Imho it's a hard sell when you can get a calibrated plate from hansu for the same price

You can, but Hansu aren’t made in the USA. Weight It Out’s plates are very close in terms of tolerance to a calibrated plate. So I think it comes down to aesthetic preference and how much a consumer cares about made in USA products.

I was going to get them but they don't have matching sets. Out of 45s and if you buy cast iron the smaller plates are all gold steel. I went with Rogue USA Olympic which are nearly as thin only drawback no handles but I just put them at right level and can easily grab 2 of them for fast loading. I have heard they don't fit bar snugly too which is another reason I had to pass. It's a real shame he's so close to having best plates! @@vintageweightspgh
