The new Fallout series is out on Amazon Prime and it's amazing, easily has become one of my favourite shows of this year so far. Fallout's best character for this show has to be The Ghoul aka Cooper Howard, they have created such a great character. What are your opinions on the new show?

I feel like cooper is supposed to be seasoned players who've played a long time and stopped carring, and lucy is the new fans making them rethink but not really.

I have a theory of what made changed Cooper from the somewhat decent man he was to the ruthless and cynical ghoul he became. I think it's so good that, frankly, if it's not what the studio intends to write they should.
In season one it seems to me that Cooper sees his wife as this embodiment of goodness, his guide star, someone he can always count on to do the right thing. We saw how traumatic it was when he heard his wife of all people seriously intending to set off a nuclear war.
I think that what turned him into a monster was giving up on goodness. And what caused that wasn't surviving in a post nuclear world but witnessing the world as he knew it being destroyed and 90% of it's people killed, then 200 years of wandering the wastes, seeing millions of skeletons, witnessing the struggling and suffering of those who survived, the world reduced to a shadow and nightmare version of what it once was. And the whole time thinking "My wife did that."
The best person he knew did the worst thing in Earth's history, that's what broke him, what made him give up on morality.
What I think happened is that, as the bombs were falling, Cooper's wife and daughter were snatched up by Vault-tec as she was upper management and taken to a reimagined Vault 0. Where either Barb and her daughter are both put in cryogenic storage or just the daughter and Barb ended up in some kind of brain-in-a-jar situation.
I think that at the end of season 2 or 3, Cooper rescues his daughter he gives her the dog he's gotten as a replacement for the one she lost in the war. Possibly he stays with her to protect her or he get's killed but thinks she'll be better off without the monster he's become.

My prediction is that he was stopped(maybe shot and left for dead) before he got to the bottom of the hill. Probably a view of him on the ground watching his daughter being taken away into a helicopter or something to be flown away. Then I bet he breaks into a house and hides in a lead fridge.

Not a bad prediction, I guess we'll find out in season 2, hopefully they do a season 2

Yeah me too. Like I said in the video, I wasn't the biggest fan of them back in the day, but the series really made me rethink playing them and I don't regret buying Fallout 4

Supposedly they sign for 10 seasons to my understanding. And I agree that Coop is arguably one of the best characters in Fallout. I totally got his outfit in 76 but I wish they went the extra mile and made it with his ghoul skin as well. 😂

Really? I'll happily take 10 seasons lmao. That's awesome dude, I'm still playing through Fallout 4 but I am definitely going to try and get his outfit in Fallout 4

I had my suspicions since episode 1, but I wasn't completely sure till about episode 3. I am still somewhat new to Fallout, both the games and lore, so I didn't understand how Ghouls worked, which is why I wasn't completely sure

Personally I don't hate when a story is set in a world like that of Fallout but I do hate it if it keeps on saying that such a world would either kill a moral person or turn them into a monster with no other alternatives.
Call me a fool but I just don't believe a post-apocalyptic world would inevitably be this cruel, nor would you have to give up all your values to survive in it. Even in Fallout games you can still find communities of decent people in the wastelands and always have the option of picking (at least what most agree on is) the good ending.

more like the most repulsive character in the series. a ghoul that starts trouble and draws attention wherever he goes should have been torn apart long ago but show runners made him invincible just because he is one of the main characters.
