Such a dope Blacksmithery! Love the fresh forged books and scrolls.
Can't wait to see the Wizards Lab!
Isnt it just. I can't wait either. I think whats shown more than anything is, with imagination you can do practically anything!
“We are after spectacle through blunt forced trauma, not taste and technique!” Love that intro 😂
And yes, I absolutely know Bugenhagen and that scene. Still amazing and the music is still engrained in memory…. greatest game of all time without any doubt
There are far too many trolls on YT as it is Neil... stick to crafting and video making. Your comment, though perfectly free to make was trollish.
Allow me to exercise my free speech... and think it's petty or whatever you like Neil.

@@MarkLewis... lolwut.
Uhhhhhh, wut?
@@RealTerrainHobbies I guess it's you who's missing the humor.
@@nekrataali See what I mean... there's enough trolls on YT.
"You chose a blacksmith... so here's a wizard's lab!" What a great intro lol!
That random bit of plastic with 50 circular holes in it looks to be the packaging for a 50 round box of small caliber handgun bullets. Those things are in basically every box of ammo so if you know anyone who goes to the range, you can probably ask them if they have some. They come in an array of different sizes, just like the bullets they're used to hold. (the only purpose they serve is to keep them from rattling around freely in a chaotic mess in the box, they serve no practical purpose to the end user).
It's from a 22 long rifle round box.
James is correct, that is the insert in a CCI 22LR ammunition box. There should be piles of them in the trash at any public shooting range in the US, and they may even be available in more restrictive countries, because 22 rimfire is used for Olympic target shooting.
Those of us who knew recognized those .22 inserts immediately!
My first thought was "plastic insert for 1000uL micropipette tips!"
Lol yeah. I did a little "huhWha?" At the thought that someone might not know what that was.
I just noticed that this guy is left-handed, and I have been watching obsessively for months.
Lulz. So is my wife. And my daughter!
6:12 I have like 70. I immediately started stockpiling these after coming back to church.
Haven't found a good use for them yet, but I will. - Crafter's (hoarder) Motto
2:05 the funny thing is Fast Corona Test Kits I can get at the library have those kind of trays with all the holes in them hahah
You are always so down to earth, even when you create something fabulous like this. Love seeing the different arrangements at the end.
Hey Wyloch! that funky plastic part full of holes is from a box of .22 cal shells! I have one in my junk box too I just have not found a use for mine yet. Good job!
I love the Crafting, but my favorite content is Wyloch going all audiobook on us. Perfect voice for it.
That orrery is fantastic! Large ones always make me think of the one in The Dark Crystal, as it was the first one I saw - and that one looks big enough for characters to do gymnastics on. (Wouldn't recommend it though, as with such large moving parts they're liable to lose some extremities to it.)
There is also the huge one in the first live action Tomb Raider movie.
Bugenhagen's town is one of my favorites. This does remind me of his telescope room.
This straight looks like something out of a planescape video game from the 90s
Thank you kindly. Precisely my influence.
That is a cool looking orary
I voted for Wizard Lab! I’m so pleased you went this direction 😂
This all turned out so well!
You described my exact method for making a wine rack with granny grating!!
New Wyloch video?? Damn boys we eatin good tonight 😲
Been thinking of making some appropriately wizardy/lich-related stuff for a themed display stand for my videos so I'll definitely be keeping this in my back pocket. Thanks yet again for the inspiration 😎👍
So many cool scatter ideas, I love the themed builds it turned out great.
Fave overall was definitely the Orrery, while the knickknacks of jars, bottles, etc scavenged from electrical devices is my all time fave hack from u
I love watching random things become a tabletop scenery.
I must admit, when I saw the Orrery, my first thought was Cosmo Canyon.
Love the work and effort you put into your projects.
My favorite build from this video was the one that made me want to engage in RUclips's algorithm to boost your signal, keep up the great work Wyloch!
Excellent work once again. It all looks fabulous but that Orrery is next level. Cheers!
My favorite part? 100% your storytelling! The minis are amazing and I came to learn how to make them and left with a great new storyline to add to my DnD campaign! Thank you! I'll use it all! Oh and I'm definitely making all this stuff too!!!!
I would love to see a forest/plains tutorial. With trees, dirt roads, rivers and hills.
