- In this video I compare a couple of Disraeli Gears pressings of Cream. The ones are;
Back To Black stereo reissue by MPO
2nd US stereo pressing on ATCO
1st German stereo pressing
Original UK 1st stereo pressing
Original UK 1st monl pressing
What is the best sounding version?

I have a first US pressing and was hoping to upgrade to a first UK stereo, however I've heard pretty poor reviews about the quality...To this day Cream remains one of my favorite bands, just finished off obtaining 3/3 autographs with Clapton! Thank you for taking the time to do this comparison, currently the only one on RUclips!
Amazing to have 5 pressingsof the same album in one's collection.I only own doubles, ususally the worse gets sold....cheers Klaus
Thanks! The UK stereo is of a friend of mine and I guess I’ll sell the Back To Black, the others I wouldn’t like to miss really…
Thanks for the awesome review. Glad I found this before purchasing 😊
Thank you! I am happy to hear that!
@@top5records796 just grabbed a UK original stereo pressing. Also just subscribed. Thank you 🙏
looking forward to this. haven‘t found a fully satisfying pressing yet
Might be a spoiler but; nor have I…
@@top5records796 thats what I thought. still will be great to see whats your favorite pressing.
Hello, this record was made in the USA , and the mixing was terrible. I got a us mono first pressing and its ok but no excellent. This great album deserves a New remix by Kevin Gray o Ryan K. Smith. Greetings from Peru, South America
@@top5records796 Hi, i'm quite happy with my UK Reaction 1968 stereo copy. But I'm very curious about the later (1973) UK reissue RSO . This is a comment from Better-records, (Hot Stampers) :"" Both sides of this vintage RSO UK copy were giving us the big and bold sound we were looking for, earning outstanding Double Plus (A++) grades -
You aren’t going to believe how hard this copy rocks, with all the WHOMP and ENERGY you never knew was there. This superb copy has the kind of smooth, analog sound you need for this music - warm, rich, smooth, and pretty much free of the nasty grain that gets in the way on most pressings. There’s good extension up top, and the bottom end is meaty and well-defined"". Having 7 "Hot Stampers" from Better-records in my collection, i can say that they know what they are talking about.
@@Liebermann2012Unfortunately, Kevin Gray and Ryan Smith only do remasters, not remixes.
Hmv released a Orange Limited Edition for Disraeli Gears have tried that one?
I have not, should I?
@@top5records796 it was pressed in 2023 could be the best one
I heard the abbey road half speed is fire. It’s currently out of print, hopefully it comes back
Had a poor Disraeli pressing in great shape. Finally got a great pressing, sounding pretty good.
Nice! Which pressing?
Stereo, ATCO; well i better play it again because i didn't expect ATCO to be of any hi fidelity!@@top5records796
