Allie is a prodigious talent, check out some of her originals especially Beneath the Dark, which is a song about her mother who died when Allie was only nine, i also have to agree with Collin Clark who suggested you listen to her version of Skyfall it is brilliant and if you wish to see a completely different side to Allie check out her collaborations with the Three Busketeers who also busk on Grafton St. Cheers for the reaction to Allie.

Lovely reaction, guys. Allie makes her covers so interesting, if not captivating and contagious. Her feeling and dynamic is out of this world, that's probably why I often give her covers more attention than I do with the originals ... Bohemian Rhapsody is an example ... where I'm on the fence with the original, great song but a bit much, if that makes sense, but Allie's is simply beautiful... Much love to her.
Simple. Studio contracts are robbery. Up front money your going to pay back. It’s so important to get right terms. Studio 5 year contracts are for reason. Stars in most cases dim after early start. They own you. Allie has turned down many studios at least til 18 years old. She now would love time to be with a studio but has chooses which means she wants to surround herself with a team that looks out for her. In the meantime she certainly is not starving and having the time of her life. She also has contacts in the business who are very powerful that she can turn to for advice and I’m sure the studios know that any entertainer with 1 billion views and 5.6 million subscribers won’t have any trouble filling a venue. She is a nice kid and only 17 years old and she enjoys singing raw and without autotune which certainly will be told by the studio she has to use

As Paul mentioned it is an amazing performance by Allie ! One other thing about the Amazing Allie Sherlock, most of her one take street performances are studio quality performances, and that includes the instrumentals on most of her videos since she accompanies herself on guitar an all around entertainer, not just a vocalist . BP1 made mention in his reaction, “ what a sound” , and “ beautiful sound !

Allie is amazing ! Her powerful rich raspy voice that trails off and up into that falsetto head voice! She is the full package, amazing voice, her beautiful guitar playing, fantastic performer who feels the music and in turn makes her audience feel the music, and a personality that just draws you to her ! A fact that a lot of people miss but shows how good Allie is, if you check out her 955 videos on her RUclips channel the vast majority are live ONE TAKE performances and the quality she delivers consistently is just unbelievable ! And in almost all her videos you will get to see that AMAZING ALLIE SMILE !
Totally agree with you, and absolutely you both note that she is on the street, no rehearsal, no autotune. And only 17! She gets criticized by some for not being “as good” as some in the studio with autotune, which is silly and ignorant.
I’ve seen most of her videos, and they range from phenomenal to “next”, but she is fearless, and great at adjusting on the fly while singing in the cold and the rain or impromptu performances with fellow buskers and even audience members.
Glad to watch reviewers that actually understand how hard performing is!

We will return to Allie again soon and see what else we find, we have done Tennessee whisky from a few different artists, so we know that one quite well.

Allie has been signed by Patreon , Ryan Tedder production until she turns 18 next year. She loves to entertain people which is why she busks on Grafton St. Her friends are buskers also so it's a social thing as well. She and her Dad driving up from Cork every weekend when she is isn't writing music in London. Allie and the 3 Busketeers cover of Back To Black is great, but my favorite cover of Back To Black by Allie is her solo cover from 3 years ago , so much feeling in that performance !
As for now Allie has turned down all studios. In a interview she was actually at the signing appointment but in a final discussion when it was explained to Allie the studio would work her ass off and take most the money . As Allie quoted they take all of it . Her growth is similar with Angelina’s but Allie keeps her money plus maintains her creative freedom . Good for her , might take longer to build her new production company but she will own it .

She's had this voice since she was 12 and that's whe Ellen saw her busking in Dublin and brought her to America. She's had loads of record company offers since then but her dad, also a musician and manager, thought she was too young to enter the evil record industry. Concerning your question, why she's still being a busker, there are several answers to it. First of all, Allie is a dedicated busker since six years and has built her career by busking and her social media completely by herself. At the moment she holds 5.57 million subscribers on RUclips. Second, Allie's dad Mark Sherlock has decided to enbable his daughter a happy childhood in Ireland with her friends and family instead of touring around the world as a minor. In April she will be 18 years old and probably doing much more stage gigs. Third, Allie Sherlock has several offers of music labels who want to sign her. She's currently in preparations for her first album with merely her originals and in the process of deciding, whether she wants to sign for a label.

