Id love to hear him belt out a hook on a Tom Macdonald song. Something about Recovery. Like this or Tom's song Withdrawals. I mean, music needs to be treated like a hammer. Its a tool. For years, negative influences has destroyed our minds. Positive music can change the next generation. If people quit making music thats glorifying liquor and Xanax, maybe we'll quit producing alcoholics and addicts. 😂 When I was a youngster in (high's cool) that's what it was. I needed some of whatever Eazy-E was drinking....

My beautiful soulmate was troubled her whole life by an alcohol and drug addiction and lost her battle with them from an operable brain tumor 3 years ago this past May 13th, and her birthday is in a few days, how I still miss her, and how I wish I knew about this song while she was still alive. Very beautiful song

Five years ago my brother suddenly passed from an OD. They played this song at his memorial. After his death I hit a downward spiral. I didn't really care at that point if I was next I jist missed him so much. A few weeks back this song came up on here. I've been sober now for 16 days and I play this as a daily reminder of all the good times we had to this song and as a reminder to stay strong for my brother. R.I.P. Thomas Jason Lee.

@Josh Perrine dont need god, just need some strength and good support. In the last few years ive seen one of my best freinds hang himself because he had substance issues. Ive seen another buddy lose his sister too a drunk driver. Ive got freinds so hooked on meth, coke and heroin they cant seem too dig themselves out and wont accept help. ( i myself have struggled with alcohol for years). It does get easier. Part of getting through it is willing yourself too make the 1st step and talking too someone. Theres always someone willing too lend an ear and help you find your way out as long as youre willing too let them. If you need the help please feel free too msg me and ill help in any way I can. Theres nothing wrong with having someone help shoulder the load. And it will make a difference.

I found finding a positive addiction was the best cure. Think back to what you really liked when you were a kid. Hopefully everyone has something like that, or something they really like. Invest in it. Me, it was physical activity and electronics. Now I bench 385 and have a career in Networks. Wasn't easy being a felon and finding a job either. Took me a college degree, 6 years, and a perfectly clean 6 year record. Before that it was just restaurants.

Oh shit.. how have I NEVER heard this?!
Put in a cd hubby made and this played.. I had to pull over I was crying SO HARD!! I'm an addict in recovery..4 years in March.. damn painpills.. 🥺 I denied it for too long.. and couldn't SEE what everyone around me seen.. Things haven't been the same since..
People don't understand.. after a while, it's not even about getting that high anymore.. it's simply wanting to feel NORMAL.. the way we did before the addiction got us. I'm simply glad to be alive..and that my hubby is still with me.. I know I can't erase the damage I did to our family..and that's something I've gotta live with and carry to my grave..
I can spot someone fighting the same battle a mile away.. I share my journey with anyone willing to listen/read.. if someone else can start their journey of recovery because of something I've said or wrote.. I feel truly blessed..

I loved this song before I met my child's father, I tried to play rehab for him for years, and he didn't want to hear it. But as his addiction started to get worse and worse as I stood helplessly beside him, one day he let me play this song and he fell in love with it. I told him this is how he made me feel. I think he truly tried, but by time he actually was willing to admit he was alcohols bitch it was already too late, he was already at the cusp of stage 2 wet brain AKA alcoholic dementia. And when he finally gave it everything he had he was already half gone. There was not enough of him left to fight with. It was the parts of your brain that make you who you are it takes your personality, your sense, your motor skills, your organs , then as you walk around like a zombie no longer able to stop drinking your soul is gone but your skin and shell are barely clinging on . I began mourning the loss of someone who was in all appearances still present but was very audibly, emotional, intellectual, ect. Not even here any more. He caused so much heartache and wreckage and suffering and I will never forget me walking in on April 12th 2023, my 14 yr old daughters birthday, and finding his body. I don't think I can forgive him for leaving our child fatherless. So many promises,

Essentially I come from and continue the lineage of "when can I get to drinking again"?. My son, he came up with the bright idea of changing his last name. Didn't work. Anyway, been humming this tune all day long today, been familiar with this band for a few years and I'm not gonna slam their recent stuff but I sure do love the earlier times like this. I ALMOST LOST MY LEG... no where left to go... Flesh eating bacteria. In hospital for 29 days. That was the scariest thing I ever faced, (till now, unrelated to c19). when I could not feel either leg and looked under the blanket to see if I still had them. I had no support system... Toxic family, NO kids no one except my man who waa an addict too. (even tho my now ex came in one time ONLY for 10 minutes). Then when it was time to go home and take the brace off my leg... It was EVEN worse. Straight back into SURGERY immediately. They new I was an addict cause I HAD TO TELL THEM WHAT AND HOW MUCH, SO I COULD BE COMFORTABLE AFTER 5 SURGERIES in 29 days on one leg. They sent me home with meds. And within 3 days I was not taking as directed in any form or fashion. I was crying for another few days as I almost lost my legs! I felt pitiful or WORSE... I STILL DON'T KNOW A WORD FOR HOW I FELT. I'll tell YOU RIGHT NOW,

