same low IQ claim put out by most dangerous dog owners. In that respect there is an element of truth in the assertion that it's the owners fault, most owners of these dogs have a tendency towards low social adjustment and esteem. Marry that to an already difficult dog and you have a recipe for tragedy.
@@HkFinn83it's still not a good idea for kids, they like to play rough just like other big breeds, was playing with mine when I was 10, he jumped on me and I fell head first lol, we kept playing anyways, love that guy
Met a youngster yesterday. He was a sweet boy, very friendly.
The final boss for children and cats
Literally the most friendly to children and other animals, might be getting sensitive but kinds pissed me if they get so bad rep
@@NotFanti because statistically they are the most dangerous dog breed by far
@@idontlikecommunists9677 most hated- they are also statistically the most abused dog breed and since 2015 only around 537 ppl died to dogs, 60% were ALL pit breeds combined
@@NotFanti "only" also thank you for making my argument for me since that means shitbulls killed 322 out of 537 and therefore are statistically the most dangerous breed.

my nephews who are scared of dogs fell inlove with mine and its because of her temperament and intelligence but then again we raised her right
I’ve been sold on XL bullys since I saw hulk they’re gorgeous
Also, coming up! Top three reasons you might wanna get a huge ass gun...
Right? If this dog lived near me & was EVER out of his yard, I would carry in the HOPES of getting the opportunity to save the neighborhood children

I think big dogs are loving in general, cuz those small dogs definitely crawled out of hell
You made me be scared of all bullies 😢
This guy really just said they’re good around kids 😂
And soon after getting the dog your insurance company drops you
best believe neighbors not asking to borrow my lawnmower no more💯
“Her name is cupcake she doesn’t bite “
My friend has one it’s only about 9-10 months but ripped and barks at me so much
This aged like milk.
Why don’t we let idiots have lions and tigers on a lead while we are at it.
Pitlocks are my favorite dog, they are so loyal, protective azz, awesome with kids and smart intelligent animals in general
Stunning gorgeous dog ❤😍
I swear bros the type to say " The dog don't bite " next thing the dog finna be showing you it's teeth
A dog could be showing teeth for a number of reasons... BUT, the important thing to remember is, the dogs at least giving WARNING ! I'd much rather a dog snarl & show teeth at me than a dog that just sits quietly until I'm close enough & then try to eat me ..
What does finna mean? I can't find the term anywhere

I met one of these they are adorable and are VERY good with children
Always awesome ❤
Now I'm confused. This is now a great family pet, but on the other video, you said this is not a good family dog. 🤔 and it can kill pretty much anyone. This is not helpful for ppl interested in getting a dog and trying to find info about the breed. 🙄😮💨
Exactly
My pit bull is the sweetest baby! Plays too much ! Very friendly with everyone! But i have to say that he is so strong and powerful!!!! I’m still working on that leash pulling.
It has the physical capability to kill someone the same way any large dog can. Doesn’t mean they will nor does it make them bad family pets but it is something to acknowledge if that makes sense
I'm wondering why this video is still online?
No go.
1 dog hairs. 2 dog hairs. 3 dog hairs. 4 thr drooling.
These are my dream dogs
your dream is to kill children? lmao
I have a standard/pocket mix. Black tri chocolate Merle. 11 months 85 pounds
A huge one of these attacked 3 people last week. It took 7 bullets to stop it
Yeah so??
@@Coffee_Caffeine It's self explanatory isn't it? I'll spell it out for you. Any specific dog breed that's the worst offender in killing and maiming children, has NO place in society
You..... you do release that by that logic you'd ban all dogs right? because if you ban the highest offender then the second highest offender becomes the highest offender, so then THAT'D have to be banned and then the thrids highest would be the highest ect. it's a slippery slope. @@kb4432

gotta love the kid eater XL
You just made a top 3 reasons you should NOT get an XL bully. Pick a lane.
Its for educational purposes rtard
@@jorgecarreon5529 damn bro it ain't that deep
Pick a lane? I've worked with dogs since 1989 all breeds have reasons why and reasons not why to get them. It all depends on what the person needs or what they can handle.
Just got mine 💙💯😁👍 blue nose American Bully
Vicious beast
I have a standard size bully. Solid chunk of muscle. Silly, playful but when inside all she wants to do is nap or being padded
Unreal dogs, so lazy unless you’re out for a walk or at the park. They play hard for 45 mins and their done for the day 😂