This is my opinion. Allie quit Britain’s got talent from Ryan Tedder advice . Flew to LA and signed with him at age 12. Allie’s basically has made it public she is not signing til after age 18. Disney, Universal , Atlantic , Polygor have all offered. She is enjoying her teens ,banked millions and her dad jokingly said maybe she’ll sing on a cruise ship . She has been on big stage numerous times , has solid originals , does not autotune even on stage. Angelina and Allie are different. Allie is raw talent unmatched , never worries about a mispitch because her fans love hearing a real vocalists. Studios will make Allie use autotune because of costs during studio time. Her dad worries about studio treatment and feels she is better when older to handle those people . Angelina is a autotune singer with a great voice , that’s a shame . Allie so far is unique and music lovers still like the real deal.

Soon as you sign with studio’s your autotuned. Not all but major stars even use autotune concert live , background vocalists and studio tracks running even while vocalists sing live for support if singer not confident to hit a note. Studios run the method the singer requires because they’ve vested themselves in signing the artist. Doesn’t mean anything bad just whether the vocalist has freedom to go raw. Studio work is almost all sit these days except for very few like Dion or Houston . Studios don’t want to wait 30 takes to get a pure sound so it’s corrected. Lady Gaga is some who has been public about allowing it to happen . Usually when you hear comments like perfect pitch there is a reason ,raw live performances usually has a few misses even by the best personally I love those slips because the vocalists is letting all hang out . Bands are not held to perfect pitch but soloists are . Studios don’t want 50,000 people hearing a weak performance because the singer has a slight cold so the act is protected . I thing bad about it but perfect pitch is almost impossible
The entire America got talent uses autotune concert And so does Britain got talent. Angelina sign studio contract early so if your studio vocalist your autotune period. Her outside live possibly could be not using autotune. Lady Gaga is a autotune queen

You would think buskers out there on the street playing for donations, would be struggling financially. And of course, many of them are. But when they are really good like Allie, they get a following pretty fast. And they often do quite well financially. Allie's net worth is over $3M. Or you take someone like Karolina Protsenko, a young violintist who has been busking since she was about 8 years old. She is 13 now, with 3 YT channels and over 8M subscribers. She earns over $1M a year busking, and at 13 her net worth is over $6M. She recently bought her parents a new home. She is also a very kind, humble, and generous person. Ok there has been a bunch of great recommendations on some amazing Allie videos to react to next which I believe are all pretty current. But the one I think you should do is the one BP2 mentioned, it’s not her first RUclips video but it’s that one that propelled her to where she is today! That cover 5 years ago of Ed Sheerans Supermarket Flowers! Ed wrote that song in memory of his grandmother who passed away, but some context here about this song and Allie. Allie had lost her Mum, just a couple years before this, so this song when you listen to her sing the lyrics has some special meanings! Also check out the comments, it’s been over 5 years and there is still many new comments post in the last couple of months! And if you check some of the comments, this 12 year old girl with such a heartfelt performance touched the souls of a lot of people! BP1 mentioned the vibe that Allie has, and what it is Allie gives you her heart and soul when she sings, thats not something you can learn, or can be mix and mastered in a studio, it’s something your born with that makes you special, and Allie Sherlock has it and people feel it !

