Beautiful! FYI,, there is a product that jewelry crafters use called Tool Magic that you can dip pliers in to create a white rubber surface that won't scratch your wire. It's removable, and actually can be re-done when it wears down. Might be good to know about.
youre right about most of the tutorials being about as useful as a chocolate frying pan. Yours isn't quite what I need, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Thanks.
That really turned out beautiful 🤩! I have to give a 😂. I thought my trees took a long time, but stripping all those wires had to be a pain in the butt. In the end…really great up-cycle of wire. ✌️❤️
@@BlanchBrothersStudio yes it turned out beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I use sports gloves when I turn my trees, I’m able to get a good twist with them. On the other hand I haven’t done that many wires. ✌️❤️
My friends, brother and I used to sneak into the phone companies yard in the 80s and steal strips of cable from these large spools. We'd peel the wires from the plastic and make these jewelry pieces out of them. They were hella cool...I wish I remember how to make them...
Hey @Devin's Art Studio I know this video is now two years old but do you have any tips for a smaller tree or more like a bonsai? like 10-12 inch big? Just things like how much copper wire I should use and so on :)
Typically your going to measure a length of wire and 1/3 of that length will be the roots, a 1/3 will be the trunk, and the rest is the canopy. (Generally...doesn't need to be exact.) So if you want a 6" tree you're going to use about 10" pieces. 3" for the roots and you loose some hight as you twist it. Hope this helps
Thanks for the video, but I do have one question, won't the bare copper wire eventually turn green? Are you OK with that, or do you think it would be good to spray it with some kind of clear coat to try to prevent that aged effect over time?
It will turn green eventually but that might take 20 years or more,... maybe longer because its inside. But you are right that I could clear coat it to protect the color.
Instead of twisting the 2 wired by hand make a small gig or holder. Then attach 2 a hand drill head u control the speed and direction the drill twists the wired 2gether & much faster
For most of it I actually used a pair of safety wire twisters. VERY fast! But for the ends of the branches it was too delicate to use so I did it by hand.
My biggest problem was getting the main trunk and top level branches to combine and not untwist. I even tried copper plumbing solder and it didn't work. Any suggestions there? How did you get it to not untwist with the rod inside? Thanks!
I used two large channel lock pliers to really over twist the trunk. If that doesnt work for you, you can try twisting each wire in pairs first, and then twisting everything together into a trunk. The exra twists should give everything more grip and hold better
@@BlanchBrothersStudio Thanks. I tried overtwisting too, didn't quite work. Part of it was the wire was soft, I used strands from 12 gauge wire, and my tree was about 16 inches tall.
@@burtonkent4549 wow! thats some thick wire compared to what I used. Try twisting up the trunk and putting tape around it. Then build the rest of the tree before taking the tape off
Wow,this is amazing 💖. I work with wire. However, you are a true master of your craft.

Thanks I'll have to try that on the next one
Never thought of doing a project with a golf glove on. I like it.
Work gloves don't allow for intricate movement. I needed something thin and protective :)
I’m way impressed!! Your finished product came out awesome! It was fun to see the whole process!
Now you can make your own!! Do IT DO IT DO IT!!!
Art is the production of the beautiful.
This, right here, is ART!

Absolutely Gorgeous!
Thank you!
So fresh and extremely creative! Love your work, man. You're really talented person🖤
Beautiful ! One of the best I've seen. Very detailed and realistic.
Thank you. I've always been fascinated with realism
All lot of work, time and patience went into this. Thank you for sharing. 👍 Well done.
Good job, the final product looks really nice.
You like?? You can have it :) jk lol
Amazing! What a gift you have!
Truly, and I'm grateful everyday.
Creative minds think alike honestly before I ever saw this I made something similar 💪
That really turned out beautiful 🤩!

OMG I LOVE YOUR PICKLE INTRO!!!!
Q is a cucumber...which is basically the same thing :)
@@BlanchBrothersStudio just pickled!
First time seeing this channel and the pickle kept throwing me off lol
You either love him or hate him. Most people hate it and so I got rid of it

WOW YOU DID SO GOOD
Thanks so much!
amazing work there... you sure do have a lot of patience!
Everything takes time, but it's worth it in the end
Looks Amazing! Very nice job!
I do this same thing when I am tweeking but waiting to build up enough to justify a trip to the scrap yard.
That is absolutely beautiful
Awesome tree! Great tutorial:)
So beautiful!
Muy buen trabajo reciclado 100x100 me gustó mucho i buen trabajo de bonsái de cobre, un saludo desde España ( tu bonsai en casa)
👍 thanks
Very nice indeed! Thank you
What did you use to get all the roots to lay down & stay put? Glue???
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
Brown panel nails. Hammered them in through the bigger roots and bent everything else to match the wood
Thank you. Awesome job.
Super creative!❤️
Thank you. I want to do it again but this time do it so big that it's a world record. Just have to get the materials together

As opposed to buying a spool of copper wire? Wouldn’t the extra time allow you to create two trees? This is gorgeous, by the way! 🖤
That is a way, but its more expensive and im super poor
beautiful Amazing Tree !!

Love it.

Wow, that looked great! How many hours do think you have in that piece?
This one took me about 25 hours, but only because I had to spend 2 days stripping wire. The actual sculpting took about 15

NICE !!!
😍😍😍

You can get wire with 660ish strands inside and it's not super expensive
