Microtransaction free Pocket Camp suddenly makes it a lot more appealing. I only played the original for about an hour at an airport one time, so maybe if I give it another chance with the complete edition it'll click more. Also the free product proves that Nintendo are clearly Protendo fans, which means they'll surely bring him on as an advisor for the next Animal Crossing

it actually does give me hope that they gave him a free copy 😭like maybe they will take his great advice/ideas about the next game to heart too.

Pocket camp complete proves how great pocket camp is when microtransactions are removed. To me it’s almost on par with new leaf or new horizons. I’m been having a blast with complete. I never played much due to not being a fan of the whole microtransactions thing but now the game is 10/10 chefs kiss

As someone coming back to Pocket camp after having played it since the very beginning, but stopped once leaf tickets became the currency for everything almost and became harder to obtain as a free player, leaf tokens are the BEST. Some tips I would give to you as a new player though, that I've since learned and picked up on.
    1. You can buy leaf tokens by exchanging bells 5x per month.
    2. Complete tickets are AMAZING? Why? Rather than the traditional way of obtaining items from cookies, complete tickets allow you to choose any item from that cookie. So if you want a rare? Save the tickets for those!
    3. ALWAYS send Gulliver's ship out. Why? Not only is it a part of the stretch goals, however you can get cookies, and villager maps from Gulliver islands. I actually just got Raymond the other day! I was screaming with excitement. You can also get leaf tokens and complete tickets. Trust me you will want the complete tickets.
    4. For villager maps, don't waste your essences!! Auto trek them with leaf tokens instead. You can also do this with other maps, or you can sell those other maps for bells.
    5. I think you already mentioned this but use some leaf tokens to shorten crafting time, if you do the max then your crafting time will be instant. I prefer actually to keep the crafting less short so that I don't spend as much time on the app, I can just come back later when everything is all done.
    6. Always appoint a camp caretaker, they're amazing!! They will do tasks for you while you're away, and when there is an event they will give you fish, bugs, etc from the event. Not very many but it does help a lot!
    7. The fastest way to level up? Give low level villagers snacks. I've found I can take a level 1 villager to around level 11 or so by giving them 5 gold snacks. Snacks are another reason to send Gulliver's ship out too.
    6. Make yourself a camper card, and visit the animal crossing pocket camp reddit (or ask friends for theirs) so you can begin collecting them. Why? Campers will appear in Whistle Pass and not only give you a gift each day, but also you can ask them to help at the quarry. You can go to the quarry with Camper's help two times a day. After the two times you will need to pay leaf tokens to keep going.
    7. For this fishing tourney I would advise against renting the golden rod unless you just want to finish faster. I finished the tourney within a day or two and I didn't rent it. After you complete the tourney you can still keep fishing for additional random rewards.
    8. Always check your little journal! Why? Because you can keep track of events there too, for toy day you may have noticed that you get this bell looking currency, well the reason for that is because you can exchange them for furniture and leaf tokens. Just be sure to look at the journal daily to make sure you haven't missed anything.
    9. Level up in Happy Home Designer! Why? With some levels you can also get leaf tokens!
That about wraps up what I can think of at the moment, I hope these tips will be helpful to everyone.

The leaf tokens are so much better compared to the tickets; imagine this scenario where tickets can only be obtainable through very specific missions in events (about 3 tickets per mission reward) and the easiest way to get them is to level up which gives you only 10 of them. You want to buy a fortune cookie box with is essentially a 5-item lootbox that cost *250 TICKETS* and you need to buy it before it goes to the vault forever. Now imagine tokens which you get 50 per level up and still a handful per mission achievement, and those expensive cookie boxes now only cost 25 tokens each
Definitely way better than the original currency ever was

For sure, I have a love-hate relationship with leaf tickets
Leaf stones are so much better

If someone likes to interact with their villagers, Pocket Camp always is better than new horizons for that. Villagers have all kinds of different interactions with different furniture.. For instance, if you place an ice rink, you'll find your villagers skating. There are all kinds of new discoveries to find.

In exchange though, we lost the ability to visit other people's campsites, see their album pictures and give reactions, and send and receive gift boxes. Additionally, the gap between events/activities is longer. I started playing in August and I was delighted with it like you were. But nowadays I haven't been A
as vested in it. Having to wait around for certain cookies to come back to the shop and not being able to visit other camps, makes not much to do atm. it's nice to look at a campsite layout I made for a bit then I get off.

yay protendo animal crossing video my favorite
u should look at the recent development in the modding scene for acnh-- Bulk crafting, custom items, silver tools, fish, bugs, flowers, nook miles goals, and even new special characters 😱
i've kinda been spearheading it with a "3.0" mod so if u wanna see videos of it i have plenty :)
its been in development for the last six months and will hopefully release soon. crazy how much potential this game(acnh) STILL has and how nintendo kinda just didnt do all this when it takes a modder like me mere months

Took a look and it’s very impressive looking so far! Are you planning on bringing back older furniture sets with your mod at all? I’d love to use the modern set again

@@floofgaming1381 thanks for taking a look :) i have brought back the illuminated public work projects from ACNL as their own furniture items (crafted using silver nuggets + ornaments) and actually yes I have been in the process of adding the modern set as a craftable series of items! i have already added the modern bed as a customizable item that can even have custom sheets! i intend to finish the set for a future update to my mod (so, it won't be included on release) but the modern clock has given me trouble with its weird layout lol
I also have plans for some other series, like for instance i want the robo set to be crafted using iron and sapphire.

I first tried the game in 2020 cause my sister told me to get it. Played it for about 2 weeks, then got tired of the paywalls on everything, and proceeded to delete it without looking back. After finding out the complete version exists, I've been enjoying every second of it. It honestly feels like a good game to me now.

"Product provided by Nintendo" Let me stop you right there. Nintendo slowly lost me over the last 4 years, even when it comes to Animal Crossing. They can shove their mobile games, their faulty controllers and Mario where I won't be looking for them.
