Welcome back! How to place mining unit on voxels: - Place unit - Delete voxels - Start unit - Press Backspace Something I think you didn't mention: you get more calibration bonus if you have more charge energy left. So it might be better to stop at 90% density and get more bonus from leftover energy. Also some math that would help to explain production rate: Production_rate = base_rate * efficiency / 100 * (100 + adjacency)/100 * Calibration
Shamsie is the best. Clear instructional technique, hypothetical situations, best practices, practical examples. This is text on what an instructional video should be.
Thank you for showing me how to get started. I've figured it out well enough that I always find the hot spot. Here's my method: Cone tool, scan in three segments so the circle's edge is near the center and the wall. That will cover almost all of the map. Then peak tool, put it in the middle of the two cones that point toward each other. Then offset the circle and use the peal tool again. Finally point tool, point directly in the spot where the peak lines intersect. If this is not the hot spot, switch to the area the third cone pointed towards and repeat the peak tool and point tool.
Het Shamsy, great vid! My approach to the mini game seems to work and it is similar to yours. I always start with the cone in the middle, then cone again half way from the cone result to the edge the firsdt cone result points to. I then use the area tool in the spot the two cones seems to point to and really often it reveals the hot spot. Cheers. I hope to see lots more content from you!
Hey Sham, thanks for your time and instruction, much appreciated. I didn't catch anything about where to put talent points. Can you enlighten us, please?
Interesting thought. You could perhaps raise that with them as a question on the forums. They did a community Q&A recently, they may do another or perhaps directly answer the point in the forum.
@@ShamsTales What I heard them say on the Q&A was cap voxel complexity (The polygon mesh rapped around the voxels) but if you're just using cubes the voxels should be there even if you don't add any there just set to clear/off
Welcome back! So with the calibration, does that mean every 24 hours I need to move my mining units to a new hot spot or are they set once I find it as long as I dont shut it off?
Calibration declines over time. You'll need to keep the unit calibrated, otherwise, even though it's on, it won't harvest ore. I am waiting till theybhit 30% Calibration and topping them up
Not sure, but all of my re-calibrations have been random I believe, but I haven't paid actual attention to that. I'll take a picture next time I calibrate and check.
@@ShamsTales The issue arises when the hex is owned by Player but the construct is owned by org. In that case the player has to give mining rights to the org. Or was it the other way around? I'm so confused :) This happened to me on my Sanctuary tile.
Welcome back!

I now have a large smile on my face. Thank you for your kind words of praise!

Welcome back, glad to watch more contents from you!
Thank you! I'm glad you're here. Sorry for the bad sound quality, I'm still learning how to use this new microphone
Very helpful! This makes a lot more sense now!
Welcome back to the utube game mate!
Thanks, mate! I should have made time for this ages ago.
Welcome back old DU friend
Thank you! I've been playing and streaming a little bit, but I'm glad to be back to RUclips as well!
Welcome back shams
Thank you! I'm glad to be back!
Welcome back, mate.
Thank you, mate!

We have missed the Voice! Welcome back!!!!!
As Always your guidance is first rate!
Thank you, Jimmy! I'm very glad to be back
Thanks for this! 🙂
You're welcome!

I've just come back too. Having to learn industry again.
Hi Captain, welcome back! I hope to have a video up soon that may help you with that.
Thanks mate
They probably gonna cap voxel count for dynamic and static . Which I would totally agree with

Shams...how do I get one of your warp shuttles? Is there a market stall somewhere etc... Thanks
I should really set one up, but probably best to message me on discord to set up a time or maybe hop into chat during a stream
Thanks for the vid. Do you know if the hotspot is always in the same place for the resource or does it change with each calibration?

One more thing, the construct you are going to use as a miningrig, needs to be in your name, not the org.
You can do it with an org owned construct but you have to give rights via RDMS
I have the core owned by my org, on it's own tile, and I've not had to set any RDMS for that yet.
