In this video you will learn about conditional formatting and IF Statements in Excel, including:
- How to use IF statements with dates
- How to use conditional formatting to show when something has exceeded a 'limit'
Conditional formatting is a really useful feature in Excel that is used by lots of people in many ways in businesses. We have covered conditional formatting for values but this example shows it being used alongside the IF statement. The IF statement has been used to work out how many days someone has been off sick and then conditional formatting has been applied to show if the total number is greater than 4 weeks or not. In this video we have a look at how to apply this conditional formatting after the formula has given the figure we need in the spreadsheet.
