@@YardCoach thanks for responding. I’m wondering if it’s OK to prune this plant in the fall. It got a little bit too big and I didn’t get around to it earlier. I’m wondering if this will affect the blooms in spring.

@annhan777 do not prune now. You should wait until right after next year’s bloom then head the plant back to your desired shape. It blooms on last year’s wood so pruning now will hamper next years bloom for sure. Now with that said if you want to delay a year and get things under control then have at it.

No, I have another question. This isn’t about Lila. It’s about a rosebush which grew quite large this year as most things did this year. I did cut some of the branches back yesterday. I don’t think that is going to affect it. Do you have any comments on that?

I have one and it’s gotten 5-6 foot in about 12 years, but I love it! The fragrance is amazing! 🤩