With these tips with some simple changes, you can make them look like any time period or things like a pool table, couch, armchair, or tv stand.
Love watching your work, so therapeutic 🧘♂️
You had me at 'A kitchen sink kind of day'. Love this stuff!
I've had an itch to make an orrery and/or armillary sphere for years (yeah, FF7 too, that and Warcraft 3) despite the fact that i have no real use for it (all my playing is in sci-fi land, and not even RPGs, just wargaming), so taking notes to see if i finally decide to do it :D
Any body wanting those plastic random square with the round holes.... it's what 22 caliber long rifle bullets come in. If you don't like guns go get the ammo and send it to me and you can keep the plastic bits lol
So much fun! I'm buidling stuff now for an RPG I'm going to run. It's been many years since I've done anything like this. Your videos are really helping me out.
I love the tour here! and the story at the end! wow! love it! more?
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Possibly these vids are the best on the net. I found that some of the materials used can be substituted for foam if they are difficult to find. I can watch Wyloch's vids for hours getting inspiration.
Fun piece. Always usable, can't have a wizard's lair without one.
‘If any’. Perfect!
I love the orrery, I am doing a 1:18th scale diorama and my wizard has his alchemy lab, an armillary sphere, a telescope, various bones and a scroll rack or two, a medieval desk with a scroll rack integrated, and the quills and wax etc., I have lots of anatomical pictures and maps and charts and alchemical symbols tables, and I really think an orrery would top his "chapel" observatory off perfectly! (Theres a spooky alter downstairs in the main chapel and I even have a pet snake for him and a dragon which will eventually live on and in the chapel rafters. The Fantasy part is great because with magic, you can explain away any historical mistakes. I love the little jugs you made, I only wish they were a wee bit bigger. I do have those beads you showed because, with the addition of quilled paper, they do make lovely urns and amphora.
Love the Blacksmith shop, it is very.... different. Loved the bit where you fumbled almost all your baubles.
The lore bits at the end are a lot of fun. Ever thought about a lore centered video?
I've done several. Check out my full Mind Flayer Lair video, for example.
That orrery is CLASS! Also got some potion bottle envy XD
🏆 beauty!
I respect the time put in to achieve these creations
Thank you Good Sir 🎩
Hard to say what I like best. I do enjoy how everything looks so good put together. Thanks for the video
I can't get enough of this cozy colorful stuff I tells ya.
Orrery's just bring magic and technology together in a beautiful piece of art. Great work my dude!
I love this room it grabs my imagination
I liked the blacksmiths forge.
Yay,more tiny stuff ! I love this series👍
Awesome! I'm making an Orrery next. Great video Wyloch!
Ah, the Phylactery Forge of Extraplanar souls. The Smithy of the Wrought Wretched Magicks.
Your videos are why I got back into rpg building. Can't state this enough, you rock!
Kind of reminds me of the Dark Crystal
I really enjoy this. I’m going to use a lot of this in my build. Thank you for sharing.
I'm loving this room terrain builds.
Liked the scroll shelf best. I have a pile of those mystery containers of various sizes in my "fire safe" with little brass "bells".
I appreciate you as a person. Thank you for creating content for us.
My dream is to get to this level of mastery. You are awesome!!!
The scroll case shelf looks really cool! I will have to try that one out.
Looks awesome !!!
That orrery is impressive. Well done.
Awesome build
Awesome build - great ideas I will put to use. Thank you!
When it comes to fantasy orrery designs my go to has always been Aughrah's orrery from The Dark Crystal.
With an honourable mention to the one from the first live action Tomb Raider movie.
Polls be damned I loved this. One of these days I'll start slamming fruit juice for those lids.
the Orrery is great and now I want to make one
I like the orrery because it reminds me of The Dark Crystal. The shelves of potions and scrolls are great too. Besides a wizards study they could very well be a magic shop or apothecary.
I also like to see how you are experimenting with different colors and techniques. And I like how well your dungeon tiles and tavern tiles can be used together.
Me watching Wyloch build the ring of his orery: "Wouldn't foamboard work better for the middle ring? Just cut it in half and trim enough for the axel..."
