Wt about Symmetrical and Unsymmetrical bidentate ligands... Is there any difference in twist... A question might come asking how many compounds can perform the twist giving several complexes with Unsymmetrical and Symmetrical bidentate ligands
The unsymmetrical chelating ligand won't give enantiomer by twisting mechanism. They might give other form of isomerism. Yes you are correct, questions can be asked based on that too, so if you understood the concept, you can simply answer in the exam.
Ans. 1.B and 2.D I have a doubt Sir... Can Bailar twists operating first?? Or we can go through Ray -Dutt twists to form a enantiomer and then via bailar twists to conclude the original one??
You can do any of the twist any way, it's not necessary to perform Bailer first and then Ray-Dutt. I did that in video so that I don't have to rearrange the models.
