  • My 1st video attempt at a concert. Jazz in the Park is a annual event in Las Vegas. This is the first of several concerts for 2019. It was amazing to see one of the greatest Jazz guitarist Norman Brown.
    Shot on May 11, 219 with Lumix G9 hand held. Recorded on Tascam DR-40 recorder.

    I've spent weeks discovering and listening to Norman Brown's music. I purposely held back from watching any live videos of him until I had my time to let it all soak in. I was not disappointing. Outstanding!

    Hello there, Thank you for sharing! I really like it. This is a great 4K video consider the low light in-door. What lens did you use for this footage? Did you have to break it in two clips since 4K is at 5 minutes limit on recording mode? Thank you!

    • @toxictabasco
      @toxictabasco  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you Amy, and thanks for your inquiry. It was low light, but outdoor at night. I used the 12-35 and 35-100 f/2.8 II lenses. I shot several short clips in 4K and synch it with the audio, and added photos and video clips to fill the gaps. Hope this helps.

      Toxic Tabasco Thanks for the reply. I’m debating whether to get a 12-35 f2.8 or 12-60 f3.5 for travel purposes. I can’t decide if zoom lens is more important or fast lens is more important. Thanks for sharing.

    First got to say love Norman Brown almost everyday I have Alexa play his greatest hits while I'm doing things around the house. "Just Between Us" in my top ten of songs but with that said at the 8:35 mark the look on the keyboardist face and the way he turn around as to say "Who the f**k is playing those wrong notes..." lmao

  • @floridapopulist
    @floridapopulist 2 года назад

    He was def dissed in the mix in the first tune hence why he asked. Keyboards were blaring. Sounds like it may have been corrected 2nd tune

    • @kckennedy55
      @kckennedy55 5 лет назад +1

      It is that Singleton guitar and that friggin' compressor! I just listened to the old BET show and his tone was smooth, round and even. I have had suspicions about that guitar ever since I first saw it. It give an unpleasant "edge" to his sound. He could possibly want it that way (don't know why). That guitar has some active electronics in it. I am not hating. I think it is a gorgeous instrument. Just not crazy about the sound. I love the dude. Steal all his licks,etc. But of late . I am not crazy about his live videos. And I admit to being extremely picky!

    • @Ding4Dong
      @Ding4Dong 4 года назад

      Been a lifelong fan, just seen him in St Louis & I've got to agree, the tone was wrong and it had a 'fuzzy' edge to it, not a clean sound at all... really disappointed. Kicked off with 'Spirit Power' which is such a great track, but unfortunately not live. And why hand over half your set to guest artists, as good as they may be I went to see NB... he probably only did about 6 numbers.