Fellows, just to give you a little more info on Allie, as Edna and Rik commented already Allie is signed to Patriot Studios, which is owned by Ryan Tedder of One Republic. Her contract with Patriot I believe ends next year as Allie turns 18 and I believe Big Things will happen for Allie next year ! But Allie is already a Super Star with more RUclips followers than some top name performers ! Watch some of her videos and see the people that want their pictures taken with Allie probably realizing this young lady will very soon be a bona fide Super Star ! As to why she still busks on Grafton St. in Ireland, think about this, if you are a teenager and get to do what you love and get to hang out on the street with your friends and have FUN, oh and make a lot of money too what could be better ! Now Allie and her dad Mark have worked really hard to get Allie where she is, soon to have 1000 videos on her RUclips channel, and you heard it here first I predict Allie will reach the ONE BILLION views on RUclips somewhere towards middle to end of September and in the hunt for 6 million RUclips subs ! Two more thoughts why Allie is so popular besides the fact of her amazing voice and guitar playing. I've been following Allie for around 5 years now, She is just great Love her music alot. I have a top 10 that I call it with 40 or 50 songs she has done and there is 1 song I think that has stood the test of time. She was 13 at the time singing on Grafton St. with David Owens on piano Oct. 2018 and I think she was on point this day. Still 1 of my favorites. Amen. I think that this, along with her cover of A Million Dreams, was one of her best performances and is one of my favorite videos of her. The soul and feeling she put into Dancing on My Own that day was just incredible. Another incredible cover she poured her heart into is her cover of Always Remember Us This Way from A Star Is Born. She absolutely slayed that song.
I’ve been watching Allie Sherlock reaction videos today and really enjoyed yours. I’ve been following her for about two years and just have been blown away by how much I’ve learned about singing by watching her amazing performances.
As to why she’s still performing and busking on Grafton street I think it’s because she LOVES PERFORMING and gets important feedback directly from those smaller intimate performances on the street than she would in larger indoor (and health riskier during Covid) setting.
You can tell that for a 17 year old she has a ton of live performance experience and that will serve her well when she wants to expand.
I also think that she and her Dad are very smart. Very canny. There are enormous life threatening mistakes that you can make if thrust into the immense world spotlight too soon. Just look at Lindsey Lohan or many of the early Disney stars for examples of what to avoid.
To my mind she’s a bard, with almost magical ability to interact with live crowds. She’s still learning though, and that’s amazing. Knowing that there is still a lot for you to learn is freeing if you don’t let your ego get ahead of you.
Glad you found her and I really enjoyed your reaction. Right now it’s so much fun for me to watch new people react to Allie, but, I’ve subscribed and I’ll be back.
There’s nothing of Allie’s I wouldn’t enjoy you two reacting to. Just pick one, I think you’ll find that she has a gift for making any song her own which is the difference between a singer and a bard.

Allie is amazing. She can sing anything and does a great job of it.
Allie brings in huge foot-traffic of shoppers to Grafton St. weekly. The city should be PAYING HER instead of charging her for a license to perform( with frequent fines for causing crowds).
Mark down any autotune version automatically 30 points or demand a live version. That’s apples to apples. !!!!!!
She's the total package. Excellent guitarist, piano and you heard the voice. Most importantly she has a wonderful personality, helps out her dad who has done a
wonderful job raising her since her mom died when Allie was 9. She's constantly at work with voice, piano lessons and learning new covers as well as writing her
own. We've heard portions of songs that will be on her Warner debut album and they're gonna smash!
Well, to my mind it isn't clear yet, whether Allie will sign a contract with Warner. Currently she is doing songwriting and recording at Universal music in London.

She's been on Ellen, and shes signed to Ryan Tedder. But no matter how great voice you've got you still need your own hits, covers will only get you so far.

Another Irish street performer (aka busker) are the young classic rockers Dea Matrona. They are now playing festivals and have toured Europe as an opening act but there a some excellent busking videos, most notably their cover of Cream's Crossroads and Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well ruclips.net/video/mYPfmOhua3o/видео.html. These young ladies, just teenagers at the time are super talented musicians and singers, swapping instruments for different songs. The drummer you will see in the busking videos has left the band to go to University so the two other girls are continuing with various session drummers for their live shows. Anyway, you may like Dea Matrona as they play everything from hard rock to blues to singer songwriter to fold music and all very well. Their covers of Simon and Garfunkel's Homeward Bound and CSN's Helplessly Hoping are amazing.
