I do not wanna think about how long this must have taken. There's so many things in here that add so much to the heart of the original song that must have taken you a really long time to think of. You have all my respect. After doing a cover of Yuuma's them, hearing a bunch of references to it here makes me really happy :)
Usually when I choose the style that the arrangement is going to take, I already have an idea of how to do it, but in this case, I had to lengthen the theme to try to make the structure make some sense and that is what takes quite some time. Thank you very much for your comment and for appreciating the effort
This arrangement is crazy, it was the most shocking to hear! The intro is very epic. Good choice to arrange an intense theme inspired by another intense theme. It also brought out an epic and malefic/dark feeling that there is in Shinki's theme. Hey, is 0:34 ~ 0:57 inspired by the intro to ZUN's arrangement? I feel this a bit, but the melodies are not the same (I assume you have converted several notes into a few, to suit the intended structure). I liked how for the most part of the arrangement you've adapted the sections of Yuuma's theme very well without seeming like you're forcing one theme to sound like another, this seems to have been done with a lot of care. Thinking like what I expected in the remastered OST, in 2:54 ~ 3:17 Shinki's theme sadly is lost, but you creatively soften that with the intro melody I quoted. As an arrangement I have no problems with it. I read the description of the video, it seems like something complicated, and your work here was still excellent.
The instruments and frenetic behavior of them like the theme that served as inspiration bring the intensity I mentioned and are used in a way to bring an epic feeling as well. About the malefic/dark feeling, they are very well represented in some parts of some sections, probably due to the way the pianos play, when they have more prominence (I speak mainly that this feeling is rescued in some parts of the sections 2:09 ~ 2:28 and 4:50 ~ 5:35), this is interesting. I'm really looking forward to the Extra stage theme.

0:34 ~ 0:57 That intro had several changes(? Tewi gave that idea which is inspired by Necro-Fantasia (TH15.5) And as such I didn't want to waste it so I made a couple of changes to make it sound like TH17.5. About the piano, I think it is a highlight in this arrangement. It's all over the place in chords, arpeggios and melodies, and I loved the sense of calm that the final piano section (4:50) gives you. It's fun to hear how the track goes from being half chaotic to feeling peaceful and relaxed. Thanks so much for commenting!
@@KarlZuniga Oh, I can see Necro-Fantasy (TH15.5). Wow, haven't heard this in a long time. How cool that Tewi is involved. I think I only heard one song from they, posted on Paradise of Boundaries, very cool song. I also love the final section with that calm piano and the alternation between calm and non-calm sections throughout the arrangement. I also like the theme to be long, as I like it when the final boss theme is longer than 3 minutes.
Good ear! Mainly the theme was going to take the theme of TH15.5 (Necro-fantasia) and that part was the main idea In the end it was decided to change to a more recent style, but the structure of that section was kept
While this was one of the arrangements I liked more from the "remaster", I will admit it was also one of the ones I was disappointed when I initially heard it. It wanders too much into remix territory, rather than remaster territory, which a lot of the "remaster" soundtracks that weren't in the preview video ended up wandering into, so there was a huge dissonance between my set expectations due to PoB's LLS remaster + the preview, to what PoB was actually providing. Great remix, just not something I'd quite label a remaster
I understand this perfectly. The theme ended up not as a style of some game, but with parts and structures similar to this one, so you could say it's not really a remaster. Where I do disagree is that you call it a "Remix". Remix is generally attributed to an instrumentation or mix different from the original. In this case, although a different mix is used, different aspects are added, altering the structure and even melodies, so it is an "arrangement". Thank you very much for your comment, they are always appreciated!
was hardcore expecting UFO style. Was really cool to have my expectations subverted like this and i love this arrangement
Glad you like it

It would be interesting to hear an old theme remastered by ZUN himself. I would pay for it(?

Most hard moments:

3:15 - 4:01
4:02 - 4:26
4:27 - 4:54 BEST PART RIGHT HERE
That final part was a bit improvised, I'm glad you liked it

Looks like Yukari gaped the border between her theme and Shinki's theme.
More like she bridged the gap (heh) between this song and Yuuma's first theme
Kinda reminded me with Toutetsu's theme

Yukari was a little idea for the beginning. Actually the rest of the theme is inspired by Yuuma's themes