I'M LISTENING AND WAITING... well as you read above, MY god put me in a place I could not leave. Bond was wayyyy too MUCH. I cried only cause I would miss my pug, who just gave birth about a week prior. His (my ex) mom took care of them thank goodness.
I'm a spiritual person for many years. When I left (EOS) paper FREE... I NEVER LOOKED BACK. THAT IS THE BEST THING THAT YOU NEED TO DO and MAKE HAPPEN... FORGET ABOUT PEOPLE, blood or no blood even my best friend who is a non user and has never even drank.. If they do not add value in your life and love you used with, even FAMILY. I HAVE NOT HAD ONE CRAVING in almost 10 years. I chose to enter a program on my own for free from a lady who would visit with us. In that program she basically TOOK IN A FERAL CAT AND DOMESTICATED ME...LOL. 😜🌌 THE UNIVERSE HAS A FUNNY WAY OF DOING THINGS AND INTERACTING WITH US ALL.
I chose was there for about a year. I took me a long look at the man( woman) in the MIRROR... I silently and honestly forgave myself for all the stupid crap I did. Then, the 3 people I hated the most in my life...my own family... SMFH!
When I went soul searching I felt like I took a beautiful swan dive off a 50 story building. I opened up that DIRTY closet grabbed everything. Dusted off ALL THE cobwebs on those skeletons in my closet... Boy oh boy, you'll be surprised what you find in THERE. #TRUTH. I admitted to myself and took MY PART, then the REST I forgave to end the arguing with the family. They are still TOXIC people and they live in SHAME. That's on them not YOU.
I have my own family now that are only a select few people are part of.
I'm pretty sure you might feel the same. You are doing good, and the right thing. If you feel it INSIDE.... You're finally ready. Blessings and well wishes too you. Small steps....Your world will go from black and white to full color 4K ULTRA HD! It's beautiful... Don't look BACK only FORWARD.

I met Danny, Denny and Brooks in 2003, Hano, Mike ect too
We all ended up at my house after the show at Amos' South end in Charlotte NC.
Got my neck Tat with Danny at J2's house, years latter.
    Kelsey is the Best.
From that time we all worked/goofed off together, Rehab did what they did and we went our different ways.
Denny, J2, Soulful I and Myself did our thing, we had some success but not like Danny.
Some of the best times of my life were spent at Billy Hume's making music with these guys.
I know you people don't really give a shit.
I tell You all this because We all deserve to live, love and Work at our best with the best.

Still the most underrated music group out there! Better lyrics and more meaning in their songs than 90% of any sort of music out today. This is coming from someone who listens to classic rock, new rock, hip-hop, pop, top-40, death rap, techno, industrial, shred metal, some country, outlaw and even what people call country today. Been listening to Rehab since the 90s. Met them a couple times at shows. Danny is the real deal!

A buddy of mine faced something similar about 3 years ago.
His wife took off and left him with a son and twin daughters to raise on his own.
I find any excuse I can to put my work trucks, tractor, and family car in his shop for maintenance and repairs.
I can do it myself. But this way I help him help himself.
I have friends that have done that for me in retrospect when I struggled with my wife's health care issues for a time.
Hardest thing for a man to deal with is to feel useless.
I recommend that if you know one that is struggling and puts family first.
Food is a good gift to help out to.

From my view it looks like a struggling dad, he looks like a really good dad. one I never had. I love seeing videos or images or real life of a dad with his daughter getting a make over (nothing gay or fetish) it really shows who the good dads are. I wish I had a dad like that I am a guy but my dads a jerk. this may be a video actor but he is being a good dad.

I am the god when I talk the storm stops or sing if I ain't got demons to cover over my mouth as talking as people wise people really don't understand him or God he don't bring in the storms satin and his demons do most people don't see it if they did they would be scared to know the truth if you can sing a song in somebodie else,s bodi then why can't you do it in yours cause thinking it works stay up all night and all day drinking strong coffee like six little spoon fulls in a filter and fill it up to ten and smoke a lot if cegarits but in the other bodi you are in is probably smoking weed or methamphetamine if people saw that they would not talk in soul or Human cause you follow the one of the bodi you ate in and control them to do what they want till they come to your front door and usually you have to kill them or they are gonna kill you I'm not talking bout beat or jump but they will have a gun and probably be a rapper more than what most think so if you think talking in your mind controls you it don't you never control yourself and never will that is what the bible explains bout murder and prison it is the other one doing that and usually the rapper us singing for you on stage getting your moni. Including you will meet up with them one day if you say a few words in your soul and mind spirit is for the one that you are controlling I live in Lake Whitney TX it is a vacation place small but I like it I'm not satin
