The first time I played Undertale and fought Papyrus, I was trying to spare him at first but since I was really bad at the game I kept getting hit and captured. After the third capture I gave up on sparing him and actually tried to kill him instead but so much of his dialogue had already been said that by the time I had done any significant damage to him, he spared me! We then went on an awesome date.

I stopped doing a genocide route cause I didn't wanna kill Papyrus, and I spared him. I reset then actually went for it, and then Papyrus says "I didn't expect that" then talks about he truly believes that you can be a good person if you try. That just about made me reset again.
