    Yeah, I didn't think that baffler was high enough that he couldn't make the leap. It was either that, or he'd probably use the back of the wooden chair. A pole needs to be higher and placed well away from anything these little acrobats can use to jump from. Interesting watching them work it out, though.

    I always mix chimney soot and axle grease and apply it to the underside of the baffle. (Vaseline also works!) It is fun to see blackened squirrels in the yard. Use some grease/soot on your pole below the baffle as well!

    Neighbours thwarted squirrels by adding a heating duct tube to the pole. You do have to seal the top of the pole, and it doesn't look great, but the squirrels haven't figured it out. The little beggars can jump up almost 6 feet though.........

    you probably should buy a feeder just for the squirrels I have one and they leave all my bird feeders alone!

    so you ever conquer the squirel? I'm looking for anti squirel readers, did you get putting the guard higher?
