So funny how brazil asked for a friendship because he knew you were going to kill him
Artemis, pyramids and colosseum, what a game
Very strange that bbg modders didnt nerf Kumasi, considering how op it is
They are not really balancing the game.
Its more situational in MP is my guess. If it becomes a problem, people can destroy it or usurp you. The stars have to align for you to have is away from everyone long enough to have dominance in envoys and safe.
Like ...here it was safely tucked away in the corner of the map all to himself. He didn't war anyone till late so no one must have known it existed till it was too late
The BBG team is mainly concerned with balance for 4v4 teamers games. As a result, strategies that perform better in free-for-all games than teamers tend to be slightly overtuned. In a teamers game, someone on the enemy team will try to flip Kumasi from you once they realize you have it. Since they'll be at war with you all game, if they take control of Kumasi for even one turn it'll cancel every single trade route you have to the city state since it'll declare war on you. You get to keep the trader units, as they'll just return to your city centers, but there's no way you can justify keeping them idle while you wait for more envoys to take back Kumasi.
In free-for-all games, players aren't as incentivized to spend all of their envoys on city states that don't directly benefit them. Furthermore, war declarations with other players locks them out of luxury resource trades and the passive bonuses from envoys they have in any city states controlled by players they're at war with. Nubia should've flipped Kumasi and declared war on me at some point in the midgame to clear my trade routes, once it became clear that the two of us were the only players competing for 1st, but it's possible that they never even discovered Kumasi b/c of how hidden it is on the edge of my peninsula.
@@HersonCiv You don't have to trade with Kumasi to get the culture. Trades with any cs works. So idle traders thing is avoidable at this point.
Great vid. Top tier edits, hitting all important info.
I remember how I played on CPL for the first time, I did the same thing as you did to other player with scout (stealing barb camp), but he came with revenge and conquered me. I haven't played much multiplayer games but I love watching your videos, especially tutorials ❤❤❤❤
What a banger, happy Friday👌🏻
I’ve been watching your video since the beginning. This is peak Herson content
Classic Herson ! Cheesing his way to every win ever ! Excellent editing and music taste though. The steal of the barb camp is NASTY.

I didn't know this is an ASMR channel now
Lmao infantry vs man at arms
How did you use this song without a getting copyright strike ?
This video did get copyright claimed. As a result, it's not actually monetized at the moment. I expected that might happen when I uploaded it, and was pretty much banking on this video creating interest in the full-vod upload of this game which actually is monetized (which worked pretty well tbh)
Can you explain why you went for Moksha after Amani?
Didn't need Magnus's trade route promotions since I was sending all of my trade routes to Kumasi, so I figured I might as well take Moksha instead and go for the +1 culture per population promotion he has in BBG. This promotion has good synergy with the Temple of Artemis, since that wonder always results in a hugely populous city.
@@HersonCiv thx

Herson be honest, who is your favorite vtuber
I feel like I'm being asked to choose a favorite between my own children
What the hell how did nubia cc with 5 tech lead and more science?
because herson would roll her soonish, she had no culture so facism would brake her. And she didnt get oxford
War. Tech advantage would have shrunk soon.
Nubia had both astrology & celestial navigation researched, which I had skipped. In reality, after I completed Oxford University, I was only three real techs behind. Fascism would've let me kill Nubia, especially after farming XP on my units by killing the players between us (Julius Caesar gets +100% unit XP in BBG)
@@HersonCiv Oh okay I see
Man looking at those names, you farmed the bottom of the barrel of CPL, Ulhaus being the only semi decent player there.
Civ games can take upwards of five hours and new CPL FFA lobbies start fairly irregularly, so I typically just join the first FFA lobby I can whenever I want to play. Sometimes I get into pretty competitive lobbies (like my Hungary vod from a few days ago) and other times I get lobbies like this.
If I have 7 hours of free time in a given day and I know I need at least 5 in order to start a civ game, that means that I only have ~2 hours to get into an FFA lobby. If I skip lobbies that aren't strong enough, there's a real risk that I just won't get to play that day.
Well i mean, thats probably why its a little experience video as opposed to a full guide
The fact that Brazil failed to defend themselves at all is the main reason this isn't a full guide. Brazil never could've survived my attack, but they could've slowed down my kill on them by like 10 whole turns if they had just spammed medieval era units. It's considered impolite to the rest of the lobby to not defend yourself like Brazil did in this game.
If they had just stuck it out for like 40 minutes and slowed down my attack before dipping out, Nubia probably wouldn't have agreed to CC and we would've been able to play out an interesting end-game, in which case I could've made a proper full civ spotlight or something out of this.
Backstab
I assume you didn't assign Magnus in your capital city, becasue you were planning to send your traders to kumasi anyways. But why did you go for Moksha? Wouldn't you generate enough culture from your trade routes and Pen & Brush Golden Age? Or is there simply no better option in governeurs since you try to get as many culture as possible in the early game? I thought Moksha is like a religous civ only thing.
if i had to guess he pick moksha up to get though the couture tree faster to get feudalism and fascism faster also moksha isn't a bad pick even if you don't get a religion with bbg. He's just not a usually a early pick for nonreligious civ but going Amani early and doing CS trades instead of internal trade routes freed up governor titles, looks likes he used those on moksha. For magnus he probably moved him around to get more out of his bonus to chops
I had Temple of Artemis in my capital, which ensures that the city will grow to a very high population pretty quickly. Consequently, I wanted Moksha to take advantage of his "+1 culture per citizen in the city" promotion (before anyone asks, BBG changes governor promotions). I could've gone Pingala instead, but +1 science per citizen doesn't help me as much IMO. Getting to policy cards like "+1 science and +1 culture on international trade routes" and "+2 food and +2 prod on trade routes to allies/city states you control" faster is more important when you commit to trading to Kumasi.
I would've likely just put Magnus in my capital for his internal trade route promotions if I had not had Kumasi to trade to.