And if you are looking for an idea for the Forge everyone voted on, here's some ideas:
Soul Forge
Divine/Infernal forge
Flesh Forge (Alchemist, necromancer, Nurgle or Tyranid)
Spell Forge
Ork Forge (40k)
Psi-Forge (Illithids or Eldar)
Great video! I made a few pieces of wizard lab terrain a couple years ago. I will have to dig it out and improve on it
Amazing beautiful work!
That orrery was a really cool build! It reminded me most of the one from The Dark Crystal, and I might have to make a wizard's laboratory a part of my next campaign just so I have an excuse to craft one of these!
One would think that people would know by now that polls mean nothing. lol The wizard's lab is excellent. The orrery was an awesome idea and yours looks amazing. FFVII brought a new level of expectation to how good environments would look in video games, even if it wasn't my fav JRPG. Keep up the great work, and I hope the real world job is going well. God bless!
That bit about tye crystal moon made me think of the theme song from The Labyrinth.
Such wonderful consistency. Great work as always!
I think about Bugenhagen almost daily.
Nice, Wizard's laboratory. I voted for that one.
All of it was my favorite!!!!!
Awesome, from start to finish. 😎
My Moments of Orrery Zen will always be meeting the baelnorn in the Severed Hand in Icewind Dale, and the massive orrery complex in Ultima VII :)
You could use some straws for the scroll rack.
Thank you, I'm now swamped with work and itching to build an orrery 😂
Very cool builds!
Amazing! A master crafter at work!
Cool build! Looks awesome!
Very nice (especially the orrery). I've been trying to figure out how to do one of those myself... but spheres are a bit tricky with my weird way of doing things 😅
Curves are fun!
I feed the algorithm in the name of Wyloch!
Thanks for the video! Why is the guy with fire in both hands so close to the scroll rack?!?! 😉
Your recent Baldur’s Gate videos mean that this orrery reminds me a bit of Icewind Dale. Astrolabe.. whirls… twirls….
Some .22 ammunition comes in plastic holders that would make a good basis for a scroll rack.
Those gears ⚙ gold 📝
My audio expert husband (proprietor of Stereo Discount Center in RI) says if the Denon worked you could probably get $100 because it plays SACDs.
Also this s*** is hardcore. It warms my miniature living heart.
Yeah maybe for the right buyer. Not many of us in the US using SACD though unfortunately
@@WylochsArmory yeah, it's no big loss to you if you get plenty of use out of the parts. My husband wasn't exactly tearing his hair out on your behalf. :) He had a long time customer that *loooooved* SACD. He bought so many over the years. But he was a kind of marginal person with mental illness. He was my husband's best customer and biggest annoyance because he called all the time. He would get anxious if he ordered an SACD and it took awhile to come in because it was coming fr Germany or something. My hs husband had a lot of affection for him and they had a monthly breakfast date when the guy got his monthly check. Sadly, he passed away several months ago.
Amazing as always.
Can I recommend doing a tools of the trade video? You mention many different bits and materials and a comprehensive list would be great.
Have you seen the end of this one? ruclips.net/video/95WwX3PYDqI/видео.html
@@WylochsArmory No, but I definitely will!
Those plastic pieces that you used for the scroll rack look like the inserts from a box of 22 cal ammo. If they are, awesome, if they aren't, I still believe the ammo box inserts could work as the same thing.
me: "Ugh, that looks complic... oh, It's Wyloch? Gotta see this."
Ho! Ho! Hooo! Awesome build Nanaki
Scroll shelving ( screw bit holders ) works
Never thought of using ammo trays that way
Great video!
not familiar with an aurory, but an armillary/astrolabe I am. This would be a nice big arcane fantasy one. I love it! :D
Ah orrery. Helps if I spell it correctly. I still did not know that term. Lols. 🤠😎
Very cool steampunk orrery!
I wish you had never apologized for your steampunk tiles video, Wyloch. In fact, I wish you had doubled down in claiming that steampunk is just random gears, pistons and valves stuck onto anything! Pure nonsensical aesthetics!
Who's gonna stop us from saying so?! No one, that's who, because everyone knows we're right!
Anyway, I'm happy you're so productive with your new style and techniques. I'm looking forward to you bringing this momentum to some sci-fi themed videos on the future.
Super cool!
That is the most unique black-smithery I have ever seen.
