This should be called the neutral UNsafety switch. I was almost killed when my car died in the middle of an intersection, while trying to push my car. Am in my 70’s and almost got hit. When this happened with my Pinto, I was able to put the car in 2nd gear, turn the key and the starter pulled my car to safety. The gas station had water in the tank and I wasn’t the only one to have my car die. I couldn’t do that with the focus because of the stupid “safety” switch.
