  • In this video I compare two relatively high-end La Casa Del Habano cigars to see which is the best one? Both of these cigars sit in a simialr price range here in the UK. Additionally, they're similar enough in size for a reasonable comparison to be made.
Find out in this video which of these two are the best LCDH cigars currently on the market.

I really enjoy the libertador - as you mentioned the price in Europe is 245 for a box of 10. I really miss my Trinidad’s but even in Europe it’s just priced in a crazy way.

    Three days after my 78th birthday...I opened the box of 12...what a perfect cigar...great burn...perfect roll...slight tight draw..but hey....what I want..perfect smoke and ash...perfect...just so elegant...medium in strength...and sorry to all readers..31 Euros...just yummy.

I’d rather buy 3-4 Atabeys for those prices

I am completely aligned with you concerning the price increases for Cubans. It slowed my smoking of my Cubans dramatically and it would seem we should have crossed the threshold when the market will not bear any more increases, but they are still selling. I don't know when that threshold will be crossed, but it has for me. Is Habanos SA pushing the increases to find where the market will break and no longer bear these stratospheric prices? It certainly is not sustainable for those who have been smoking Cubans and will be too high a hurdle for those new to cigars to enter the market, all of which kills their current market and will be a prohibitive barrier to enter the market for the future. It will be a shame people in the future will not know the character and journey of a Fundadores, the flavor of an aged H Upmann like the Mag 56 ELs, or elegance of a Por Larranaga or La Gloria Cubana. I wish I had been able to get this Trini La Trova and Bolivar Libertador. I had my eye on them and others. Thanks for the review.

Yeah, the latest increases are too much for me now. I'm looking more to NC cigars these days

Don't really know about the prices in the UK. But in Germany you get for example 3 Monte No. 2, or 3 P 2's, or 3 Hoyo Rio Seco, etc., instead of 1, in my opinion highly overhyped, standard OpusX Double Robusto, or 1 Padron Family Reserve, 1926, or 1964. And these are for real not worth this kind of money. Well constructed, well aged, ok. But tastewise no comparison to Cubans. And you still get many Cubans for around £10 - £12, like Seleccion No. 1& 2, Galanes, Picadores, Regios. The New Epicure No. 3 is selling for £16/17. Same price as a standard Padron. Way cheaper, than a Sixty from Patel. Would you pick a Perdomo Double Aged Robusto, or a Short Churchill? Etc., etc.
Don't get me wrong, I smoke also NW. But from hundreds i smoked last year, it's just few, that i really liked. And much fewer, that you can get for cheaper, than standard Cubans, which i love.
Same with smaller sizes. If you have to choose between a Super Partagas, a RyJ Mille Fleur, a Montecarlos, or a Fuente Rainforest Delight (which is by far the smallest of these four), which three would you pick? They cost all the same money (+/-£1).
Just stay away from Trini and Cohiba (as much, as you can😅), and some special lines. Everything else is here not more expensive, than good NW cigars. Many are even cheaper.

Alternatively, check out the Colibri Julius. I'm going to do a review on that lighter at some point next month.

Great comparison, love your reviews. Good to see, i'm not the only one after the price increase that decides to stay away from lovely Trinis. Still miss them, but tons of other great Cubans to enjoy.
But after this review I propably have to make an exception and go for La Trova.😂

good comparison. Libertador better value for money currently. La Trova is probably smoother smoke. Bolivar Lib perfect after a steak

That pricing is crazy - I got a box of 10 of the Bolivar for 245 Euro - I think at that price it’s a good value smoke.
Great review - very much agree with the taste profiles.

I got it even lower, 215eur 4 years ago, for the price solid cigar BUT exactly as Osman explained , really nothing much to it,just a solid quality cigar with boring flavors. After 4 years i still have 6 in my humidor hoping they change a bit
